I just feel like I've heard so many versions of The Plan that it's hard to remember it all. I mean, I admire his ability to get himself out of corners.

If I remember the original plan, Sheridan was going to be the captain of a ship that was attached to B5, and would slowly step into the XO role when Takishema was revealed as Control. Sheridan was the one who was supposed to draw Sinclair into General Hague’s group. I assume had O’Hare not been forced to leave, Ivanova would have filled that role.

I wonder if in that circumstance they'd make Sheridan a woman, since there wouldn't be an Ivanova.

I imagine "Streisand-ticket-holding" would fly over the heads of kids these days.

Dropping on Netflix on 01/24. It is rather unseemly to do so, as it seems to be in recognition of the 30th anniversary of his execution.

Re-watched Shelter over the long weekend. I probably would still call it the Citizen Kane of low-budget gay indies, even if the ending is completely unrealistic.

They gave her Best Supporting Actress a few years later. They couldn't have been too put-out.

I honestly thought the AMPAS would look at its nomination at Best Animated and say "Okay, nerds, you happy now?" and not bother with anything other than some of the tech awards and Best Song for Black Panther. For both to do so well is just delightful. I'm too old to really pull for nominees, but if I'm doing it, it's for Spider-Verse and Regina King.

Spirited Away beat Lilo & Stitch and Treasure Planet, but given that Disney released Spirited Away in the United States, that's probably an asterisk at best.

Imma say this right now: I won't be surprised if Into the Spider-Verse wins.

I don't know if this is mystical, though. I didn't get that impression from the log entry, at least not entirely. And his journey prior to TMP was more about finally purging his human side. Perhaps this is what sets down that path.

I can't generalize to all public hospitals, but that has not been my experience at all.

I wish they hadn't spoiled the "THIS IS THE POWER OF MATH, PEOPLE!" followed by their high-five in the trailers. Even knowing it was coming, it was still everything. Seriously, watching Tilly geek out with both Paul and with Michael was delightful.

He has. My husband did point out there there was kind of a “Call me Chris. “Captain Pike” was my father” vibe.

I assume it's the same woman who played her last year. I'm an easy mark, but I THOROUGHLY enjoyed that. They clearly decided to frame it as a second pilot, and I think it was successful. They made a very clean break with the Lorca era, and told a good story in the mean time. I really hope we get to see Nhan and Reno again. They were both great, particularly the latter.
