I like that Alexa has kind of flirty relationships with Harry and Reuben, but they aren't in romantic relationships.

I liked the "fashion show" at the end of episode 10.  It looked as if they weren't sure if the show would be picked up for a new season and if not, this would be the "we're family" series finale.

I think Madison is really attractive, but there is no way she would be accepted as a runway model at her weight -- which is fine for a regular person, but models are thin, almost anorexic.

Now days they do accept some "overweight" models. Not because they really like it, for PR /PC reasons I am afraid...

I agree with so many of the thoughts shared already. It was a really pleasant and enjoyable season, really comforting, like revisiting friends. Lucy Lawless is wonderful. I've loved her since Xena, and watched her a little in Spartacus which was quite the turn. Forget, that she was also in Battlestar Galactica. This has been really a really fun show to watch her in.

I also felt like if the show doesn't come back, that last scene in E10 would be a nice sendoff. But I want another season, maybe 2 more!

Felt nice to see Alexa acknowledge quietly to herself that she does have friends and that she's happy to have them.

10 episodes really doesn't feel like enough!

I really enjoy this show -- and I did not like it in the first season. The relationship between Alexa and Madison is great and I like the addition of Beth to the team.

The bright colors shown throughout the show really do add to the mood. Auckland looks sparkling and gorgeous.

I hope that they get additional seasons.

You must not be watching all the crime and mystery shows of the UK! Nothing but sunshine and blue skies all the time. And the characters are cheerful and energetic, too! You can't imagine anyone ever being depressed there. 🙄

I like to watch the shows coming out of NZ and Australia. Not only do they tend to be lighter, but...sunshine. The Good Karma Hospital is colorful, too.

The article has some confusing sentences, I think, like seemingly talking about a main Season 1 character as not returning in Season 4. I'd like to see the Harry character return. I liked the way he and Alexa fake-flirted with each other.

This article is from India. Obviously English isn't the author's first language.

Lucy Lawless stars in this contemporary Australian detective drama as retired cop Alexa Crowe. With her old boss (Bernard Curry) regularly asking for her insight on cold cases and a young police data-analyst (Ebony Vagulans) eager to be mentored--whether Alexa wants to or not--Alexa can't seem to stop solving crime.

Alexa is bringing her friends and family along for the ride: Tech guru Madison (Ebony Vagulans) is stepping up, contributing her considerable technical skills to Alexa's investigations and the two of them have fallen into a comfortable mentor-mentee relationship. Though neither of them will ever agree on who is the mentor and who is the student. Cafe owner Reuben (Joe Naufahu) is stepping in. Brother Will (Martin Henderson) is staying close. Detective Harry (Rawiri Jobe) has her back and cranky cat, Chowder, can't help complicating everything.

Emboldened by the changes in her life, ready to revisit demons of the past and excited to embrace her future, this year Alexa is even more of a force, determined to reveal the most carefully hidden secrets that crack the most bewildering cases. And, somehow, she and her fabulous whanau (chosen family) still have a bunch of fun along the way. Let the Auckland adventures begin again...

I saw something about BBC America

It's going to premiere on Acorn and BBC America next week for US viewers.  But it sounds like Zaffy already saw it?

ETA--I looked on Wikipedia, and it appears as if it airs on a broadcast channel there before it goes to Acorn which is why people in NZ likely have already seen it.

Just watched episode 1 of Season 4 and loved it. The relationship between Madison and Alexa has gotten even deeper; she has definitely learned some tricks from Alexa.

Continue to love the vibrant colors and the beautiful shots of New Zealand.

We watched it last night and really enjoyed it. Plus we have a cat that looks just like Cruz!

Did you catch the line when the stylists mentioned dying her hair darker and doing bangs?

I'm not caught up on fashion in the lower hemisphere but I'm not liking the bell bottom flowing pants or the lime green accessories.  I'm assuming they're filming in winter or spring so Alexa can keep her signature jacket.

NZ pretty much doesn't ever get out of the 70s in the summer. Their summer.

I just discovered this series on PBS last night, they aired S01E1, The Boyfriend Experience. I enjoyed it so much that I found S01 being offered on PBS Passport so I watched S01E02 last night as well and look forward to the entire seasons. That said, I see that PBS only offers S01 right now and I have several seasons to catch up on, so where do I find them? Are they all behind a pay wall on Acorn? I did see that BBC America seems to be airing them but it seems like different seasons.

I have Acorn and I can watch any of the episodes no extra fee.
