You’re not alone in that. 🙂

And where she can be seen having those “episodes” and get a lot of attention. And she didn’t even miss her Starbucks run afterward. 😳

Definitely not. I just ordered more KN95s.

Topic: Anybody else wonder if the Bateseses had to pay people to show up for their sale? Or how long it'll be before Evan the Moron announces that he's going to "work for himself" or be a house husband or some dumb thing that does not involve being an electrician?

I wouldn't put it past them.  Or that they offered some other incentive that gets people in the doors.  They annoy me so much.  So they bought Little Caesars pizza and sold it by the slice.  Why would these people pay for that when they could walk next door and buy a pizza for less?  I thought that was really shitty.

I've often wondered about Evan the Moron's training/apprenticeship.  I had a friend who looked into it . After a 5 year apprenticeship he would owe a little over 20k if he left the union. That gets paid back with 5 years of service,  4k every year.  So if he left, will he have to pay back the company?  I know other jobs are like this too.  If you are hired on and go through training, you are expected to stay at least a year, depending on the contract.

Or they just don't care and will pay it back so he can "take care" of his dumb as rocks wife.   Dumb leading the dumb.

OK. bear with me here, I suspect she is a zombie.  Let's look at what we know.  She has passed several times and come back. She seems to have these spells when around groups of people - perhaps her blood lust becomes extreme but she cannot partake with so many watching so she passes. Prior to passing she often stumbles around like a zombie.  Zombie? Halfbie?  Or just a fool who forgets to double check what she posts?

I'm guessing Carlin's episodes were due to poor diet and poor sleep with a little touch of Carlin's natural histrionics and a big touch of SMitis. If this is true Carlin should just come clean and say so.

Everybody understands how scary it would be to keep passing out. Everybody understands how scary and long a diagnosis can take. Everybody understands the difficulties in juggling two young kids and neglecting your health. And unfortunately (most) everybody understands wanting to lose the baby weight.

Carlin and Evan could do a video explaining it all and it could be a PSA to other new mothers out there.

That would require introspection, brains, and the willingness to give a shit about someone besides themselves.

I think her episodes were fake, or at minimum, mostly fake.

Someone on Reddit took a picture of the Boutique after the sale closed, and it looked like they had tons of stuff left over. I wonder how many people came to shop and how many were lookey-loos?

I posted earlier that there were many, many bundles of hay sized stacks of clothing on racks I saw in some picture post. I mean many, many!

I wonder if their deal involved quantity rather than quality and they’re overwhelmed with inventory?

Also has anyone analytical done any kind of spread sheet showing SM progress since the show ended?

Just had a conversation with a repairman and he told me a lot of people are making their money that way.

She posted a short house update video which concentrated on their bedroom. They are doing one room at a time. She ordered a “huge” mirror for one wall in the bedroom. Her question for engagement purposes, they have carpet in their room, should they also add a rug. That’s it.

If they weren't so fundie, they'd probably put the mirror on the ceiling and start filming themselves in the bedroom, just to make really big bucks. Then Evan can quit his job once they become home porn stars. 😆🤣😁

I'm surprised they don't have more mirrors.  They are both so in love with themselves.  They'd never admit to the above, but bet they do.

I suppose they could write off a huge mirror as a business expense. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Does anyone know the shelf life of influencers? I know its a newish profession, but advertisers as a rule cater to those in their 20s - 30s. Evan and Carlin are still young, but between aging and losing Bates notoriety, won't they eventually become old news?

I'm not saying every person in their 20s works in the same career their entire life, but most make upward moves for more money and job satisfaction.

I'm thinking life after influencing would include a big lifestyle change. It would be years before Evan could bring home anything close to what they're making now and they'd lose all their freebies.

I hope someone is giving them financial advice.

i agree, quitting the steady union job would be foolish but he wouldn't necessarily be throwing away all his training. Individual homeowners still need electrical work done -- outlets, switches, fixtures, fans, rewiring. In his own home he installed multiple can lights in every room. That kind of work doesn't come cheap.

I think if they are able to come up with content their followers are interested in they will last.  It's hard work.

I follow a woman on YouTube that posts every single day at the same time.  Her content is interesting and enjoyable.  She's been doing it for at least five years now and keeps adding new viewers each time I look.  10 minute videos of interest.

So can they last yes they can if they can get it right!  Right now they are coming down off the show so that's an advantage they won't keep getting.  Watch subscribers.

I'm curious.  Do those posting videos on tic toc and on Facebook get paid or do they just get paid on YouTube?

I found this article informative because so much emphasis has been made about Evan belonging to a union. Its really not that big of a difference and not that big of a deal at all. Our friend, a licensed electrician runs his own non-union business. He's been at it for about 20 years. His dedication has paid off and he lives very well.

TikTok has a creator fund, similar  to YouTube. you have to have a certain number of followers, and views etc, to qualify. Facebook can also be monetized.

Thank you. I asked because I noticed a lot of YouTube people are doing Facebook!  I don’t follow much TikTok so unfamiliar with that.

Evan has a story on Carlin’s IG. Since resuming her meds Carlin has been sleeping a lot, and frequently nauseous. Evan said she had two bad episodes “down on the floor” last week. They still do not have the results of the EEG. Evan said that Carlin’s frustration is about either avoiding episodes but feeling crappy in other ways, or risking episodes. She has a follow up appointment in a week. Someone here posted that Evan doesn’t have much time left on leave. I’m too lazy to figure it out.  This is where taking the full twelve weeks is going to bite him in the arse. Too bad his parents didn’t help him see the big picture. Carlin was asleep during the video with Layla and Evan talking next to her. I do feel for Carlin. But darn, Evan really mismanaged his FMLA.

