  1. I know that we haven't seen much of Cirie . . . but can I hold out hope that the Reward Challenge would be her Hero Moment? Poor lady can't do water challenges, and it sucks to watch because she's a class act. If she wins, I wouldn't give her a tenth of shade that I reserved for Rob. Who flipped on Debbie? At least she has the potential to flip the hell out on Day 39. And she appreciates the art of the blindside. After all, she was the architect of the Ides Of March. I feel bad for Michaela. Would it have occurred to any other player to look for goodies while sitting out? And just when you think she can't look like a bigger chump, Sarah manages to get the advantage. At least Michaela seemed happy snacking on popcorn at Tribal.
  2. This week: Travis Rosen advances with a new Team TNT (Brett Sims and MaryBeth Wang.) They defeated The Wings in the relay, made up of ninjas (Thomas Stillings, David Yarter, Melanie Hunt) I can't remember watching on ANW. Mi-Dory-Ama is reincarnated as Mega Crushers, with Meagan Martin as captain and Ian Dory in a supporting role. They won the first match, but then got upset by Wings. Meagan did her part well, though, pulling up some impressive moves on the bungee steps. Also in the also-ran category: Team Tarzan, comprised of Ben Melick, Travis Weinand, and Rose Wetzel. I feel bad for Rose . . . she's supposed to be a top-flight Spartan racer, but she's not a great ninja. I do realize that she could whup my ass on this show. Any of these people could whup my ass on this course. Sammo Hog would have a 50/50 shot against me. Included: Matt & Akbar flipping out, scenes of the Wolf Pack working out, and a few seconds of Isaac. Next week: Jessie Graf!
  3. Given that nobody really went berserk at a grief-stricken (concentration camp survivor) Magneto giving himself to Apocalypse (a Pharaoh) in last year's movie, maybe Marvel figured that shaking reality into making him a Hydra agent wouldn't piss most readers off. I'll get the FCBD book and maybe the first issue with a blank cover, but I'm thinking that Agents Of SHIELD is doing a similar concept better.
  4. I was okay with the guy when he "guested" on @Midnight. I'm on the fence about the new show, though. I like the outreach to Alabama. It would be easy to play into stereotypes totally, but the gang is doing well so far.

I'm not going to Citi Field tomorrow. I need to make money, I got a comic show this weekend, and yesterday's rainout pushes the Braves' rotation back a day. That means R.A. Dickey will be on the mound, and not Bartolo.

