IIRC (from reading past posts in this forum), there are no Lances in the current version of GA comics. So removing both Lances from the show (through death and/or moving away) would still be consistent with "comic canon." However, I still doubt that they would kill off the BC. Killing Quentin would have the least effect on the ratings. Killing Felicity or Diggle would seriously affect the ratings. Killing Thea or Laurel would also affect the ratings - to what extent, I don't know, but they (or their comic counterparts) also have their fanbases. All my opinion, of course.

You could consider the perfect relationship to be one of synergy - where putting two elements together produces a combined effect that is greater than the sum of their separate effects. Or, to quote Aristotle: “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” (2 + 2 = 5) The opposite of synergy is antagonism - where putting elements together inhibits or makes at least one of the elements less effective.

I stopped watching OUAT except for occasional peeks. Right now, they're destroying the legend of Camelot, King Arthur and Excalibur. And Henry's teen drama is seriously cringe-inducing.

I guess AMC can only have one Asian male hero on its network at a time. In November they're debuting Into the Badlands starring Daniel Wu. I want both Glenn and Rick to escape by camouflaging themselves with dead body parts - as a callback to season 1 when they smeared guts all over themselves to walk through walkers from the store to the parking lot in Atlanta. I think TPTB are testing the waters to see if they can kill off an original (and liked) cast member and not affect the ratings too much. If there is little or no effect on the ratings, then I think they would consider killing off all or almost all of the originals and going with a completely different cast next season. But if FTWD has taught me anything, it's that the cast is not interchangeable. If you manage to hit the jackpot with great cast members, don't kill them off!