Evan posted on May 23 that he was applying for FMLA.  At that point, Carlin had been hospitalized for a couple of days, so it might've been retroactive.  He certainly didn't seem to have gone to work since well before Tiff and Lawson's wedding  on May 12. Presuming his leave started 5/23,  he is in his 7th week out of 12.

From what we've seen, he could've very easily been working for most of the time he has been off and just used FMLA as needed for doctor's appointments or when Carlin was having specific issues.  As I recall, she was doing well prior to the last EEG and was fine until dum-dum didn't resume her meds after the test.  All in all, he should've been working the past few weeks.

Obviously, they are making plenty of money from their various online ventures and his interest in continuing his career as an electrician is nonexistent.

So Carlin said she was going to restart her meds the day after BSB's sale. This would be day four. Last time she started her meds she was going back and forth to Evan's parents, then she was packing up her old house, going for walks, shopping at Lowe's/Home Depot.

In the last three weeks since the EEG, when she stopped the meds, Carlin has unpacked, decorated, shilled clothes and gone on vacation. I'm thinking seizure meds don't stay in your system past a couple of days, but somehow Carlin went from 1 or 2 seizures a week to 2 weeks without one.

Anti-seizure meds have side effects, like any other medication (I speak from experience with anti-seizure meds). It doesn't mean Evan the Moron needs to stay home all the time.

I doubt they don't have her EEG results yet. I think they're selling a bill of goods. Yes, I am a cynic.

Yeah but he didn’t know if it was next week or the week after. Which tells me they already know the results/findings from the test so they aren’t real concerned about the follow up appointment. The whole situation has a bad smell about it.

Her results should already be available, by law, in her online MyChart. The 21st Century Cures Act went into effect in 2021.

Yes, as I wrote at the same time you were posting, the law requires those results to be available to patients as soon as they’re available. Doctors cannot wait to release them.

The Cures Act Explained

“The Cures Act aims to ensure that patients have timely access to their health information. The Cures Act rule requires all physicians to make their office notes, laboratory results, and other diagnostic reports available to patients as soon as the physician’s office receives an electronic copy.”

https://www.cap.org/member-resources/cures-act-information

 MORE:

Patients have always had the right to request their health records, including results and notes. Effective March 29, 2021, the following information will be available immediately:

All finalized clinical notes (Inpatient, Outpatient, Emergency Department & Procedures)

Behavioral/Psychiatric/Mental Health notes (Psychotherapy notes excluded)

****Clinical results (Lab, Radiology, Pathology, Genetics, EKG & EEGs)

Allergies, Assessment and Plan of treatment, Care Team, Demographics, Goals, Health Concerns, Immunizations, Medications, Problems, Procedures, Implantable Devices, Vital Signs & Smoking Status

I can't fault her for ignorance here. I was today years old when I first heard of the Cures Act.

I get that, but part of the act also requires that providers inform you that your results will be available asap in your MyChart. When I had my mammogram this year, the technician gave me written and oral instructions explaining when results would be available and exactly how to access them. All providers are now required to do this.  Carlin has had how many tests and medical visits in the last few months? She has been told, probably multiple times, how to access this information. I’m sure she also received written instructions more than once. My results and visit notes have all been available almost immediately. The EEG results may have taken a bit longer, but not this long.

I didn’t know of the Cures Act either but have experience with it; last year Ozziedad had a seizure that lead to a trip to the ER. He had a benign tumor which was removed but is on Kepra, a common anti seizure medication. He’s had multiple scans and tests in the last 12 months and we’ve been able to see all the results fairly quickly. The follow up doctor appointments are usually where the doctor answers questions and discuss how medications are doing etc. I’m guessing Carlin and Evan were just too overwhelmed by the situation and were not absorbing what the doctor told them. And are too busy on SM to check out her medical records online. Our experience has been that they are very reluctant to take anyone who has had a seizure off the anti-seizure meds for at least a year. I think Carlin has expressed before about her anxiety around doctor visits so who knows what she thought about her medications.

No one to!d me that when I had my mammogram late last year. That said, I had the results in my network's system by the time I got home (and it was a scare).

My mammogram technician told me that the doctors try to get those results in by the end of each day, if possible. They are speedy! It’s a relief not having to wait. I also get both texts and emails letting me know whenever new test results are available reminding me to check my online chart.

My network has had such a system in place for several years. It's great to be able to be able to sit down and digest bloodwork results and not be rushed. 😀

Carlin is young and dumb. I doubt she knows these resources are available to her.

Me too.  Working in the medical field for ages has something to do with that.  I've seen horrible things,  things much worse than their vids of her laying on the floor after an "episode".

I say I'm heartless, but I'm not.  I just tire of bullshit easily and they are bullshit artists.  I also can't tolerate ones that don't follow, or even try, to follow doctors orders.  Playing stupid like neither one of them didn't know to start the medication again after the EEG.  What good is his taking time off to "care" for her, if he can't even remember and follow simple instructions?

Due to the law, providers must explicitly tell patients about it. They were told and probably given written information on exactly how to access it online.

Actually, Evan starting his own company may not be a bad idea. He has the education, experience and contacts. If he caught on doing contract work or even warranty work for companies,  he could clean up and still be his own boss. Why work for someone else and make them rich?

Experience? Didn’t he only recently finish training?  And he can’t even seem to remember simple things, and exaggerates and lies to boot.
