  1. My friend put brick floors in her kitchen and they are gorgeous. Yes, they are sealed and the grout is pretty level with the top of the brick. She says they are very easy to keep clean by vacuuming and then mopping them with a microfiber 'string' mop.
  2. I hate it when the house hunters talk about hosting... as in, "we look forward to hosting when we close on this overpriced, crappy house." That sounds so pretentious and just odd. Why don't they simply say they look forward to having parties or inviting their friends over? Would that be too normal sounding?
  3. Terra and Debra both look like they've packed on some pounds since their 'ordeal' ended.
  4. While they said it was a sneak preview, it was two hours long on Oxygen. I started watching it at 11pm after the last episode on Bravo and it ended at 1am.
  5. Tonight on Oxygen. I watched it last night and it's quite compelling. It goes into what he did to several other women.
  6. And that shows who has the most common sense in that dysfunctional family.
  7. I really liked Connie Britton in Nashville. She and her fabulous hair were the complete iconic country music queen package, a la Tammy Wynette.
  8. I thought the real John Meehan was much more attractive and more of a physical hunk than the actor Eric Bana. While Bana is portraying the crazy eyes and nastiness very well, I think he was miscast in the part and wasn't particularly believable when it came to the "smooth" part of winning Debra over.
  9. I'm kind of confused about who the guy who was in the car that Debra got into after she parked her own car on the dealer's lot. Was that the PI or a lawyer she'd consulted in an earlier episode? I didn't recognize the actor/character, but he seemed to know all about her situation and gave her advice that she then seemed to follow.
  10. Their first book was free to download on Amazon Prime and Kindle Unlimited. Must not have been a big seller to end up there.
  11. Debra made a huge mistake going to see Dirty John in the hospital and then picking him up when he was discharged. It's a shame her daughter couldn't block him from her phone. The man is pure evil and Debra is so stupid to believe anything he says.
  12. She was really bitchy. That single story house was so nice and didn't need work. So they buy the house with horrible wallpaper everywhere and need to reno the bathroom and kitchen. Those are not inexpensive "projects" and I can't blame her husband for being concerned. The entire house was just tacky so naturally she loved it.
  13. That couple made my Top Ten list of Most Obnoxious House Hunters. If they'd bought the 3-bedroom house the boy and girl that live with them would each have a room and they could share with the other boy and girl when they visit if twin beds were put in each bedroom. His "children" looked old enough that they should be out on their own sooner rather than later anyway. I doubt they ever convert the attached stable to bedrooms and bathroom. The wife's big deal was living within a mile of her mommy and that swimming pool she wants will get put in before any work goes on inside the house. Selfish parents, both of them.
  14. I was relieved when my parents finally split up. Trust me, it's better being from a "broken home" than living in one.
  15. I don't remember exactly when the wedding took place, but Unchained Melody was a hit record much earlier than Ghost. It was very popular when I was in high school in the 60s when performed by the Righteous Brothers. I'm really old. LOL!
  16. I loved them! I also liked the house they picked.
  17. Me too. The replacement counter tops and flooring in our kitchen cost almost as much as they (and other flippers) estimate for an entire kitchen remodel, including appliances. My master bath is currently undergoing a remodel and the final tally of expenses will be close to $20K and, while my choices were well above builder-grade, I didn't opt for the highest end materials.
  18. I turned off the TV when I heard that, as well as that they'd only dated previously for a short time. Twits.
  19. Regarding Terra's Christmas sobbing fit... I think she was transferring her own emotions about her mother's men always disappearing onto the family's young children. I doubt that the nieces, nephews, and grandchildren got so attached to Debra's boyfriends/ex-husbands that they'd be devastated when the men were no longer around. On the other hand, perhaps Terra was upset as a younger child when they disappeared from the family circle.
  20. What pissed me off was that the therapist advised her to "set boundaries" with her daughters. In effect, she advised Debra to shove her daughters out of her life in favor of her slimy husband. I don't loathe Debra, but it's difficult to have any sympathy for her. Even though the daughters are clearly spoiled brats, I feel sympathetic toward them. They seem to have more common sense than their mother.
  21. From the photos I've seen of Debra and her daughter Terra, they are a good bit heavier than the actresses portraying them. I believe Debra was 59 at the time the story begins, so her mother was probably in her late-70s. If that's accurate, then I totally understand the costuming of the mother. I have a well-to-do friend whose mother is in that age demographic and she styles her hair and dresses a lot like they have Jean Smart styled and dressed. Also from photos, the real Dirty John was a lot more attractive than the actor playing the part. I'm not familiar with that actor, but I have a hard time believing women would swoon over him. He's just too skinny and not that appealing, IMHO.
  22. We have a wet bar with white cabinets in our sunroom and something (probably a red sports drink) got spilled on a cabinet door and left a stain on the finish. No big deal in the sunroom, but if it were my kitchen I'd be upset. Any drink or even popsicle with red dye in it can leave a stain, even if it's wiped up right away. Soft Scrub might remove it, but not always. Grape juice is another offender.
  23. I read the articles, but haven't listened to the podcast. How can I find it? Can I listen to it on the computer?
  24. I thought they'd go for a house with a pool... but an above-ground pool? I liked the house and the property, but that pool is tacky. Lovely engagement segment. They look so happy.
