  1. I happened across "Daniel Boone" recently. It definitely does not hold up -- from Daniel's "tame Indian" friend Mingo to all the other "savage Indians" to the completely helpless women. Mingo is a magical Indian, too. He has all these mad skillz that the white folks don't have, like being able to fire flintlock rifles that are in a rifle stand with a whip. That was terrifying, though -- every rifle he hit with the whip fired and fell over, or fell over and fired, and people were standing very close to all of them. Amazing that no one was hurt.
  2. I'm a B-cup, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if I were smaller so I wouldn't have to wear a bra. I've peeved about my issues finding a bra I like before -- still a peeve.
  3. Not terribly egg-like, but it's a gorgeous piece of wood.
  4. Agreed. Plus I think your own state of mind can affect how you interpret someone else's written words.
  5. Eh, you're never too old for YA books, in my opinion. I like quite a lot of them, too.
  6. She said she rescued a one-eyed cat, and called him Simba, but spelled S-M-B-A, because he's missing an eye. Ken asked if he watches Jeopardy, and she said, "Only half, and mainly the left half."
  7. I can't believe I missed FJ tonight! So, so obvious, and should have been so, so easy. I have no excuse. The only TS I got were bunker and siege tower. I cracked up at middle woman's story about her one-eyed cat called Smba, who watches the left half of Jeopardy.
  8. I'll text OK, okay, or the thumbs up emoji to acknowledge that I received the text, especially if the text is an answer to a question I've asked.
  9. That was excellent casting. I also thought they were related in real life.
  10. I was so glad they made it so Alicia could actually sing! I worried the whole time that she couldn’t, and then everyone would really have to work to dissuade her. Hetty’s, “There’s a chessboard in the library” bit had me rolling, along with all of Thor’s words tormenting Pete. “Come on! I’ve heard you say leather!”
  11. I have an irrational love for that movie -- mostly, I think, because of the awesome 80s pop music. Although Billy Idol's expression when the woman says, "What's the mile-high club?" is priceless.
  12. I got FJ tonight. Hydrotherapy plus pump gave me the instaguess. And the asterisk! Woo hoo! I also got the TS of Blithe Spirit, Tortola, and hymnal. Same same.
  13. I had no idea for FJ tonight. The year didn't help, and all I could think about was Batman and Gotham City, so of course that didn't help either. Oh well! And the only TS I got was The Count of Monte Cristo. Not my best night.
  14. I don't live in NY, but I have visited now and again, and I got FJ. I also got the missed clues of respiration, Barrow, and Vera Cruz. I, too, misread the clue about the cinema and thought I had a TS. Ooops!
  15. Same here. Train the dog. Spend time with the dog when you're home -- we know you're not gone all day every single day. The big dog will totally teach the small one how to wreak havoc.

    Disney Films

It is well-known that I am Pixar's bitch, so of course I'll see this one. Opening weekend if possible.
  17. For FJ tonight, I thought, "Hm. Egyptian god. Nope. Smelly compound -- sulfur? Not a compound. Methane? Maybe...No! I have it!" All in under 30 seconds and with time to write down the correct response. I have worked with poultry. That's all you smell when you're with a flock. The only TS I got were fender and Eiffel.
  18. My latest pet peeve is when DQ only blizzard-ifies the top half of my Blizzard. I got one today, and the bottom half was just sad vanilla ice cream.
  19. "Up the voltage." For an actual unpopular opinion, I thought Boyhood was overrated with just a boring gimmick of waiting years for the actors to age.
