  1. At first I thought I was watching a Dancing with the Stars reunion!
  2. My first clue that Kourtnei wouldn't make it was when she was complaining about the show giving her an Android phone when she preferred an iPhone. What was her motivation for even being on the show? Did she think she was just going to walk in and be Miss Popular? She didn't appear to make any effort to get to know the other students. I wanted to yell to her, TALK TO SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! Don't expect them to come to you!
  3. I wonder if they debriefed the real students after the semester. As I was watching I worried about what Danii would do once she either watched this show or when she found out that Shane was not who he said he was. I really felt bad for her. I know Shane was trying to take her under his wing but...I don't know. So yeah, I wonder what the real students thought when they found out they were "spied" on.
  4. I'm glad she's trying something new but...her singing still needs work.
  5. Oh man, I had the same thought about her eyebrows. It was distracting. Re: the rest of the Mary Yoder episode. I thought this episode was well done. It really kept me guessing. In the end I thought that Katie did it...the fact that she lead the investigators to the poison in Adam's car and only her DNA was on it was what really made me think it was her. I don't think that if the Dad were trying to frame Katie that he would involve the son - planting the poison in Adam's car seemed to me to be too much of a risk if Dad was trying to frame Katie.
  6. I have to agree with you...I've kind of hit my limit, too. They do seem like a nice family, but all I could do was be snarky. -Drink every time they say "And now we have 5 babies!" -The stress of having matching outfits for a Pinterest photo shoot. Why were they shopping at a boutique like store and expecting there to be 4 outfits of the same size? And then stressing when there weren't? If you're on a budget, head to Target or Walmart. - The Busbys already did the surprise backyard play set. I guess TLC has run out of story ideas. Again, they seem like a nice family, but the story lines are the same as the other shows. I don't think I'll continue to watch.
  7. My guess is so that baseball players can participate before the baseball season starts.
  8. I would rather see her go back to being a dancer on the show. She offers nothing as a judge IMO. Last night for example, she used her go-to critique - "You took that [fill in the blank] and made it even more amazing!"
  9. I kind of felt bad for Brandon, too. The judges had been telling him how awesome he was all season. I felt like they rarely gave him criticisms so of course he felt like he had it in the bag. I also loved Ayana's wedding dress. That was really something that made me say wow. It was unexpected, too. I was shocked that Kentaro won. I really did not see that coming - the editors totally fooled me, with Kentaro saying, "Oh I really don't think I won this," and the lack of "cohesion" that the judges said the pieces from the preview had.
  10. I guess it depends on how bad? My uncle has horrible vision and they didn't even let him in to the armed forces. Do we know for sure the brother was in combat?
  11. That talking head really disturbed me. He was such a jackass, and his wife just laughed it off. I couldn't get through the whole episode because it just made me so angry.
  12. Alright, I thought the thing at the end with the ashes was funny. It really made me laugh because here's Matt having a poignant moment and bam! it backfires. I also loved the bit where Sean realizes what the show should be. "And you're the father!" Matt's reaction was great, especially when Sean told him it was the better part. I just love me some Matt LeBlanc. I have, on occasion sat through dreck like Man with a Plan.
  13. And they would have gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!
  14. The coat dress reminds me of something Rachel would have worn in the first 2 seasons of Friends. I totally got a 90s vibe from it. As as for the winning shirt dress, I thought how it gathered near the waist looked weird. It looks weird on the JCP reproduction, too. Amy's suit- the lapels looked uneven to me.
  15. I can't believe Brandon won. The sleeves? The whole thing reminded me of the shirt Denise makes Theo on the Cosby show. I didn't like it at all. Aaron's...oh my. I thought it looked like streamers. With my very limited sewing ability, I tend to judge by "I can sew that." That's what I thought about Aaron's...I could sew that, and that's not good. I wasnt that that impressed with Kenya's but it was constructed very well. i didn't think Claire's was that bad. It wasn't interesting, but it wasn't awful i really liked Michael's and thought he should have won.
  16. It really bugged me that the girls were dressed as "Like a Virgin" Madonna. I was 14 in 1990 and I remember thinking that "version" of Madonna was dated! And re: The Princess Bride: I knew nothing of it when it was in the theaters. The first time I saw it was at school in 7th grade (1989). Not that long after that I saw it on cable - I asked my dad to tape it, and he was not thrilled to have to watch a "princess" movie. Until he actually watched it and loved it too. But I don't remember it being that popular by 1990. I can't say that any of my younger neighbors or cousins had a Princess Bride party.
  17. My nitpick for this episode is that PA does not have front license plates.
  18. Yes, Jill really took charge there. Meanwhile Michelle was in the background repeating everything Jill said in a sing-songy voice. I thought they responded better to Jill than their own mother.
  19. I blame Pinterest. LOL. But seriously are all the Dugger children going to do this when they have a child? If the 19 kids all have 19 kids...well that will just be boring after awhile. I thought it was strange that Joy did not know what Austin's favorite dessert is. In this same episode she's telling us she is waiting for him to pop the question. But she doesn't seem to know the basics about him. Also I had to laugh when Austin was doing his talking head about asking his father what he wanted from him. He said his dad prayed about it for a month and told Austin he wanted him to flip 5 houses. Really? Your dad prayed to God and God came back with, "Austin should go forth and do my work of flipping houses." Jesus was a carpenter, after all.
  20. I have to admit that I found Jinger and Jeremy testing their Spanish to be more interesting than Jill's "ginder" reveal. How many "ginder" reveals are we going to have to see anyway? Joy went to her future in-laws and they made her cook? Nice. Oh, and Free Jana!
  21. I loved how Jinger, the pants wearing heathen, told us she doesn't like anything to do with the birthing process and was basically the snack mom at Spurgie's birth. There is hope for her. The only reason i son I watched this last night was because I was visiting my mom. I made the comment about how I felt bad for Jana. My mom's thoughts were that Jana is the prettiest of the older girls and it's a shame. But then she said maybe Jana's the smart one by not becoming a baby making machine.
  22. Joy and Austin didn't tile the bathroom? floor? correctly on a house they are going to flip and weren't really too concerned. I would not want to buy a house they flipped.
  23. I agree that this episode was sugar coated with many details left out. I am sorry for the mom but in many ways she aggravated me. They moved to Texas and suddenly found out the school Kayla would attend didn't have gymnastics...why didn't mom check all this out before the move? It seemed like they weren't in Texas that long before they moved back. They move back and don't have a place of their own, and then Kayla is out all night and that's acceptable? Mom just told her don't go to Wausau again? Mom seemed like didn't have enough time to parent because she had her own shit to deal with.
  24. Martin reminds me of one of my cats. He's a year old and he's grown into a big tomcat. The problem is I don't think he realizes how big he is now and he's not as agile as he was as a kitten. This episode just made me chuckle because I could imagine my boy cat saying to me, "Look, I'm not perfect, but love me anyway."
  25. Had to laugh at this. I kept thinking, "Wow, that 'kid' has A LOT of tattoos." I've never seen a high school student with tattoos, period. It really bugged me throughout the show.
