  1. I did not get FJ today. My brain went to authors when I saw the category and wouldn't leave. However, I did get the TS of harem (thank you, crossword puzzles), Mary Pickford, Powell, Madness, Grateful Dead, and The B52s. That was insane -- and unusual for Ken to do that. I was briefly confused, too, since I shouted out Florence when I read the clue. Well, I shouted out Firenze, which I would hope would have been accepted.
  2. Definitely a Peregrine Falcon. Definitely NOT a Cooper's Hawk. I knew the answer from the clue, but if I'd been on the show, looking at the photo, I wouldn't have rung in, either. I wouldn't have known which bird was the correct response!
  3. Reading. And if I didn't have electricity, I'd use my headlamp and still read.
  4. 4/5 with the asterisk this week.
  5. Instaget FJ for me as well. I also got the TS of phase/faze, ticklish, cruel summer, California Scrub Jay, and Philadelphia Vireo. Incidentally, the bird they showed for the Cooper's Hawk was not a Cooper's Hawk. It looked more like a Peregrine Falcon to me.
  6. That just started at a small theater here. I'm looking forward to it!
  7. Thanks, y'all, for the recap and for the info about how to watch online!
  8. Dammit! We're under a tornado watch, and the local news/weather cut in while Saul was talking to Alberta about how he could keep jerking off and attaching to new livings forever. I missed about the last ten minutes! The stripper with his dinosaur facts cracked me up.
  9. Heh. "My brother William? He's a Democrat. Voted for Mondale." "I'm so sorry."
  10. I got FJ, but it was a last-second, WAG. I did have just enough time to write it down. I also got the TS of 1614, thank you, antemeridian, and Los Alamos. Lee had some very interesting guesses. And by interesting, I mean so very wrong.
  11. I couldn't remember the exact details, just that they went horribly awry, driving in the Andes.
  12. Thank you! And it was the third leg, not the first, as I (incorrectly) said above.
  13. Heroes would have been the perfect show if they'd stopped at the end of the first season. Or maybe if they had continued without bringing Sylar back.
  14. If the ship is small and nimble, they can. The giant floating cities, probably not.
  15. As lost as Rod and Leticia were, how did they make up the time? Looks like Sunny and Bizzy will make up time, too.
  16. Vinnie looks overjoyed to be told he's team #3.
  17. Oh, man, they are so lost. Reminds me of that other team -- I don't remember which season it was -- they were the first out because they drove pretty much to Argentina instead of toward the ocean.
  18. Sunny and Bizzy are just now getting to the T-bird? Wow.
  19. It's Bert the Chimney Sweep from Mary Poppins!