Did not know Omar Epps can play white characters. Good to know. What? That's my go-to reference.
  7. Did not think that Framework Folk might come back to the "real world." We are never going to be rid of Ward, are we? "In this world, Victoria Hand didn't save me? Did I ever meet her?" "Weeeeeeeeeeeelllllllll . . . " Still thinking Hope's actress could make a lovely Lunella Lafayette. Nice that Daisy healed after metamorphosis, because she got worked over so hard last week. Nice that most of the gang is going back to their traditional places. Well, except for Fitz, who is still very much evil. On the bright side, at least Daisy messed up Ophelia, for all the good it did. How much time has passed in the "real world"? Hate to think the Quinjet has been in the air for so long.
  8. That was good. Aside from Smashley going nuts for a few minutes and Darrell going out, I was cool with this episode. Yeah, the "anniversary" was a bit much, but I am happy that CT could push through. Also nice Camila has fond memories of Diem. I'm still hoping she doesn't win, because psychos shouldn't keep lucking into the handsome reward. Hold your head high, Darrell. Yeah, you lost to CT that didn't involve direct confrontation, but who would've tried to make a huge knot? The only guy I can think of is Derrick, because he's so wee. Wouldn't have expected that from CT. Also a bit stunned that he can play life coach to Smashley for a few minutes.
  9. The future in brief: doom, doom, bionic hands, doom, doom, crappy wig, doom, and Huckster minutes away from a threesome. Yeah, that sounds about right. Okay episode, but I think we exhausted enough "Horrific Future" tropes. Where were the red skies? Actually, never mind that. Is there a way for Caitlin to have her mojo and her sanity? I mean the "Killer" can be omitted from "Killer Frost." Unless it turns out E2 Caitlin is possessing her, which never mind then. Sounds dumb, but with this show? It could happen.
  10. My guess? Two seconds after Bruce II walked through the door. "Ready for your Shepherd's Pie, Master Bruce?" "Wouldn't miss it!" "Of course. [making notes in the "What If Bruce Gets Replaced By His Doppelganger?" notebook]"
  11. Found this on Facebook: "Top 10 Shocking Amazing Race Moments" from MsMojo. I skipped through this because there were a lot of painful moments with unpleasant people. Before you ask: no, Colin and the Broken Ox didn't make it, which might make it void altogether. On the up side, the list-makers avoided the scene in TAR5 where Charla got a nasty zap from a fence.
  12. "We had to get Kara her job back. It was that or alter her narration in the opening. Our hand were tied." At least we had realistic journalism, albeit with deadly nanobots. I still side with Snapper in general, even though Grumpy Cat is his role model. New question: does he know Kara and Supergirl are the same? Nah . . . Cat can do that. Hoping that Rhea doesn't drag Lena to the dark side, even if she would be willing. At least we can see Teri Hatcher dress like a human again. I was spoiled by the credits . . . kept waiting for her to snap Snapper in two or something. Lyra . . . why? James . . . why?!? Seriously. "Winn, you're my brother . . . but turning the van into a bang bus?"
  13. Wow. It's like the series never got shelved. Gotham never gives a fuck, and that's why I like it. I mean, it's just a typical week. Ed goes off his gourd, haunted by spectral Oswald. Except Oswald is alive and in Ivy's care. Bruce gets beat up and drugged, and those two events are not related. Jim reunites with his uncle, who is a member of the Court of Owls. Which has Bruce trapped in their mountain hideout, which might be Vancouver. Oh, and Harvey has his dignity stripped from him layer by layer. Loved the Ed/Lucius showdown, where Harvey turned into an especially panicked Curly Howard. Poor bastard.
  14. Crap, I forgot about Patience. Who is she? Also, how much mind-altering substances do the producers ingest? Like, on an average workweek?
  15. Funny115: More Cochran "Fun," and an examination on the awesomeness of Sophie.
  16. The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros coming to MTV after IOTC for six weeks. One: Would this count as Season 30? I might have to start a CvP thread up just for that. Two: The "Champs" would get stomped, right? I mean, there will be an endgame format, but there's the "Pros" are more disciplined to get sucked into the drama and alcohol.
  17. Wow . . . 100th episode in two weeks. How will John mark the occasion? Sweet episode centered on Ivanka and Silent Jared, with an assist from Gilbert Gottfried. Il liked that I paused during the opening titles to see Bill O'Reilly pictured as "Non-Factor," and then John ends the show with 3-5 minutes of the guy's "best" work, including his hissy fit on Inside Edition (or whichever new program he was hosting). And unlike other places, we got it uncensored. Bless you, HBO! Best part of the talking heads montage . .. the random head smiling, knowing he/she looks sane by not trying to holler away.

Terry Collins is in his seventh year as manager of the Mets. Has his gig ever been in jeopardy? I'm aware that the team is basically a MASH unit, but I would think Sander Alderson may have (figuratively) stroked an axe a few times.
  19. I'm sure Ashi will get an upgrade. I know that there won't be action figures, but you gotta switch up the outfits sometimes. Are the first four seasons on DVD? I remember a few episodes that the flashbacks were based on. I'm pretty certain I never saw the rave episode, and maybe I should remedy that. Did Jack take "X" at any point?
  20. From Cheezburger: excerpts from a book on little kids and huge dogs. Over in Portland, Sissy Pugdashian is celebrating her twelfth birthday. Here's the Instagram . . . looks like they're having fun.

Weirdness: Mets will be hosting the Braves from Tuesday-Thursday. That's where they opened the season three weeks prior. Huh?!? Thursday is a getaway day game: Matt Harvey vs. Bartolo Colon. I probably won't go, but I'll think about it. With the Mets' luck. Bart would hit two grand slams.
  22. I think BMP's excuse would be, "Well, we did have a season without Johnny, and nobody reacted well. That might have been due to the three assholes from the bad San Diego season and the butch lady that took most of their abuse. But yeah, we needed Johnny. That's why we teamed him with Frank in the following season, even though they never met before."
  23. Last Week: Kurapika reveals himself as a Nen God, extracts a tiny bit of vengeance from the hide of Feral Franky. This Week: Gon and Killua learn about treasure appraisal! Kinda hating the tone whiplash. Nice that the boys made a new friend, but I want to see people get beaten up or worse. ETA: Oh, and Gon sells his Hunter's License. Great way to make money, but doesn't that negate the premise of the first part of the anime?!?
  24. Better sinister coach from a second episode: The Coach With The Dragon Tattoo, or Kevin Arnold's Dad As Pyrokinetic In Smallville? Damn, Ms. Quill cannot win at anything. She's a bitch, but I feel bad for her situation.
  25. What can top a Titan in the wall? Motherfucking talking fur-covered abnormal Titan! I mean, humanity is fucked as per usual, but talking Titan!!! Holy shit!!
