  1. Shallow: they all look phenomenal.
  2. I thought he was quite boorish even before he tried to ensmarten himself. Nothing he did after seemed significantly dumber.
  3. I don't know about lovable.... I'd be in favor of Badgey becoming a recurring character, though.
  4. I don't know if I'm more into the idea of Book having a controller like Gary Seven did, or just an awesome cat.
  5. What's Up Doc?>Bringing Up Baby.
  6. The crew’s newest member, Grudge the Cat. He is a good cat. A pretty cat.
  7. The one thing I'm not so sure about doing it in present day is Mother Abigail. A very big part of her character was having her being the daughter of former slaves, and unless they're going to handwave her as being even older than 108, that math doesn't work out. Although it'll be interesting to see if they bring up the 1918 flu, since she would have been a child during it. Upon reflection, I'm even more surprised that King didn't raise it in the book as far as I remember.
  8. She's incredibly capable and the daughter of two high-ranking officers. I can absolutely see her in some kind of Starfleet ROTC.
  9. Not unprecedented, though.

    Sandman

Audible released a truly excellent adaptation of Preludes & Nocturnes, A Doll's House, and Dream Country. Each chapter is a full issue of the comic. Gaiman narrates (mostly, some issues that are more personal stories go to others), but otherwise it's a full cast. And it's mostly terrific people: Andy Serkis is Matthew, Riz Ahmed is the Corinthian, Michael Sheen as Lucifer, and Taron Egerton as Constantine. Plenty of awesome regular voice actors (the guy voicing Cain sounds JUST like Vincent Price). Some smaller names: my particular favorites being Joanna Lumley as Johanna Constantine and Josie Lawrence as Mad Hettie. James McAvoy is a great Morpheus. And Kat Dennings is PERFECT as Death. Her interaction with Samantha Morton's Ranie Blackwell was HEARTBREAKING.
  11. So, Empyre, in addition to marrying off Teddy and Billy, also revealed that Speed and Prodigy are a couple. By having the two of them take Teddy out to see a mutant drag queen named Krystal M'Kraan, which is such a good idea, I can't believe it took them this long. And now GotG has paired of Noh-Varr and Hercules. I guess Kate was the only straight member of YA 2.0.
  12. M-O-O-N, that spells "I'm kind of impressed."
  13. Ryan Coogler’s statement is just heartbreaking.
  14. "WHY IS HE SMILING!?!?!? WHAT DOES HE KNOW!?!?!" I have no idea why that cracked me up so much.
  15. How often does that happen on non-comedic Star Trek, tho?
  16. They'd announced Naya Rivera was voicing Catwoman in those two. I wonder if she'd finished recording before she died, or if that might be part of the reason they' had to delay.
  17. I'm glad she shared that story.
  18. Brie almost always knows exactly the right thing to say.
  19. And fuck 2020.
  20. Chadwick Boseman has died after a 4-year-battle with colon cancer. Jesus, this one hurts.

    Disney Films

Wait, I thought Cassie Steele was the star.
  22. I just wish they were taking a page from the most recent origin story for Cheetah from DC Rebirth. She was a professor of archeology who was the only person who could communicate with Diana when she first came to Man's World. They became besties and Barbara had a relationship with Etta Candy. And then she was tricked into becoming the Cheetah.
  23. She appeared in the Tilly-centered Short Trek "Runaway."

    The Batman (2022)

I might have been excited if I was able to see what happening.
