  1. Oh I agree. There should've been more than just Riley's comment to Maya that their guy friends are pretty wonderful (IDK the exact quote), or she should've at least said it to them. But I guess in Disney speak, her and Farkle's (still wanna just call him Minkus) "partners" thing was probably it.
  2. Maybe, but I think Stiles is guilty. It's why he broke up with/is actively avoiding Malia. It's also why he's lashing out at everyone. I could see his guilt being more along the lines of "I didn't trust Theo, but I still helped him further whatever agenda he had" kind of thing. I'd have to disagree on the whole Scott is never wrong thing; one big mistake Scott made this season was trusting Theo. In trusting Theo, he literally lost everything even his faith in himself/his abilities. He is still actually paying for that currently. I could also say him being so gungho in saving Stiles (and Lydia) in season 3 and going in half cocked resulted in Allison's death. Him lying to Allison about what her mother had done to him in season 2 made it easier for Gerard to manipulate her into opposing Scott and all werewolves in general. And so on and so on. So I'd have to disagree with him never having to pay for his mistakes. He does...The difference between him and Stiles is the way they deal with the aftermath. Scott cries, his mom gives him a pep talk, and then he gets back up and tries again. Stiles angsts over it and holds his feelings close to the vest while becoming more and more withdrawn.
  3. This episode solidified for me that I could watch a show dedicated to Amberlee and Eretria and their growing friendship, tbh. Will can just show up every now and again.
  4. You could argue that it looked like trust to an outsider. All Scott knew was that Stiles kept a secret from him that Theo was in. Add onto that, Scott could tell something was going on with his friend (I remember both he and Malia having asked Stiles if everything was okay with him at one point). So I could see how Scott would see that as Stiles trusting Theo (maybe over how much Stiles trusted Scott). Gotta remember that these are teenagers....and teenagers have a very all or nothing way of looking at things sometimes. Especially when it comes to secrets and trust. And Yay!!! Congrats....it took me a while too, so I understand.
  5. Nah, Stiles more or less trusted Theo when he agreed to keep his secret (Theo killing the one Chimera kid when he was "saving" Stiles back in 5a) in exchange for Theo keeping his (that he was more or less responsible for Donavan's death.). So not so much revisionist as just semantics. He trusted Theo enough to keep his secret even if he didn't really trust his motives completely. Which is more or less why I had no problem with Stiles backing down. He didn't trust his relationship with Scott enough to let him in, and he was guilty enough to not explain himself when Scott came at him looking for answers. /shrugs The theme of last season seems to be unnecessary miscommunication. Didn't really care for the episode. The time-line was way too jumbled, the random flashbacks were random and bordered on melodramatic. And all the slow-mo tied in with the epic of epic sounding music is starting to wear on me.
  6. I guess the episode didn't bother me as much as it did everyone else? I thought the turn around in the end wasn't that the boys were a problem, but the girls themselves were. They were fine with being relegated to dropping the marble and put up little to no fight to do the actual sciency part of the lesson. And when they tried to paint the boys as misogynists, they all fired back at them. Lucas telling Maya that he was willing to do the work because he knew that she was to lazy to (and she showed and said as much in the beginning of the episode) and Farkle telling Riley that science was his thing....He is smarter in science than she is. And I liked that he brought up Susan B. Anthony....and Riley even seemed to be a little cowed by his rebuttal to her calling him sexist. This episode was more aimed at the girls this episode, and the takeaway was to try. You can't afford to be lazy The B-story was on point. Participation trophies/ribbons p*ss me off way more than they should. And I say this as someone that has/does coach.
