  1. Propazzinator, word. And WTF about her lack of curiosity as to whether there are any other Greys in or around the hospital or Seattle. Wouldn't you think that's something she'd want to know? Also, I don't remember her being interviewed by Christina. Did I miss something. She's Christina's replacement, right?
  2. Dagny, I also didn't realize that there were numerous folks who tried in so many ways to detail this program - people I'd never heard of. I agree with your response to seeing Gonzales, I just wanted to hurl. Also Bush and Haydon. Thank the gods of whistleblowers (are there any?) that we didn't have to watch/listen to Cheney, except for a few stills.
  3. Thanks, I'll look her up. I kept waiting for the breast-grabber to appear behind Selina, but I guess the ex-prime minister's hubby isn't on this trip. I wish this show were on a prime-time schedule. And I worry for the show in terms of the election. She can't be president and she doesn't want to remain the VP. Please, Ianucci, find a way to keep this show going.
  4. The exchanges between Selina and the Prime Minister (sorry, ex-prime minister) of Finland make me have to stop noshing, for fear of choking. Whoever's playing Minna is terrific.
  5. Ishkabibble, yes. The On Demand was off for two weeks and I called and complained, only to be told, well, it's up to the channels themselves. But this is all of them, I protested, nothing new since the end of April. Finally I was told they were putting them all back up this week but even this is a lie. What's happened is that they seem to have put up the most recent shows, skipping the ones in the first part of May. So a show may list episodes 3 and then 5, or 4 and then 6, skipping the ones in between. Which means this episode isn't up, as a lot of others aren't. Damn them.
  6. Jon's impression of Sterling made me have to stop eating my dinner - I was afraid I'd choke on my food.
  7. That would be really interesting if it were true. I'll look around.
  8. I think it often accompanies "alas," as in "Alas and alack." Wonder if it's Shakespearean.
  9. Jane: "Question I wake to in the morning and pass out with at night: What's my popularity with my fellow white people?" to General Fields. Trixie to Alma, when the latter fires her: "Alack for me." How I hoped I could work here, forever." Great word, "alack."
  10. Do you have any links to the Hearst/cancellation story? And "Slander" can mean, generally, "a false, malicious, and defamatory statement or report."
  11. Okay, total control, get it. But I wonder what the Hearst family thinks of this slanderous characterization of him.
  12. Not clear (to me) what Hearst is trying to do. All he wants is Alma's gold claim, so why is he stirring up the town against him? And Al - why would you let someone else fight for you?
  13. I'm going to miss Oberyn. Keep hoping this is a place in which they change the plot from the book, but I can't see how. Davos rules! I wonder if Tyrion will ever recover from what he's going to do about Shae. That wasn't necessary, Martin.
  14. No need to discuss. Just YAY! And TDS needs to keep Jessica Williams, but also have other non-white correspondents. Her "Purim Rant" in the spring of 2013 was one of the funniest bits I've ever seen on the show. Again, Yay, Larry!
  15. "Parp!" And again, "Parp!" And now I will be shot.
  16. Matthew Lillard is doing a fine job. Makes me laugh to remember that the first time I saw him he was playing a silly serial killer.
  17. When is Levine not excellent? Oh, I remember, there was that one time - nope! He's always excellent. Just discovered this site and am sorry there aren't more comments. It's a terrific show, except for the arc with the horsewoman. Just don't get that.
  18. "If he was trailing water, we might get took for ducklings."
  19. Not clear why WoFat would have wanted to help Samantha. Did I miss something?
  20. I was unclear about how Malvo killed the King. He put something in the King's pill prescription, but in the shower, the King bled out. Or was there blood in the shower water. Odd. Must be easier ways to poison someone. Billy Bob, you killed a dog. I'll keep watching but you're on my list.
  21. Re Bolton's betrayal of the Starks, I've always been confused about when that happened. In one scene (perhaps the end of one episode)he was with Jamie and Brienne and talking about going to the wedding. Then came the Red Wedding and its variety of activities. When did he get with the Freys, or the Lannisters, in that time period to be bought out by the Freys? Certainly Jamie didn't put him up to it. And I also wondered how Catelyn knew that she had been betrayed by Roose just by the fact that he had arm armor on. Pretty quick thinking, no?
  22. Ah, Jane, I've been waiting for that line of dialogue. Wow, surely lost a lot of respect for Bullock tonight; the beatdown of EB was just inexcusable. The man is dreadful, but hasn't the physical presence to defend himself against Bullock. Really gratuitous.
  23. I'm not sure Cersei really believes that Tyrion murdered Joffrey. She just wants to get rid of him in a quasi-legal way. But I'm not sure why, though I expect it's been revealed earlier. He's smarter than she is, he's a man and gets more attention than she does (well, so does Jamie, but they're sleeping together so there's that). And if he's gone, there's more chance that she will move up the ladder to whatever one achieves at the top of the Lannister ladder. Margery had better watch out, just sayin'.
  24. Thanks for the info. I've wondered how the rhythm and Shakespearean-like language is maintained if the writers are different. Now I get it.
