  1. They had Mike searching the globe for life when he was up in the space station. The new guy's significant other went to Asia and hasn't heard anything (the show's been off for so long I forgot his name). Was the bunker was only stocked for a year? Pamela was only there for two years, right? Her "friend" and hubby (and cat) were supposed to go there. Seems light for all that trouble. I guess they were planning on a short-lived global epidemic...
  2. Probably because people have tried in the past and it just doesn't sink in with him for more than a split second, if at all. Louise is new to the scene, she doesn't know any better - she still has hope. ;)
  3. No, Peg overheard Martin telling Gertrude a fib to get her disinterested in him because she (and Peg from afar) thought they were on a date. They were on a ferry together because Niles wanted Daphne's mom out of the house so he could propose. At least I think it was the same character Martin had been interested in from work.
  4. Welcome, kinky! There is an off-topic Movies forum, so maybe there are some movies of interest being discussed. I just checked out the Oscar speculation. I enjoyed most of this episode - about 40 minutes in I felt it starting to drag - but the pacing in the first half was pretty good. Of course, it probably helped that I waited to watch until after it was almost over so I could FF through the commercial breaks. (DS' acting over-reliance with all the tics can be a bit much at times.) What happened to the dog?? So, hubby inherited place in '40s, it took 30 years to create Summerland (or that happened 30 years ago?), but we still don't know the when of the show? I know this was discussed up thread, but I should have listened to that part again (I guess I missed the "ago"). (Wow, it's only Saturday and I'm already foggy on the details!)
  5. Maybe Daryl would have dropped his guard a bit, but he felt Carol needed him to be strong for her then. The hugs are nice (with Rick and Carol), but the writers want Daryl in kill mode apparently, so no time for meaningful/emotional/cathartic scenes between Daryl and Maggie or Daryl and Carol. More Carl and Michonne interaction would be nice.
  6. I wasn't sure if Alex was talking about what she was planning on doing when she went back to school (as in not back yet - took year off not semester from CalTech) or if she had gone back in some capacity. I figured the former since there hasn't been any indication she's back to her studying ways. So all of a sudden the company is in dire straits?! I thought quite recently Claire was acting like they were doing so well. The writers must have watched HGTV for research on the Phil/Jay plot line - they never find the severe problems until after purchase when most should have already been disclosed/discovered. Yeah, not based in reality there either, but they do it for the drama! And this show is a comedy, so who cares about reality-based details when a joke can be had! I give Haley a pass on not knowing Peter Dinklage. She probably wouldn't have known the name of the actor who plays Jon Snow either and coverage of his whole death thing was inescapable. Cam surprisingly didn't annoy me as much as usual, but come on, child and hubby to think of. And he was only stuck for an hour...as a teenager - let the baby have this one.
  7. Mrs. Wajadubakowski (sp?). ;) There was that Peg (security guard Martin worked with) for a couple episodes that didn't go anywhere. It seemed a waste of that actress, like there was supposed to be more story there than just a misunderstanding that he was with Daphne's mom. (Also, Cam's mom, who I think was mentioned recently above.)

Yes, I believe that was right after Joe. i think Daphne called them "Mr." and "Dr." until she got married, which makes sense that she would finally switch over then. There was the awkward bit between Daphne and Martin where she decides to keep calling him "Mr. Crane" instead of "Martin" or "Dad" (at least for a little while longer). It did sound weird when Daphne switched over, but then it was a bit weird that she kept up the formalities for as long as she did anyway living with them as long as she did. And especially in the case of Niles, she supposedly considered him a friend early on and didn't work for him (although supposedly he was chipping in?), so she could have dropped one "Dr. Crane" usage...but then we would've missed out on a few "Dr. Crane...Dr. Crane" jokes.
  9. Not really a media story for Torchwood, but didn't know where to put this... It's just been announced that the BBC is giving Scotland its own channel. So, maybe somebody should remind them there's a Torchwood 2 in Scotland that should be reopened. Someone in the UK, start the petition...!
  10. Several? No, it's only been like barely two years, hasn't it? This show could benefit from a major time jump. They used to have significant time go by; now a season can take a few days or a week. That's not helping Carl's growth, weirdo civilizations with wacky speech patterns, or Rick's "amazing" record of keeping people alive (some people anyway; others may die within minutes/days of meeting him LOL). The junk yard draaaaagggged. Gee, glad Michonne was there to point out the obvious to Rick. That fight really shouldn't have taken that long. Everything about those scenes was lame--except for Gabriel/Rick and the cat. Rick's getting cocky again. Ugh. 'Cause that worked so well end of last season... Thank god for Daryl/Carol (and Daryl/Shiva); otherwise, this episode would have been really painful. But Daryl, what the hell?! Bathe already!!