  7. Her Original body was hidden (presumably by magic) so they killed her witch body so she'd be forced to return to her actually body, therefore making it easier to find her. ---Or at least I think that's what they said
  8. That was my only real problem with the episode (that, and how Cami dealt with Lucien. If you're literally the only person that can give a person what they want... It's very hard for them to threaten you with anything. Like..."I'll kill {insert random} if you don't give me what I want!" Other person replies "If you kill {insert random} then I'm not giving you sh*t." ). What was the point in keeping them alive? There was none! None! Except for plot! I also would like to know the Klaus/Hayley custody arrangements. It doesn't seem like Klaus doesn't get to see his daughter...like I couldn't see Freya not bringing Hope to the manor while she's bbsitting if Klaus asks her to. And....why are they leaving Hope with Jackson (and only Jackson) if they know the Mikaelsons are being attacked? I feel like any person worth their salt would just attempt to get at Hope to get to all of them. They need Hayley and co out of the way so that they can get to Davina? Kidnap Hope! They need to get all the Mikaelson's in one place: Kidnap Hope!
  9. Riley and Maya just admitted that they were confused and scared about what was happening...then did their ring power thingy.
  10. His niece is Silver St. Cloud, another character from the comics. I'd say she won't end up being shady because of her comic book counterpart....but then I remember Barbara... OT: All the talk about these kids being put in adult situations talk is kinda squicking me out...
  11. I thought that was supposed to be one of those random, off the cuff, racist moments that do often happen in real life. They tried to offer Kevin and Nora a white baby instead of them "settling" for the black baby they already had. It could've also been a test. Like the social worker was trying to make sure the two of them weren't just clinging to the baby for the sake of it and actually wanted her. I kind of side-eyed that moment too Jill still remains my favorite Garvey. I love how you can see her experience last season (figuring out that her one remaining family member wasn't going to pack up one day and leave her alone, even though he's crazy out of his mind) had changed who she is, but she can still be as blunt and antisocial as always. Like when she point blank told Kevin not to fuck up the situation they have going with Nora and Lily. And then when Evie's friends yelled out to the Garvey's on their way back home, she, unlike the two adults, didn't bother stopping to talk to them. She just stared them down as she walked by. I'm kind of excited for this season, and waiting to see how the Garveys versus the Murphys match plays out over the season
  12. Probably because of what he did to Hayley (I agree with Klaus that he essentially saved her life, but YMMV.) and Gia.
  13. Rule #1 of the zombie apocalypse: Cardio. Running is a hard thing to do once the adrenaline wears off, especially if you're not used to it. Right now, gun aversion aside, he seems the most on track to survive once the gates come down. I wonder what's on his Running for Your Life soundtrack. Point #1: Junkies aren't exactly known for their long term thinking. Point #2: It gives her something to do. They've been in an enclosed space for over a week, I'm sure they're all more than a little stir crazy. I'm with the thinking that Travis isnn't 100% on board with the military takeover. He never seems particularly relieved or gracious when he's around them, more like politely helpful. Same way I imagine most people would be when they're stuck in small space with a group of heavily armed individuals. When they ask you to jump, you might not exactly ask them how high, but you're still gonna do it and encourage others to join in. Travis seems like he's more or less trying to keep people from panicking, himself included. Like another user mentioned, when Travis does have his breakdown, he does it in private where no one can see him.
  14. I've learned a long time ago that just because "the internet" seemingly doesn't like something, doesn't mean the rest of the viewing public doesn't (The Big Bang Theory is still the most watched non-reality show on tv in the important demographics, 18-49). Heck, if we went by the internet, shows on the CW would have much higher ratings than they do, as opposed to often being in last place ratings wise. I'm actually really liking FTWD so far. It's creepier to me than TWD has been in seasons. In every shot, I'm looking at the people in the background and wondering if those shambling individuals are drug-addicts or actual zombies. That's actually really neat (and real-life terrifying) when you think about it. But that could just be me living by two cities; one of them well-known for it's drug problem.
