Because the football game ran over, my DVR didn't get the last couple of minutes -- anything interesting after the final commercial break (after James Brolin watched the yoga class)? Boudoir was my favorite this week, with Hospital a close second.

I was glad the balloon man didn't make Tiffany (or Krista -- whichever one it was) go back and refill a new net. Between that and them being harassed while delivering the groom, India did not shine in this episode. Phil's shirt was a much better choice tonight than last week, though.

I missed last night -- what was FJ?

It is definitely not a Southern accent. I'm from the South, and have lived in and traveled to a wide variety of Southern places. I've never heard that affectation as part of a Southern accent. Never would have guessed Henry VIII, either, but Tennessee Williams as a TS made me sad. Also thinking Margaret Mitchell was from Mississippi.

I didn't have much immediate reaction to Prim's death -- partly, I think because I was expecting it -- but when Katniss was yelling at Buttercup and lost it, so did I. Jennifer killed that scene. Donald Sutherland was perfectly cast as Snow. His small smile after Katniss killed Coin was priceless.

Dammit. That was a brutal speed bump. I wonder how far behind Texas was in the end.

That red shirt is not a good look for Phil.

I nearly fell off my couch laughing when the turkey (a gorgeous Royal Palm!) came out at the end, and Martin Mull's character said, "Well, that explains the smell."

Why couldn't Abbie have just thrown the shard through the tree? Why did she have to take it? She has to come back, right?
-
Johnny's socks really made the outfit, though. He looked like he was having a blast, too.

Alex J, the correct response when Alex T asks you if your wife would be good at Jeopardy! is "Why yes, she'd be great!" NOT, "Well, maybe, if she worked at it."

I got darning needle because of the dragonfly part of the clue. For FJ, I managed to get to Zambia, but couldn't come up with Gambia for anything.
-
I wondered about the sword, too, and even if she can't get into Evernow, a sword could really come in handy.

So, the future is Tatooine and Mos Eisley? Katana Girl better be on the lookout for Jawas and Sand People!

Texas got damned lucky with the non-elim. It's a RACE -- not a display of who can be most gentlemanly and let the girly-wirlys go first. I know I kind of defended Justin way back at the beginning, but I really want him to lose now. It doesn't even matter to whom, just so that he doesn't win. Jordan and Chris can go anytime, too.

I loved the cake! And completely blanked on FJ.

Leonard's mother. Doesn't he treat her with respect? -
Another winner of an episode! I thought the Cheeto segment was the best, especially the bits when Cheeto was in the refrigerator.

Definitely not the only one, CarpeDiem, who finds Matt insufferable.

Not only is the dialogue witty and real, the timing and delivery are spot-on. "The backyard is fenced." I'm glad I DVR'ed last night's so I can watch it again. It was nearly perfect.

I hate Steinbeck and have barely read any (what I have read I detested), so I missed FJ. Didn't even know the man had a poodle. In hindsight (20/20!) I should have known, simply because Steinbeck shows up so frequently in Jeopardy! I do like that they all played for wildcard spots if they couldn't get a win.

Justin really needs to thank Diana for her decision not to take the cab. I wonder how much extra cash they won because of all those extra steps that she made them take?
-
Thanks, mansonlamps! I'm going to have to reset my DVR to get those last little bits of this show. I can probably miss a few seconds of Sleepy Hollow.
-
That was a great episode! Well, except for Justin and Diana winning, that is. Lots of shuffling of position, a needle in a haystack challenge, and another challenge that was challenging regardless of which side they chose. I'd probably still be there trying to Double Dutch! But I was really really rooting for either the Cheerleaders or News Anchors to win, and until they're gone, I want the Paps out next.

Another FJ where I immediately thought of the right answer, then spent the next 29 seconds second-guessing myself because I thought that was too obvious.
