Season 11 Episode Recaps and Recap Schedule

It's a new year and a new season is about to start!  Like last year, my schedule will not permit me to recap every every episode so this will be the place for me to find suckers volunteers and for everyone else to find a quick and easy link to the recaps.

How this thread works:

1. As the season schedule becomes available I'll post the episode dates and titles and ask for writing volunteers.  
2. If you would like to write recaps:  That's great!  The only requirement is that you be able to post your recap reasonably soon after the episode airs, say within a couple of days.  There is a bit of time involved - I'd say it takes me approximately an hour to write a recap on top of watching the episode.  So volunteer here for a date that works for you, post your recap in the episode thread, and I'll put a link to it here.
3. If you would like to read recaps:  This is the place!  Here is where you'll find the links that take you directly to the recaps so that you don't have to search through pages and pages of the episode thread.  
4. Let's keep episode and other Brown-related discussion in those other threads so that this one will be brief and simple to scroll through to find the links.

And finally, nobody died and made me recap god.  I've done this for a few years and learned a few things along the way, but I'm just a boring monogamist, so what do I know?  Other ideas are totally welcome!  The way I see it, those of us who recap so that others don't have to watch are doing the Lord's work.  😇

Does anyone know if episodes are up on Hulu the next day? I'd love to volunteer to recap but I need a reliable way to watch it within a day or so and I don't have cable any more. But I do have Hulu (without live TV).

New season doesn’t start in Australia on TLC until April this year ☹️ I’ll be relying on these recaps until then for my Brown family snarking, so thanks in advance to those that take the role on!

The way I see it, I have time to develop a nice, serious drinking problem to get me through.

TLC is kicking off the season in a slightly bizarre fashion and is airing Episode 2 at 8 am on a Thursday.

So far I've got...

• 1/5 - Episode 1, "Kicked Out" - @LilWharveyGal
• 1/9 - Episode 2, "Happier Alone" - @the-grey-lady
• 1/12 - Episode 3, "Lonely in Flagstaff" - @the-grey-lady

Update to Episode 2.

So, my understanding is that this whackfest begins tomorrow (Sunday), right? I usually watch it on Amazon, but we're staying at a hotel tomorrow night so I'll get to watch it in real time.

BTW, Janelle looks nicely dressed on the recent promo pic.  The others look like they've gained some weight, except for Christine, maybe. They've all been told to look mad, which does nothing to make them more attractive.

I think they may be airing episodes 1 and 2 back to back, but the cable guide is only showing one episode because of the two hour block.

Wacky.  Well, for now I'll keep the episode numbers that match the TLC schedule but we can play it by ear, @the-grey-lady. If it airs on the 5th with Episode 1 I can recap it, and if it airs on the 9th it's all yours.

Seriously - my DVR recorded the two-hour show, which was actually two one-hour shows, and then the two one-hour shows followed the two-hour show, and I have recordings of all of it.

I'll take 1/19 or 1/26 - assuming we have new shows on those days, and not on a Wednesday at 3:47 am or something.

Also, if TLC could NOT show the abandoned pets commercial and/or Dr. PP at every single break (I can't even type out the name, it literally gives me full-body shudders), then that would be just DANDY.

I've watched parts of a couple of episodes because I was wondering how some people get such huge "pimples".  It turns out that most of what she deals with are actually cysts with white cream-cheese-like filling (made up of dead skin cells), not pimples.  And they will fill up again if she doesn't remove the encapsulating pouch that a cyst makes for itself, which other doctors don't do, so some patients have had them for years. Dr PP does have a very nice bedside manner and is the last hope for many of them.

My husband watches it.  We have an agreement now - if I am coming into a room where he has the tv on and this show is playing, he gives me a loud and clear warning.  I will literally walk past the tv with my hands over my eyes.  I have such a visceral reaction to this particular show that I can't even watch or listen to the commercials!

I work in healthcare, but I'm on the clerical end.  I have walked into our breakroom and the nurses will be chilling, eating their lunches, watching Dr. PP or some other hideous show - just chowing down on their Lean Cuisines like it's no big deal.  The other day I told them they were all crazy before I ran out of the room.  I guess it's all in your constitution, or lack thereof, LOL.