  15. According to Reddit, she said something like "If you've done something to him, I will kill you."
  16. I actually don't mind Liam, tbh. I like him when he's around Amy and think a (strictly) platonic relationship between them would be really nice to see. His relationship with Shane is the sweetest, and Shane needs Liam to reel him back in when his schemes get out of hand. He has a point on the show (outside of Karma) and the writers should really explore that. (More episodes like the one where he and Shane almost got to live out their dream of dating/banging twins). I feel like Amy might come out as a bisexual (yes they exist) with a strong female preference. Meaning, she wouldn't turn down a relationship with a male if she liked him enough. Lauren continues to be my favorite. More of her always!
  17. So it's the Room of Requirements, kind of? I kind of like that explanation, tbh. And it's the only thing that would make sense as for why none of them can ever find it on purpose (outside of the Durach and the occasional Hale.)
  18. His combination is 1-2-3-4-5-6...it took me longer than I'm willing to admit to get it too. Like...at least a full minute.
  19. I've seen theories floating around that Mr. Robot is Elliot's stepfather....? IDK about that though. It was an interesting thought.
  20. I was just going off of what you said about Scott passing on the bestiary to Sheriff. Not Scott's inherent knowledge, though I'd say he's picked up a fair bit when it comes to werewolf business, it's the other stuff that, understandably, throws him for a loop. You should be more on Deaton for not sharing his knowledge, but even he seems of the thinking that it's best to leave the human police out of supernatural business. That is essentially what the Hunters (Calavares and Argents) are for. Though they seem to be more US Marshally than state police. To be fair, no one seems to know all that much about the Dread Doctors, besides Dr.Valleck and whoever built Eichen House. And they're not Beacon Hills dependent; they, like everything else, were drawn there because of something the kids did back in 3b.
  21. Same! That was probably my favorite part of the episode because, although it was rather harsh and invasive, it made sense given the situation. Two kids were missing -something Scott blamed himself for- and they didn't have time for some random to sit back and slack read through a book it took them all an entire night to read. It was also very wolfish/alpha behavor. More of that, please! And the lack of remorse on Scott's part was made up for because everyone (excluding Malia and Mason) were pretty upset that he took that risk. It has nothing to do with plot armor, but a lack of knowledge on their part. The deputies went in thinking they were protecting the body from your every day, normal variety human perp. They were inept for the challenge at hand because they're, as far as we know, ignorant to the supernatural elements in their town. It would've been in their best interest to know that the person they were fighting against something that could Flame On! punch and toss a jeep. Having them go in for that job with their limited knowledge is akin to telling your friend you're going out hunting for deer when you're really hunting bears. Or that you're going swimming with dolphins when you're really going shark diving. That's more on Sheriff Stilinksi to educate his officers, tbh. And the Sheriff has already expressed hesitation in learning about anything to do with the supernatural unless it has something to do with a case he's working on. Again, that's not Scott's responsibility to educate anyone that doesn't express a want to educate themselves. Hayden's sister was working. Not to mention, they'd already made plans to be out all night. It's not outside the realm of possibility that they did a Round Robin (BTVS reference meaning they called their parents and told them they were staying the night at a friend's house. Liam probably said he was staying at Scott's, and Melissa would've covered. And Hayden probably said she was either at Kira's, who's parents also would've covered, or at some other friend's). That's actually something that happens in real life when teens want to hang out later than they're allowed.
  22. Nope. Nothing beat #PeaceOutKira ...the wooooooorst.
  23. But Melissa and Sheriff already figured at the Chimeras connection to one another: they'd all had some form of transplant operation done in the last few years. And about the homicidal issue, they've already had 2 examples of chimeras who started acting out of character after their change took affect: Tracy and Scorpion dude. The only thing they could hope to get from them was information on when the doctors started operating on them. And even if they used one of the homicidal ones as bait, the DDs have also shown that they don't really care whether an experiment lives or dies. They fail to survive, they're written off as a failed experiment. There really isn't much they could hope to get from one of the chimeras themselves, honestly. GPS trackers are not inexpensive. And without some of that Hale money (or an Argent to provide one) they're SOL on the gps tracker front. The most they could hope for his that Hayden or Liam had their cellphone in their pockets and that can hop onto to Find My iPhone. But even with that, the DDs have shown that they're able to disrupt most electronic devices. Which leads me to believe that effort would be null as well.
