  1. I have an appointment every year with my dermatologist to get the tiny white bumps related to rosacea removed from my face and neck and he's also "frozen" several dark spots on my arms and legs to remove them. It's all been covered by insurance. I have the feeling that the patients who turn to Dr Lee simply don't have insurance, which is probably why other doctors haven't treated them.
  2. Mine didn't pick up the multi-million dollar Naples episode. Not sure what's going on, but I saw it after being asked by the DVR if I wanted to "watch the next episode" and clicked on it.
  3. The designer of the pool, spa, and associated structures was named, but I don't recall any mention of actual contractors. It was a joke when Christina "found" leftover tile from the bathroom remodel that they could use on the front of the outdoor bar and claimed it "saved" them something like $2800. No way.
  4. I didn't consider any of those Hawaii houses fixer-uppers. They could use cosmetic changes like paint, but they all appeared to be in pretty decent shape and move in ready.
  5. I nearly fell off my chair when I heard the cost. When Christina was discussing it with Ant he looked like he was about to cry. I doubt he can afford any of that sh!t.
  6. My DVR recorded a "new" episode last night and when I opened it I realized it was simply the last episode with Gerald, mole boy, and the lady with the leg lump, but it was Supersized! with new content for my viewing pleasure. I don't know what "new" content was included because I deleted it. I hate it when the network does that to try to trick me into watching a rerun hoping for something different.
  7. I really like this show and Jasmine, but I still can't wrap my head around the front yard patios she adds to every house. In the latest episode there already was an enclosed patio/porch area in the front of the house that the homeowners said they don't use so Jasmine took down the enclosure, made it a bit bigger, and built wood benches on the street side. It looked nice with new patio furniture, but if the homewowners didn't use it before when it was more private with the more substantial enclosure, I can't imagine they will actually use it more when anyone passing by will see them out there. Jasmine's changes to the homes' exteriors make them less cookie cutter and more custom, but I think the front yard entertaining spaces are impractical.
  8. I loved it when Orlando and the homeowner tried to sell the ex-wife's furniture and the only thing the used furniture store owner wanted was the dolphins because they were so kitschy. This show is a hoot and so entertaining.
  9. Very sad. I really feel bad for him. I wondered why the boy didn't wear shirts with collars or turtle necks to cover that awful looking disfigurement, especially after other kids called him names. It does actually look like poop.
  10. In the preview for the post-wedding episode Christina is having the pool re-done because it has no "character"... and oops... the old pool is gone, there's a hole in the ground, and all of a sudden she realizes they have to scale back the expense. Drama! Suspense! How does the fair Christina pull this off? Stay tuned. Will someone puhleaze tell me how a pool has character. Christina is a Kardashian wanna-be.
  11. Laredhead, I'm originally from Baton Rouge and our home there in Sherwood Forest had the front porch and carport ceilings painted pale blue to confuse the bugs.
  12. Wheeler Dealers seems like a low budget car renovation show and Ant isn't even the front man on it so I can't imagine him being highly paid and wealthy. Edd China, the mechanic who was originally on the show made a stink because the Brit producers didn't want to spend the money/time to highlight the work he was doing so he was replaced by Ant to fix up the cars. The premise is that Mike Brewer, the little fat guy, tries to low ball owners to buy their beat-up "classic" cars and usually ends up not getting a deal. When the cars are all fixed up he sells them to buyers who low ball him and usually caves for their low offers. It's a dumb show starring a used car salesman.
  13. When we last house hunted we were moving from one state to another. My husband knew the area we were moving to quite well so I depended on him in terms of location (one county vs adjacent county). Before we made our house hunting trip, the RE agent asked us for features we wanted in our home and sent us brochures and an MLS book. We picked a few houses we'd like to see and she found about two dozen additional houses to show us that were similar. All were appropriate for what we told her we were looking for and we picked the one we liked the best. Turned out that we selected well and have lived here happily for more than 31 years.
  14. He's the mechanic on a show called Wheeler Dealers on the Motor Trend channel where another Brit, a short fat guy, buys cars (some rather unique) and Ant fixes them up. Then the short fat guy sells them, often for ridiculous low prices and little profit. It's a really dumb show that moved from the UK to California. My husband used to watch it, that's why I know about it. I can't imagine that Ant makes a fortune being on a show like that and he does have two teenage children back in the UK from a previous marriage to support. Unless Christina profited big time from the sale of her Yorba Linda home (which I'm sure she had to share 50-50 with Tarek), I can see the new Christina and Ant lifestyle crashing and burning at some point.
  15. Just because his mole wasn't malignant now doesn't mean it can't be malignant in the future. I thought the boy was strange, but his mother was just cruel to not have gotten him treatment much sooner. He said he's being bullied and called names. Get the thing removed! My feeling was that he went along with what his mother wanted, but he'd have been thrilled to have that disfiguring mole/birthmark gone.
  16. That woman was truly insufferable. Her husband looked humiliated every time she opened her mouth and spouted something insulting about him and their little boy. Their four-year old looked quite capable of handling a flight of stairs.
  17. A bathtub insert is a fiberglass overlay that is fitted over an existing, usually damaged, tub. They can be quite chintzy and installers are often iffy. What they were actually seeing in that home were fiberglass combo bathtub/shower surrounds. Depending on the quality, they can last for a long time. We have one in our hall bathroom that is almost 32 years old and still looks like new. Obsessive house hunter wife complained about them getting moldy. My husband showers in the hall bathroom every day and our surround has never had mold on it. We also had a fiberglass shower in our master bathroom (removed during a remodel) and it never had a mold problem either. Just wait until Mrs. Picky Bitch tries to clean tile with grout over the long haul. That gets moldy. That said, they selected the best house.
  18. I watched. The wedding was a hot mess. The house seemed to be everything Christina wanted. Ant mentioned having a space for his children so that they would feel welcome when they visit. With four bedrooms, there's no dedicated space for his daughter and son. Sorry Ant, nothing for you except a spot to play soccer. The privacy gates he built to replace the gorgeous wrought iron gates are fugly. Dude, I hate to say it by they look like a DIY project gone bad.
  19. Plus, kids bullied him and called him names. I was sad that Dr Lee couldn't do more for him. Maybe he'll be back. Hopefully. His mother needed a smack upside the head. I was so happy to see Gerald get his tumor removed. What a lovely outcome.
  20. Alison Victoria would drop Donovan in a hot minute to hang on to her show. She's made it very clear that she is the queen and he's just a worker bee,
  21. The snark should be really good here after her "wedding" episode. I can hardly wait.
  22. Isn't cosplay a hobby? Do people actually make money doing that silliness?
  23. I agree, but she was from Alaska. Maybe part Inuit and perhaps the hair was part of her culture. Her hair would make beautiful wigs.
  24. Maybe they have enough episodes completed for a short season. I hope so because I enjoy the snark.
