I think everyone has pointed out the main UO with coming with the revival. I mean when they were showing the pieces with Taylor or Kirk I was like: "You guys are in your forties and approaching 70 and you are still acting like this? I mean, at what point has a new Selectman not been elected or Kirk did something really stupid that got him ran over after what we saw in the last two seasons. Of course, I could also see Kirk has kids with Lulu now and he has focused more on the kids or they are doing similar things and he has now toned it down because he has gotten payback. However, I agree, I don't want to see Rory still being the "special snowflake". Not really having a career that keeps you stable, that I can buy, been there myself until I was 30. Luke and Lorelai still not married and Richard now dead and Emily still having problems with Lorelai? Ummm... time to move on and I don't want Chris showing up and everyone going: "Well, he made a mistake at 16, we have to help him." He's in his mid 40s now and has so much money, one grown daughter and another that would be in middle school now. Anything else is his own damn fault and if Francine is still alive, I will be shocked since everyone else who treated Chris so special outside of Lorelai and Emily are now dead.

Or if they wouldn't decided to dump Rory and Paris's roommates after building them up all season and then have no one at all during season 6. Then it would have avoided Lucy and Olivia being thrown in all together.

It's like they watched old episodes of ER when they brought Chen back after they showed her be completely inaccurate of being a good doctor. Not thinking things through, trying to 1-up everyone. Then she has a "moment" with a person having a heart attack and then comes back being an amazing doctor. Sorry, Leah showed constantly she didn't have the skills or gifts to be a surgeon, a regular doctor or private practice one. Sure, but we were hit over the head she wasn't cut out for it and now: "Look I'm a god now" Oh come on!

That's the thing, there is supporting your spouse and then there is just being stupid about things. It be like: "Well, I had to buy this stuff because it was on sale." Yet, it ends up just taking up space and would be sold a year or two on Ebay or something. Or: "But I want that too." Well, can't get everything we want in life. Have to move on. What is with Claire trying to ruin things when really, her kids could care less. Then you wonder why Alex can't handle college, Hailey is living in your basement aimless and Luke is so oblivious it's amazing he can still tie his shoes.

Oh I'm ready for this. Hit all the right notes and yes, I love the all agree, Richard is taking up the whole wall.

That's what I mean with Mike. This season and last he has turned into: "I hate doing this crap." Even with Christmas last year, he was all: "Enough with your stupid family traditions, Vanessa." I mean where did that even come from? I also remember when she and even Ed brought up about things Mike used to like and now he is all: "Get off my lawn, you damn kids!" I mean, where did this come from? You can blame it on where Kris and Mandy getting married to the last people he would expect, but he acts like having fun at Halloween, Christmas or I remember this past Valentine's Day he was all: "Why do I need to keep doing this?" I don't know if it was Tim Allen's idea or the writers, but Mike has become so bitter about things when really, he shouldn't be. I mean he keeps acting like Vanessa is taking over the house and then has to turn around and make everything about him. He acted like he was better at raising Boyd and now he barely ever cares outside the private school idea last year. Same goes for Ed, he has is having Mike, Kristin and even Kyle bringing in a lot of business. More than they have had in years, making even more money and he is all: "I don't want fat people here." "Why do we need to carry this product?" "Why do you keep acting like I can't know about things?" It comes off that he is a business owner that maybe should just retire and turn everything over to Mike and Kyle and drive off into the sunset. For Vanessa, I've been saying this since season 2 when they made it like Eve had to hate everything including what her mom did for a living. The people that Eve was supposedly "friends" with were coming off as 16 year olds who don't know how energy and fracking really working. Then you add in Ryan basically spilling stupid unfounded ideas to Boyd and then she is all: "I had a dream of being a teacher and I'll do that." Then she was coming off as a moron trying to get her state license. Then hating the politics, drinking wine on a daily basis and then she loses her job because: "She was the last new teacher." After 2 years, you are no longer the "new" teacher she would be: "Last teacher hired" and another problem is, if there was a set contract with the pay raise, then they couldn't cut her job. If they had made the raise and that required cutting down a staff member. Then Vanessa would have been told from day one. You don't just go to work and the next day: "Oh keep teaching and doing lesson plans even though technically have been fired." Yet her supposed "friends" and co-workers don't know how to tell her she is out of a job. The writer just don't know what to do with Vanessa and it makes her come off like an oblivious idiot because at this point in time. How the hell did she complete a PhD in Geology? Having a doctorate doesn't mean how smart you are, but more how determine you are, because you will never do any type of research or a paper like that again in your life. I should know, I'm in the middle of one now. However, Vanessa comes off more as someone who just happened to get opportunities thrown her way and good thing her kids were grown and her husband makes tons of money (insert eye roll). I remember back in season 1 when they showed Vanessa's old job once and she was like the smartest person there and she said she was almost VP for the company and then threw it away. I wanted Mike to say: "Well, if you weren't so upset to offend stupid Ryan and Eve's former classmates and just tell Boyd that you weren't destroying the planet. You would have been fine." I mean in Vanessa's case, either have her teach at a community or university and they can have the best of both worlds. She teaches, makes more money and has just a little bit more foundation to retire on. Other wise, as many have said, finish this show after season 6 because they don't know what to do with the characters outside making them bitter about everything. I mean the characters mocking each other showed that really, they have no other direction outside to just be stupid, ignorant or bitter about everything. I mean, Eve still has no idea what to do and they could focus perfectly on the character trying to figure herself out, but aren't because she has been busy filming a movie and doing some side work outside the show and it's eating up her schedule. So as Mandy put it: "Grumble, grumble, complain about something that I really don't care about."