  11. Supposedly. Syd did talk Adam out of leaving before he stepped off the elevator, so I did wonder if he could really leave whenever he wanted or if they want him to think that. Good intentions or not, he may be too valuable to let off the leash. Agreed. Hopefully, this is all worth it. I want to like this show.
  12. I think it was the medallion episode (?) so Phil lost on that, but he did use Lily to give Gil lice so I consider that a win. LOL Yes, the chef was REALLY impressed with Haley's cooking, so as her next career maybe she'll be a celebrity-catering caterer. In five seasons from now when she's pushing 30 and still living at home...
  13. I guess Claire's the new Daphne of MF (writers going to the Frasier well again - only she was consistently known for bad cooking unless the plot needed otherwise). Seriously, she's cooked plenty (Thanksgiving dinners, sauce, kids' lunches, etc.) and never a comment from any of the picky/snarky family members. But at least we got Victor Garber out of it.
  14. Claire Kate (until she became a weird cat lady) Julia (for their spectacular breakup: "Get out!" LOL) Of course, I enjoyed most of Lilith's visits (I and Frasier could've done without her sleeping with Niles).
  15. It was weird Lily didn't get to say anything, especially with Sal around. Did she even get to do an eyeroll when Sal burst in? I may have been distracted due to Sal's kid looking so much older than I thought he should be at this point (seriously, weren't Cam, Mitchell, Pepper, and Rinaldo just fighting over the infant like two seasons ago?!). You go, Claire!
  16. I'd be happy with a 'Negan gets laryngitis' multi-episode arc...

Aside from it not being a strong episode (IMO) and the aunt was annoying (guest star aside), I didn't like that episode (BofG) because Martin distinctly said in an earlier episode that he didn't have any brothers and then voilá, continuity tossed under the bus. Of course, Daphne had said she never had a serious boyfriend and then as the series went on at least two other boyfriends proposed to her before Donny (one being Clive that we actually met). i know it's just a sitcom, but stuff like that bothers me. Yes, less Moons would've been nice.
  18. I liked the time they spent together (with Jack) in Combat, too. That's about all I liked from that episode...except for the grapes scene, of course, and Gwen getting sidelined from the main mission so there was a chance to focus on the others. Jack/Ianto/Tosh was fun (Combat)...Jack/Ianto/Owen was fun (Something Borrowed)...
  19. I didn't like so much in MD when she gloated about being the last one standing. She's lucky not special.
  20. Or maybe Marjorie simply told him to find her at the restaurant after her AA meeting (if that was the case) to return the storage locker key or that she was meeting her AA friends. Marjorie doesn't strike me as someone who would keep her AA membership a secret from her nephew (or anyone else for that matter). But yes, maybe Christy shouldn't have assumed he knew and that it was OK to say.
  21. Whatever it is, count me in! LOL He has his moments, but usually Cam is too needy, too manipulative, and/or too self-centered. Very unattractive qualities when turned up to 11 90% of the time.
  22. I remember a few survived in the new one. Anyway, I hope they do a better job of including multiple storylines and no more one episode = one community. They can do world expansion without using a whole episode.
  23. On Twitter Chris Pratt said he drew that lovely Christy-centaur. Hopefully he purposefully butchered his drawing as much as his singing. LOL
  24. Didn't some of the Magnificent Seven die, though? Probably in a blaze of glory....so, yeah, there's that to look forward to. And "Tara", the gang gathering around is not usually a good thing. Did they have a nice dinner afterwards?
  25. This show prides itself in going a bit dark sometimes. The tip-off was also how far along Joy was with the planning. A completely done nursery and her referring to the baby as a girl (isn't 50+ days too early to know?) - gave me the "this isn't going to end well" vibe. Plus, I couldn't really see the sitcom bringing in a baby for Joy. Of course, nanny probably would've been taking care of the kid all of the time... They barely use Roscoe, so are we going to see young foster kids for Joy now? Or maybe they'll go troubled teen route that might hang out with the group more. Don't really see Christy's older kid much either, so it'll be interesting to see what they do here now.
