A shocking 4/5 this week for me.

OMG! I had absolutely no idea for FJ tonight, so on a whim, I just said, "What the hell. Aaron Burr, sir." I was gobsmacked to be correct! Instagets and wild-ass guesses got me four correct FJs this week. The only TS I got were calcium oxide, glucose, and keel. However, I take exception to one of the cattle questions -- those in that picture were Highland Cattle (aka Heilan' coos), not Angus.

I'm the youngest, but I didn't really get hand-me-downs beyond baby clothes, which were passed around among my mother's siblings for years. My sister is quite a bit older and larger than I am, so her things would never have fit me. Fortunately, our house had enough bedrooms that we didn't have to share. I did get the hand-me-down bicycle from my sister, and then it got passed along to one of my cousins when I outgrew it.

My mother was the same. She'd take us clothes shopping and always ask, "Do you see anything you can't live without?" So we got what we absolutely needed, but not a whole lot extra. Obviously I could live without that random thing -- I'd managed to do so so far!

I did exactly the same thing, except for checking the archive! I wasn't even sure there was a New World Symphony! It just sounded reasonable. I completely shocked myself. The only TS I got were deciduous, Yalta, and Drake.

I have an iron. It's blue. I got it as a gift when I first went to college in 1982. No idea why anyone would give a college student an iron. I could probably find it if I had to, but I couldn't tell you the last time I used it.

My CVS had vaccination appointments every 15 minutes, and they were cycling us through right on schedule. It was a sight to behold. No idea about the local Walgreens -- they did not have available vaccines.

That was surprising. Maybe the guys were just in shock from Emily's terrible "aloha" answer and couldn't recover in time to ring in.

As predicted, those two won't drive us crazy for long!

Unless they're like that idiot "super fan" who got eliminated with the express pass in his pocket.

They didn't use it, and it took some time to eat all those horrible things.

I'd love to spend time there! Not to mention that there are a limited number of spots at the spa. But at least the indecisive siblings went fo the swords as well. Uh oh. Switching is not necessarily a good thing.

Congrats to Jocelyn and Victor! I'm jealous of that trip they won, too.

There's still the whole second plane load, so the Philly girls still have a chance!
