  1. I thought Laura just didn't know how to be a wife or mother. Wasn't there some mention that both her parents died when she was young? And I thought the photo album was made up of Laura's pictures of her parents. The one shown said "Me and Mother, The Cotswolds." It's all probably very symbolic, that a human woman doesn't know how to show emotion and the synth does.
  2. Not sure if you ever had a bad diagnosis, but I had three very serious cancer diagnoses (all different and all needed heavy duty chemo/radiation) within a four year span and I can tell you that I did not tell my closest family and friends until I had a treatment plan. What happens is that once you tell them, you find yourself in the weird position of feeling like you have to make those other people feel better, yet you're the one who is sick. Also, sometimes you don't want to be treated differently, and people do that all the time! "How are you?" becomes a loaded question. It sucks. Trust me. This show makes Mutiny seem like it's on the cutting edge of every single advance in the computer industry and it's getting silly. And Joe knows everything there is to know about the wave of the future. He should just get some money and invest it if he's so knowledgeable. I might be out after this season (if there even is another season, that is).
  3. I am loving this series as well. I read the book and really enjoyed it, but had a hard time imagining some of the more surreal scenes and keeping track of all the players. Watching it helps me make more sense of it. If I ever need help navigating the waters of Crazy Town, I'd love to have Segundus and Honeyfoot take care of me.
  4. Distractingly gorgeous. Oh, there's a plot?
  5. You could be right about Martha, although I was thinking that Andy decides to marry one of his dogs. And in case anyone missed it, Sue doesn't like to endanger any of the pilots' lives.
  6. Andy seemed lonely and depressed to me, even though he was trying to hide it.
  7. I need to have one of those puppies that hang around outside the Hailstones' house.
  8. Hearing mention of Tandy always makes me reminisce about my first computer. Maybe she'll make a cameo appearance on Halt and Catch Fire.
  9. Goodbye, Dan. If I miss you, I can always watch "Cheers" reruns. Your idiotic rambling with your know-it-all attitude reminds me of Cliff. Is that a rule in the postal worker handbook?
  10. Afften, I hope nobody ever has to rely on you for anything. Worthless. And show some humility, bitch, will take please? You were done in the first hour. I hope no one takes her seriously in real life.
  11. If Rayna has $1M to throw around, she'd be better off contracting with a hit man to get rid of Deacon's sister (and her bad wig). I can just see it now, calling the cops and the EMTs before the hit so that they'll be around to grab the liver and airlift it up to Nashville. I'm figuring a gunshot, so the liver could be intact and transplantable? At least Beverly wouldn't be alive and therefore wouldn't be able to blab about receiving money to sell her organs.
  12. Dear Writers: You've come to a dead end with Gunnar. The first step is to recognize it, admit it and move on. Yes, he and Scarlett are great when they sing together, but otherwise, I just can't anymore. And I thought, as in "was hoping," that this was Teddy's swan song. But let's please be done with the hooker, okay? Aside from the crap CGI's, whoever does the wigs on this show needs to be go back to Supercuts. Find someone who at least makes an attempt to fit and style them better. So distracting.
  13. When it appeared that Anne miscarried, was I the only one who thought "Call the Midwives?" And there was Jenny Lee, right on the scene.
  14. Steve deserved a medal for putting up with that woman. Oh, did you know she's quite the hunter? Regardless, Steve is a life coach and even though I don't put much stock in that (I know some life coaches and I'm like, really? You can't even coach your way out of ripping up your Life Coach U. internet diploma), he's got a ton of emotional intelligence and seems pretty highly evolved, which is always a good thing because god knows, there are enough assholes in this world....
  15. It occurred to me that I don't really care about any of the characters and will probably be done with this show at the end of the season. It's enough already. Now that Kalinda has moved on, maybe Robin will return. Remember her? The employee who just seemed to disappear into thin air and was never mentioned again?
  16. Just read that the lump was malignant but small and she underwent surgery on Monday. I assume it was the same cancer, an aggressive one, and that it is unusual for recurrence after having gone through a total mastectomy. The article is in the Daily Mail UK in case anyone is interested.
  17. I'm really hoping that at some point Paige starts referring to her parents as Boris and Natasha. Paige needs a friend to talk to.
  18. The fear of the Soviet Union was ongoing and certainly didn't start in the 70s or 80s. In the early 1960s, we had air raid drills; go under your desk, cover your head, duck away from the windows......all of which would have been useless if a nuke was dropped and it just basically scared the crap out of elementary school students. We all knew it was in relation to the Soviet Union and Cuba. I hope we see Elizabeth's mother. Been wracking my brain thinking about the actress who would be right for the part.
  19. Teddy is as stupid as a box of rocks. Both he and the hooker can get off my screen any time now.
  20. Wondered about Philip exposing his real self to Martha, and jumped to the conclusion that he'll probably kill her, make it look like a suicide and that would tie up the who-is-the-mole plot.
  21. Ugh, this show has gotten so heavy handed. After every episode this season, I've felt like I'd been hit over the head with a blunt instrument. I just wish they'd give the audience some credit for having a brain and being able to connect the dots without having it all spelled out for us. The first seasons were magical and delightful. Now it's like an "After School Very Special Episode," week in and week out.
  22. What with Danny's excessive drinking, I thought it was weird that they even allowed him to take guests out on the water in the boat. In an emergency, he'd be too drunk/hungover to act responsibly.
  23. Ever since Will got killed off, the show has gone on a downward trajectory. He really was the heart of this production, not Alicia. Frankly, I used to love her but I was happy that she got screwed out of the S.A. position.
