These two couldn't be more ridiculous if they tried.

Breaks are for families who have schedules. You know, jobs, school, clubs, sports, hobbies , etc. I'm not sure Carlin and Evan's daily routine of Starbucks and Target runs would qualify.

Tennessee doesn't celebrate Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples' Day. 

However, I did some googling, and the schools do have a fall break this coming week. I assume that Evan's nieces and nephews go to some sort of Christian school and are not home schooled.

But hey, it's a reason for another trip, right? 🙄

I don’t blame them for wanting to spend time with Evan’s family. They get the out of town we don’t see you enough treatment. They are on their way to the beach, one of Evan’s sisters is driving because poor, overworked Evan is napping in the backseat. Layla and Zade will be doted on while Carlin and Evan do what they do best, nothing.

Just an odd thing to say in their case. I went to public school all of my life, and never did I even have a “fall break” that I can remember. What are they talking about?

The only thing resembling a Fall break is the week of Thanksgiving break, but that is a month away.

School cannot have been in session longer than a couple of months; it is awfully early for a 'fall break' if such things actually existed.  As it is, school kids and government employees might get Columbus Day/native American Day; but most of us regular working stiffs do not.  Not that Carlin or Evan has any idea about the lives of regular working people.

Did y'all know there is a such a thing as period seizures? I'm not sure Carlin has a real disorder/illness, but these menstruation seizures would kind of make sense.

Carlin also mentioned she had a seizure in the car after Trace's wedding. Amazing how it didn't happen during the ceremony or reception, and she was apparently well enough to get Starbucks on the way home. Also, no mention of the seizure when she was posting about pizza rolls, fun and games at midnight 🙄

A lot of women with epilepsy find that their cycles affect their seizures. But that's real epilepsy, not Carlin's factitious disorder "epilepsy."

FWIW, Evan characterized the “event” as a “half event.” Carlin started feeling unwell during the reception and Evan got her to the car on time. They said it was not a full whatever it is she’s having. 

Carlin is the second Bates daughter to claim the baby train has stopped for now. I’m surprised they are taking her health into consideration. They both said maybe five years in the future they will want more kids. 
 

I know the videos are a once a week thing, it does not consume their days. But every time I watch Carlin, Alyssa, and even Josie, the kids need their moms and are left hanging. Poor Zade was off to the side then passed from one parent to the other with very little interaction. I would royally suck at being an influencer because I’d be too busy engaging with my kids. Even if it’s just to reassure them I hear them. 
 

I’m absolutely disappointed that Evan seems so darn comfortable joining the Gil Bates School of Grifting. He had a solid example from his father. Evan grew up with more than Carlin because his parents had the good sense of having only 6-7 (?) kids, and his father worked at a lucrative trade until retirement. Too bad Evan doesn’t want to provide the same for his children.

In 10 years I'm guessing Evan will be starting at the bottom rung as an electrician because they'll be broke. YT, IG shilling, BSB will all be gone. Carlin will be buying make-up at the dollar store and color will return to the kids' clothes because she'll be buying them at Walmart.

I feel like Carlin should take a good look at the Ace Family to see how fast YouTube fame can implode. They went from making millions to being evicted from their home. 

Granted, the Stewarts live on a much smaller scale, but the lack of planning is alarming.

@GeeGolly, that's not true. The Stewarts plan their next attention-whoring "spontaneous" trip to Target like they did for that pregnancy announcement/gender reveal/whatever. That wasn't a vacation! Certainly not for the Target employees who had to pick up their "props."

It really is a thing.  They start school in early August and have a fall break, 3 days at Thanksgiving , a Christmas break, a spring break, and a few assorted days off during the year. I guess it works because their summer vacation is closer to 2 months than 3. 

Now Carlin and Evan's kids are not in school, but it seems they will take any excuse for a vacation.

Cliff Notes version: wildly popular family vloggers (i.e., horrible parents who exploit their children for a buck). They're like the Stew Crew on steroids. They ended up in a financial mess due to lawsuits and unpaid loans, and their mansion got foreclosed on. They still get views, but not remotely close to what they had in their heydey. 

I brought them up to underscore what you mentioned: Influencer fame is fickle and will eventually end. There's only so far Carlin can go with what she has. Once her fans get tired of the health crises, then what?

Fall Breaks are very common at colleges and universities, usually falling about the 2nd or 3rd weekend (plus the following Monday and Tuesday) of October.  C&E seem to want to live that kind of lifestyle. Too bad they got married and had kids instead of being normal late teens/20 year olds. They obviously weren't ready for the responsibilities.

Carlin also reminds me of an old Hole song (out around the time of my own college days.) The lines goes, "When they get what they want, then they never want it again." This seems to be true for all the things Carlin just has to have and have it in the moments or she whines--new baby, new house. Once she has it, she quickly loses interest. Fine if that's just a new pair of shoes, but these fundies brainwash them into "wants" that are above and beyond their maturity level.

Yes, the hormonal fluctuations of the menstrual cycle can trigger seizures, especially the drop in hormones that precedes the period.  Migraines can also be triggered by the onset of the period.

One option for prevention would be to take the birth control pill continuously to prevent the hormone fluctuations.  Of course, I expect this option would never even be considered by Carlin.

They seemingly film when the medical professionals are out of the room.  I recall one video of the paramedics wheeling her into the ER, but all the others contained just the two of them.

I can attest that, if she comes to Cleveland Clinic and is seen filming anything, she and Evan will be politely asked to stop and will be escorted from the facility if they don't.  She can probably video herself in the exam room while waiting for the doctor, but that's about it.   There is a very strict 'no filming on the premises without authorization' rule to protect the privacy and ensure the safety of everyone who works there or is visiting.  I cannot imagine TPTB consenting to filming for a family blog, especially one that is monetized.

The few times Carlin has gone dark since this fainting saga began, I actually find myself leaning toward worry. Is she really sick? Was she really sick? Is it all bullshit? Is she having medical issues right now and that explains the radio silence?

I can only imagine how the followers who are sucked all the way in are feeling.

It looks like they are having a blast at the beach. I’ve noticed that Layla tans well. I hope they are applying lots of sunscreen to the babies. 
 

I’m jealous of Layla’s tan. It has been and will be a really long time before we can take a vacation like that.

FWIW we are draconian about sunscreen with our daughter. Always use highest SPF possible, but she has been blessed with the melanin that should have been allotted to me. SGIrl gets a beautiful tan despite her parents vigilance. If you look at Layla besides most of her cousins you realize she is not fair skinned.

That does not look like a tan. I believe that Carlin is using filters.  I was told by a dermatologist that if your skin changes color you are damaging it and the only safe tan comes from a bottle.  I have not been in the sun to get a tan in years and years. I have had 6 skin cancers and was told this damage happened years ago. Neither Carlin nor Evan have dark skin like Layla so I hope this is just a filter.
