  1. Oooh, I don't like the "mandatory vote" for the u-turn. One reason I like TAR is that there's no voting!
  2. I don't watch Survivor -- I wish this started at 8!
  3. I rarely remember them all until the field is narrowed a lot.
  4. Sorry! I was just trying to be helpful! Did not mean to offend!
  5. I would have been just as happy to lose Emily for the final, but I guess it's nice of them to let her play.
  6. Incidentally, there is a Celebrity Jeopardy forum: https://forums.primetimer.com/forum/5012-celebrity-jeopardy/
  7. I still have to root for Utkarsh -- partly because I know who he is (never heard of the other two), and partly because of his charity. I am not a fan of his sweater, however. It might be less bad if it weren't over that green shirt. I'm not impressed with Emily. At all. I will be fine with a Mark win. I kind of like that they are highlighting the category when a contestant chooses, but I'm not sold on the sidebar situation.
  8. I got as far as "gold" in FJ, but couldn't connect "vellus" with anything in time. But I did get a lot of TS, including Brad Pitt, Queen Mother, Ebenezer Baptist, Colin Clive (by process of elimination), chestnut, Green Party, Kalahari, Wadi (thank you crossword puzzles!), Reform, and fifth.
  9. I've watched all the seasons. I know I have. Yet I have no specific recollection of a lot of those winners.
  10. Mine was the same -- I barely felt it! The flu shot, though, was quite painful initially.
  11. Even worse when they write "que" for "queue."
  12. My husband totally does that. Last night he was freaking out because our power bill was the same as last month, to the penny. TO THE PENNY!!! I had to go in another room so he wouldn't see me cracking up. I'm on the budget plan with my electric company, so my goal is to have next year's monthly payment be equal to or less than last year's.
  13. I'm now 48 hours post COVID vaccine, and I'm fully back to normal. I mostly was this morning, really, but I slept like a stone last night. My arm is still a little sore, but nothing like yesterday. I ended up going home from work a little early yesterday afternoon, and I have a light sweater for the office today, which has helped. The temperature is still around 71 degrees (and it's only 65 outside!). My flu shot arm is fine.
  14. Another instaget FJ for me tonight, and I'm disappointed in Ollie for missing it. Not that I mind Michalle, mind you, but David was annoying. TS I got include Mammoth Caves, Wells Fargo, punji stick, javelin, and Molokai.
  15. I am from the south, and I use "bless your heart" all the time. With multiple meanings. I have a bad habit of picking up words and phrases rather than accents, particularly British English words and phrases. I sometimes like them better than their American English equivalents. Peeve of the day? It's been overcast for four days! I need some sunshine!
  16. Dammit, it's not playing at a theater near me! I'd love to see it again.
  17. Instaget FJ for me tonight, even though it will always and forever piss me off that Rosalind Franklin didn't get the credit she deserved at the time. I also got the TS of Louisiana, Justin Bieber (on a guess), Doobie Brothers, Elton John, and back 40.
  18. I was able to get both my flu and COVID vax this afternoon -- one in each arm. In retrospect, that might not have been the smartest plan, as I am a side sleeper! Anyway, so far so good. I'm a little tired, but I think it's my usual evening tired and not vaccine-related at all. We'll see tomorrow! ETA: It's Tuesday and I'm so very tired. In waves. I'll have a burst of energy for a half an hour or so, then I'll have to sit down and rest. Also my COVID shoulder really hurts -- almost as bad as a tetanus shot. And I'm shivering, but that could be because it's only 70 degrees in my office (I can't adjust the temp myself!), and I am wearing a short-sleeved shirt. Those are all really minor things, though, and otherwise, I feel fine. Pretty standard vaccine side effects, really.
  19. Jiffy cornbread mix is waaaaaay too sweet for me.
  20. Oh, good. That will give me something to do for at least 2/3 of the time Survivor is making me wait for The Amazing Race.
