  1. When the short one said she sleeps in the middle of the king-size bed I gagged and then felt really bad for those children. NO. Just no HGTV. No more throuples, puhleeze. I didn't even know that was a "thing" and don't care to see any more of it on HH.
  2. My preference would be to remove the staircase and put in fold-down stairs to the attic, especially if it's only going to be used for storage.
  3. I hope that episode is new. I'm fed up with HGTV repackaging old shows and calling them "new"... my DVR records anything new, including the repackaged shows.
  4. Agreed about the blush dress. Very pretty. Those red flowers, which actually just looked like a handful of flower petals bunched together, were atrocious. Her ex seemed like a nice guy, but someone in her entourage should have spoken up and told her she looked like crap in that dress.
  5. Yes, 71 degrees right now. Come on down! 😎
  6. For only $40K more you can buy my 2-story brick Federal style home in GA with 2854 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 3 baths, living room, dining room, kitchen with breakfast area, family room, utility room, and a bonus room over the 2-car garage. It also has a 300 square feet sunroom not included in square footaqe of house because it's not heated and cooled, All on an acre lot with a couple hundred azalea and gardenia shrubs and dogwood, Bradford pear, and crepe myrtle trees. The house was built in 1987, but location, baby!
  7. I have Vitiligo and I thought the woman who scratched her skin had it as well. I was surprised that Dr Lee didn't mention it.
  8. I worked for an attorney who bought a house on Hilton Head and she used it many weekends. She never rented it, but it was often available to friends and family. When she couldn't make it down there sometimes she'd offer it to me and my husband. It was a great perk and all I had to do was water the plants. 🥰
  9. Yes, it's now a one bedroom house. The home owner said that was all she needed. Ben and Erin used space from the second bedroom to create the big bathroom and the former bathroom area is now a walk-in closet. They didn't show the closet, but I think they put the washing machine and dryer in there. After seeing the very end of the show I disliked that kitchen counter, which didn't seem to go with the color of the cabinets, and the backsplash behind the stove looked like a grave headstone to me.
  10. This show caught my attention because my husband's late cousin and his family lived in Laurel. When we lived in Louisiana we visited them about once a year. Their home was what I'd call a late 50s/early 60s rancher with a couple additions on a large lot on the edge of town. For instance, a mother-in-law suite and a sunroom were add-ons that were already a part of the house when they bought it in the early-70s. When we'd visit it was to spend time with family and sadly we never explored the town. I wish we had because it looks so charming.
  11. That's called a pier foundation in Louisiana and not at all uncommon in neighborhoods with older homes in the South.
  12. I have allergies so no plants in my house, real or fake.
  13. Ben's custom pieces are usually awesome.
  14. It depends, but if the homeowners have furniture and accessories that are antiques or family heirlooms, or if they simply have things they love, then Erin uses them. That's one thing I really appreciate about this show--she doesn't overlook the homeowners' stuff like it's unworthy of being used.
  15. That's horrible. My doctor got on the phone with the insurance company to fight for me to have an MRI and got it approved. As a result, the test revealed a massive cerebral aneurysm that I was thankfully able to get repaired. I had a ticking time bomb in my brain that could have killed me at any time. Insurance company employees are total uncaring bean counters.
  16. The episode was okay, but I almost threw something at the TV when they conned Izzy into doing $3500 worth of electrical work in a swap for "personal training."
  17. I didn't really get their back story. Are they marrying each other or having a double wedding with grooms? I'm confused.
  18. I live in Augusta, Georgia and cringed with embarrassment over their actions. I assure you, most of us southern ladies behave with a bit more grace. I wanted to smack that Chinese bride and tell her to stop crying and grow up. Frankly, I thought she was too immature to be getting married.
  19. Not sure, but when I lived in California I had to provide my own fridge in the apartment I rented.
  20. In addition, when some of the "improvements" are very specific to the homeowners' wants. Like turning a dining room into a "man cave/office" or a recent one that I saw where a master bedroom was cut in half to create an office.
  21. Hilary has done that on Love It or List It as well. Aside from being an eyesore, it's a waste of space that could be useful for some other purpose.
  22. I'm from Baton Rouge and an LSU gal, which is how I know the correct pronunciation. 😊
  23. I was surprised that they picked the house in town, but loved the character of the place with the front porches. That blue paint did wonders to brighten up the inside. I cringed every time the moderator mispronounced Lafayette. You probably won't know what I mean if you aren't from Louisiana. 😎
  24. Well, bless her heart. Every time she said something wasn't "postable" I wanted to stomp on her toes. Can you just imagine how her friends and relatives who haven't "overcome their modest upbringing" must feel when she brags about what she has? Social media has created some monsters in our current society.
  25. Wow. Those two were insufferable. Good luck planning a wedding, ladies. At least the setting will be nice.