  24. Hey hey hey, let's not forget about 2 time Emmy nominee Shelley Hennig, here. She's pretty decent out of the younger crop and tends to be one of the few with steady work. What would be the point in interrogating the victims about the DDs? Most victims (Hayden) have no clue anything is wrong until they lose control. I mean, I guess they could force them to read the book but....they've shown time and time again that they're not the most adequate kidnappers. I agree with you about the vault though. They should've put Hayden in the vault put Malia, the only person around capable of opening it, in there with her. But at that point, I think they were very actively using Hayden as bait. This! Exactly. I thought Peter's eyes turned blue when he killed his niece Laura? He's expressed guilt over that. The common theme between the blue eyed-wolves seems to be their guilt. (Jackson excluded, maybe? But I think you could fanwank he felt at least a little guilty about all the things he was forced to do when he was a Kanima). I'm not counting out the theory that Theo could be one of the doctors successes. Or, better yet, the offspring of one. Valeck did say that this had happened before. His fears over losing Scott aren't completely random, though. Stiles has shown that he has anxiety over the prospect of losing anyone he cares about (might have to do with losing his mother when he was old enough to remember her and how it happened). At the beginning of this season, he even confessed to Malia that he was scared that he would lose Scott (although that had more to do with them leaving to go to different colleges and drifting apart). And teenagers are known for making emotional decisions that make sense to no one but themselves. Maybe? But I feel like she can't tell on him without telling on herself at this point. She hasn't told anyone what her repressed memory was yet, outside of Theo. And I think she's more wary of him rather than suspicious at this point. And that mostly seems to be because he's new and she doesn't know him. I think I didn't care for Hayden either way until she punched Liam in the face and ran away. I actually LOL'd at that.
  25. The going too fast and landing in certain jobs or attaining a random skill set is not an exclusively SV!Lois Lane trait. As I mentioned above in my earlier comment. Chloe gaining the ability to suddenly be able to hack into government and millitary databases, before Brainiac, out of the blue or Lana being a jiu jitsu master all of a sudden). Clark even got a job at the DP (in the basement with Lois) after filling out an application and no previous work experience. So if one character is going to be faulted for having a sped up storyline, every character (minus Lex and Oliver) need to be faulted as well. Even Lois' cousin (The OG!Felicity) And okay with the college thing ---I only brought it up because it was used in arguments (on this board) as a means to shat on her character and her accomplishements. That was what I was responding to. If that's not how it was meant, then I am sincerely apologizing for misinterpreting those statements) And Lois did work her way up. I even mentioned as much. She got a job at a tabloid article because she sold them a story (the barn door story) and they hired her. She worked at the inquisitor for at least one season of Smallville. She got her job at the DP (in the basement with the other interns, obit writers, and Chloe) because she was asked to write a story she pitched to her cousin and was overheard. Did the story get published? No. But how she got her job is ligitimately how some people luck into jobs in the real world. It happens. And to top it off after thant, I don't think there was ever even a mention of her being on the front page (her stories were usually burried in the back, same as Chloe's were) until around season 8. And that was mostly because she wrote about stories that no one else was paying attention to and then it blew up. (And if I'm not mistaken, there was even an episode where her story was given to someone else). Welcome to the world of superheros where things get switched around and retconned (it even happens in the comics). But the retconning didn't only apply to Lois, it happened to ever single character on the show (sometimes multiple times). If you don't like Lois you don't like her and that's fine. Like i said, she's not for everyone (and she's not meant to be). But I liked her. And YMMV greatly, and that is o-kay. Different people see different things and cling to certain types of characters.
