  1. I would read what she said on Twitter but she blocked me. I responded to Phil's tweet asking if we the viewers would have helped her by saying "It's a raaaaaace!" Apparently she didn't agree.
  2. As a Phillies fan, I enjoyed the appearance of "Ruben Amaro, Jr." as the big jock on campus. While RAJ might have been a great BallBall player, Adam and Barry can take solace in the fact that RAJ was only ever a mediocre baseball player and GM.
  3. Did anyone else have Double Dare recruit at their school? They came to my school in 6th grade. I specifically remember this because you had to be at least 12 to audition, and I was one month shy of my 12th birthday. The teachers had already selected the teams that were going to audition. But at my school there were 2 groups of multiple teams that got to audition. The first group auditioned for Double Dare. The group I got to watch auditioned for Finders Keepers. They didn't bring any of the obstacle course or slime like they did on the Goldbergs. They had to answer some trivia questions, and then the physical challenges were things like wheel barrow races or carrying cotton balls with a spoon. After the teams were chosen, we all got to go to the Channel 12 studio to watch the filming (where they filmed in Philly before they moved production to Orlando. ) It was such a fun experience! And for the poor souls that couldn't audition and were relegated to the audience, at the end of the show they threw the camera on us and we all got to act crazy so we could get on TV. It was a great experience!
  4. When Kim was eliminated, didn't Tom say something about the show's lawyers said she couldn't dance because of her medical issues? If so, why didn't these same lawyers step up when Tamar checked out of the hospital?
  5. I would have thought "the lawyers" that Tom refers to would have been all over this saying she couldn't dance if she left the hospital. Did she check herself out against the doctors' wishes?
  6. I'm not surprised that Tamar came back to dance...but I'm surprised that TPTB let her! I was afraid she was going to pass out in the middle of the dance, and then again while they were getting their scores. That Tamar is a tough cookie. I was waiting for Carlos to run up to Tom and volunteer as Tribute. Seriously, Carlos, those tears? Presumably you will see your wife again when you get in the car to go home! Good Lord!
  7. I was actually hoping the cheerleaders took a train to Germany to see how that played out. Has anyone actually travelled to the wrong country during the race?
  8. I'm American, and I thought, "These Americans are butchering the French language!"
  9. I thought the song had to be from that year, too! What this really ended up being was "Talk about a sad memory, then dance to any song you want."
  10. He was trying so hard to be funny. There were a lot of awkward laughs there.
  11. Trivia: Kelly Ripa was a regular on Dance Party USA. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORVZNB_o-cc
  12. I didn't understand either! I was hoping it was editing and they picked up pink candy but didn't really buy it. But then I saw the 2 bow-kays (as they like to say) of flowers. SMH Are gender reveal parties really a thing? I've never heard of it.
  13. Are there other 80s kids around here that remember wearing their socks like that? LOL
  14. I wanted to comment on the Benjermin thing...because I seriously was thinking, "Wow, maybe his name really is Ben-JER-min!" Like some strange fundie made up name.
  15. I might employ "It's not real, don't feel" with some of the drama queens I work with! I'm the same age as the real Adam and I will tell you that it was very easy to get tickets in the mid to late 80s for Phillies games. This is when my dad started to take my brother and me to games and we would walk up the day of the game and buy tickets...the Phillies were so bad! It's not surprising to me that Murray was able to get another ticket right away. @shoregirl - I busted out laughing when Adam said he thought the 700 level would be cleaner! I also loved the Phanatic's cameo. How can you not like the Phanatic?
  16. This was the first episode I watched, and I felt like I was watching a SNL skit. I think they included every stereotypical crime show character, plus stereotypical hackers! And the writing? "we did a good job in Boston." Really? That's all you have to say about what just happened? Terrible.
  17. If you follow Phil on Twitter -- Did anyone else notice that he spoiled the NEL about half way through the episode? Someone asked if the producers decided on the bunching after arriving in Thailand at the last minute to allow for the last team to catch up. And Phil answered no, because non elimination legs are decided in advance. Blair and Hayley -- my immediate reaction was that it is usually the nurses that point out a doctor's "mistakes" for lack of a better word. At least with the nurses I know, they seem to be very thorough. So I wasn't surprised that Blair dismissed Hayley AGAIN. I really hope he starts listening to her but I don't think it will happen.
  18. And Rochelle is a Roller Derby girl. I would think that she's had worse spills in Roller Derby and not asked for a medic.
  19. OMG what is with that shade of lipstick? I thought it was just Whitney but are they passing it around? It's horrible!
  20. I also got my PA license in the 90s and it was a Cinderella license (can't drive after midnight) until you turned 18.
  21. Things were "totally awesome" in the 80s! Things also sucked. I know that word was around because I got in trouble for saying it in front of my mom. I feel like this show is always spot on with the 80s references. As a Philadelphian, I really enjoyed the passion with which Barry said, "DALLAS SUCKS!" It was perfect.
  22. I actually thought it was dirt! I guess Kelsey was right -- Ashley does wear too much makeup!
