I never get tired of that commercial.

I am simultaneously annoyed and bored. They are so slow to pick, and the chatter is grating. But I do feel pretty smart by comparison.

Back to my printer peeve -- I got the paper jam fixed, but now I'm out of ink! And another really petty peeve -- using just the word "passed" when someone dies. Passed away is fine, passed on is okay, too, but just "passed" makes me wonder what they passed. Did they pass Go and collect $200? Did they pass gas? A kidney stone? An exam?

And yet, here we are -- there was an article in my local newspaper today about a church that was, until recently, part of the Southern Baptist Convention. They are no longer part of that because of their "open affirmation, approval and endorsement of homosexual behavior." The Southern Baptist Convention's Executive Committee voted to remove this church from its rolls. As one of the parishioners said, "The irony is, they're excluding us for not excluding people." No, not all churches are as small-minded as the one in Young Sheldon, but they're out there. Sheldon's outburst was perfectly in line with his character. This is not the first time he's questioned or called out Pastor Jeff during a sermon.

Ah, now it makes sense! 🙂

I am so glad they now put the FJ category on screen. I was initially so confused how I was supposed to figure that out until I saw the category! Once I knew I was looking for an author, that helped tremendously, and I got it! The only TS I got were pinwheels and Oscar Isaac.

I was just as stumped as the contestants for FJ. The only TS I got were Minnehaha, Wayne, and galleon, although I also thought Ken said galley.

This was a fun leg! What is rule #1 of TAR? READ THE CLUE! Then you won't be searching Munich for something that is in a whole other country. Good on them for making up all that time, though. The dancing reminded me of European Vacation, costumes and all. Less slapping and punching, though. It would be hard to get the tempo of the bells down if you're practicing in a quiet space without the accompanying accordion. I'm not yet attached enough to any of the teams to be sad when one gets eliminated. T-Rex really were good sports about it all.

Once upon a time, many years ago, I worked at a Vet School. While Avian Medicine and Exotics were not required courses, a lot of people took them, and there are local vets who do see all those types of animals. Sure, most concentrate on either cats & dogs or farm animals, but there are enough who take all the electives and can take care of all the animals. I thought Jackie played Roxanne? Y'know, as the understudy after her "tureen of beef"? Or did she also play Juliet and I've forgotten?

I knew that river was in South America, but it took me a few seconds to get to the right countries. Hand me an asterisk, please, for the correct FJ response! I also got the TS of Slash, Railsplitter, harp, cube, fluke, Mae West, metamorphosis, and Navarone.

My printer keeps jamming and I can't figure out where! The first page that jammed tore, and I think there are bits of it somewhere in the innards of my printer -- all subsequent pages have just bunched up. But I can't find the bits or get them out! Grrrr!

You will note that I did not say he's gotten better -- just less bad. 🙂 He's still bad, just maybe not quite as bad as he was in the beginning.

Instaget FJ for me tonight. Unfortunately, I got distracted by something shiny during the game, so the only TS I wrote down were teacher, detective, NCC-1701, H8, and three rings. If there were others, I either didn't get them, or wasn't paying attention. I'll try to pay better attention tomorrow!

Yeah, basically I'm lazy. 😉

I love that movie. I haven't seen it since it first came out, but it has stuck with me over the decades.
