  1. I like Orlando and was happy to see him back. That daycare show is one that I'd seen before on his previous Unspouse My House show and I remember thinking when I first saw if that the half bath was a good idea. However, I wondered even then if there was another door to the back yard. It didn't look like there was one in the kitchen and it would be a nuisance not to have a door to the yard.
  2. Totally agree. I'm not fond of open shelving--too much dust and grease accumulates there and is unsanitary in a kitchen--and I thought the ladder was dumb. Those open shelves were simply hung too high to be practical for anything but "display" stuff. They didn't show the mudroom and a pantry cabinet in there would have helped with lack of enough storage in the kitchen. They also could have put a cabinet above the fridge as well.
  3. You must have missed all the stuff that arrives from Wayfair. 😎
  4. Dude really played up his autism diagnosis to the hilt, using is as his way to get whatever he wanted. I felt so bad for his wife. She looked miserable and frustrated. Since he got his way maybe he'll tone it down a bit, but I doubt it since it's worked so well.
  5. Fit and trim. I was avoiding body shaming, but she was pretty chubby and dumpy. Her entourage all looked slimmer and athletic in their Taekwondo uniforms. That's my peeve as well. Even when I went shopping for a mother-of-the-groom dress I had the heels I'd be wearing with whatever dress I chose.
  6. The first time my mother saw my dress was on my wedding day. 😎
  7. I couldn't believe they sent her out in that mermaid dress. She looked like a slob in it. For a black belt in Taekwondo, she didn't have the body of a healthy athlete. The other ladies looked more the part. Those 'boards' must have been very flimsy props. The gimmicks are getting tiresome.
  8. Actually Scott predicted $350 a night, but they aren't even listing it that high. It looks to be pretty well booked up. I checked open dates at the end of September and those are $264 a night. I looked through the photos and the saddle (perfect for selfies!) is gone, as are the green chairs at the dining table, and most of the art has been changed.
  9. Not only was the voice like nails on a chalkboard, but the expressions on her face were bizarre. She looked like she was either severely constipated or had just sucked a lemon. Thirty minutes is not a long commute. BTW, it's not the quarantine that's making us cranky The house hunters are getting increasingly annoying. Producers must hate us. 😵
  10. New husband is a mechanic on the 'Wheeler Dealers' TV show.
  11. He probably has shared custody of the daughter and she might only be spending a couple nights a week at his house.
  12. But, but, but... he couldn't do that. The master bedroom was wifey's RETREAT!!! They didn't appear to use that RV for vacations so why not sell it and buy the 5-bedroom house that made more sense for such a large family?
  13. My thought was that the service kitchen is for caterers to use.
  14. I agree. If I could pick an HGTV designer to remodel my house, I'd pick Orlando. He listens to the homeowners and does his best to fulfill their wishes.
  15. Regarding Flagg's Long Beach house with three bedrooms... when he did the walk-through I seem to remember another room with an outside staircase--for the chauffeur? Couldn't that be "converted" to a 4th bedroom? Or was I dreaming or maybe I've got the million dollar houses mixed up.
  16. Totally agree! That was joyful and Marco's reaction was a treasure. 🥰 I must be the only viewer who thinks Bryan is the practical one and Sarah is impractical with the costly last minute changes she wants to make and with the "decor" that's not going to stand up to heavy use at a beach resort--the white chair cushions, the chaise lounge in a bathroom, etc.
  17. I wondered why he didn't have the power lines identified and marked before doing any digging. We always have the people out to do that before doing any work in our yard that involves a shovel.
  18. Bingo! They are just sucking us in with the "new" status on recycled shows. This trend is getting tiresome.
  19. When we renovated our master bathroom a couple years ago I chatted with the lady in the tile store about those patterned tiles. She only had a few designs on display and said no one was asking for them or actually buying them.
  20. It was fun to revisit those houses, but I'm with you. I want honest-to-goodness new episodes, not rehashed shows being presented as "new" simply because they've been re-edited.
  21. When we bought our house in 1987 the builder said he had walls "prepped" for wallpaper, which was popular at the time for kitchen, bathrooms, dining room, foyer, and family room. Thankfully, I selected a neutral string cloth for the family room and a "watered silk" look paper for the dining room and foyer. Those areas still have wallpaper. The dining room and foyer paper looks like fabric with a very subtle "weave" and is still attractive. Unless you look closely, it looks almost like painted walls. I've really grown to detest wallpaper, but can live with those.
  22. This! I'm so over Sarah's annoying complaints and her dumb-as-rocks decision to use white cushions on the resort furniture. When she screamed at Bryan and their son not to sit down I wanted to smack her.
  23. She wasn't "designing" anything. All she did was a rather ordinary remodel. There's a big difference. Her skill level doesn't even reach interior decorator status.
  24. They spent so much time on the faux judge's paneling on the stair wall in the dining area and it looked good. Then... they covered it up with a side table full of crap and you couldn't even see it. It was a nice feature and they totally hid it. The Juliette balcony was dumb. Without screens, who would want to invite bugs inside even if they wanted to open the doors for a view of... nothing?
  25. This! I don't watch HGTV to follow Mina's fertility issues and that just makes me uncomfortable. I stopped watching the Chimp & JoJo "Fixer Upper" show because their interactions had become so tiresome with his jackassery and her eye rolling and I'm about to give up on "Good Bones" due to Karen being so obnoxious. Personally, I think the houses would turn out better without Karen's input and her craftiness. They's probably sell for more as well and their profit would be greater if they'd stop with all the expensive marble and use porcelain tile in bathrooms and quartz kitchen countertops instead. Good looking, cheaper to purchase, and less ongoing maintenance for the home buyer.