No, he was working still. I remember in a passing comment at Rory's graduation how he said he had a busy week at work or something to that effect.

The problem is, it doesn't work in any case. Alex has not put the hospital or patients in jeopardy for even a lawsuit by DeLuacha. However, at the same time Bailey acting like ignoring it isn't the way and when it all comes down to it. DeLuacha at this time has no reason to keep Jo's secret and even more, there has ben NOTHING on Jo at all on this. we have to wait around for some big outing because you know... DRAMA!

Add another problem with that episode is that Chris still comes off like an idiot with: "How can you stand this town?" "They people do such stupid things."

I cracked up several times, and the mocking of each other's characters was so spot on. Like they were saying: "Yes, this is who they are." Of course, Ryan could have shaved, but oh no. Unless the actor is filming a movie and has to be clean shaven, he always, always has to have a beard because remember. Ryan is a hippy and Eve hates everything. Yes, they made such a big deal to make Vanessa quit her job in season 3 for this teaching job and now. They can't do that either and it was NEVER a dream. She originally decided not to be a teacher because she went into business because it paid more and then she quit because of Eve's stupid classmates and Ryan being an asshole. Now, she is kicking herself, but you know, she could go teach at a college? Just like Eve could have still enlisted into the military, but since it wasn't Westpoint. Screw that, music in the garage.

That's exactly it and everyone cut him slack because of what his "sixteen year self did". Yet, no one for one second went: "He is in this 30s now, get a life, Chris." Oh no it was: "Poor Chris, here have some inheritance." "Here I sleep with you just by looking at you." "Oh yeah, should be married and be one big happy family." "Give the man some slack." Oh shut up!

I laughed out so many times with everyone dressing like the other. However, Ryan couldn't shave for this? He has been clean shaved several times and Mike doing his: "I'm old now, screw everyone, I want to be left alone watching sports and farting now." That just makes him so unlikable but the part that really got me was when Vanessa talked about how she gave up a great job and almost being VP to follow a dream. I wanted Eve to go: "No mom, you listen to dumbass Ryan and Boyd dressing like a lump of coal that made you quit your job." I would have liked Ryan to then go: "Yeah, sorry about that." Once again, the writers wrote themselves in the corner and they had to have Vanessa just lose another job. Here is a problem, she have to join a union to work as a classroom teacher or at least be part of the AFT. So, her getting fired in the MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR because she was the last new teacher hired. New as in 2 years ago, made even less sense. Plus, it as Haloween, where the hell was Boyd? The only kid in the family and Boyd wasn't there or even mentioned. Plus, where is Muffin the dog? But, hey not like the writers started being realistic about anything or using characters for actual story points since season 2.

The Richard painting is so Emily, but I agree, I think I was playing a live version of Clue.

Plus, also in DS9 it was established that the Federation President's office was in France and also in Star Trek 6 there was a reference of being in Europe. So, I don't find it that hard to believe that Picard and Rober had English accents.

Yes, I got that Lorelai was fine that none of the bad things and the fight being about her when she knew about Dean and Jess she didn't find a big deal. Of course, I'm sure after what happened with Dean later on and everything, she could have seen the signs and just said: "You screwed up there and why was Jess having such problems?"

Season 2: Yes, my favorite, the balance stories worked and even the early Dean and Jess Triangle was more balanced unlike what happened in season 3. Season 1: Great establishing of the characters and the stories flowed very well and many of the subplots and characters really grew into the following season. Very happy with that. Season 4: Jason up until the end was my favorite and I did like Rory early on not being to work in college perfectly was good up until the mid point leading to the affair and don't get me started on Nicole. I enjoyed the roommates and early Marty, but then they botched that by dropping the roommates and turning Marty into a doormat in season 5. Plus, Asther Flemming! Ugh! I hated that. It was like the year of forbidden and stupid affairs with AS-P and her husband. Season 5: Way too much focus roadblocks being thrown at Luke and Lorelai and this was the beginning of my hatred for Emily despite some stupid moves in season 4. I did like Logan's introduction and progress, but the lead into the end with his family and Rory's melt down was just horrible. Also, too much Christopher for me. Season 3: Way too much with Nicole, Paris's melt down was too much and something I didn't pick out was then her wanting to dump Jamie at the beginning of season 4. Which I hated and I was not a fan of Lane's moving towards: "Ok mom, I'll do everything you say and hate it so that way next season I will have an excuse why my life has gone out the door." Also, too much focus on why Chris and Sherry were great together and Lorelai should be pissed off. Season 7: This was pretty much the fix up season and trying to fix up too much of the disaster that was season 6. Like the ending, but still they had to rebuild the GG world from the ground back up and sadly, way, way too much Christopher and the complete lost bonding that could have happened with Rory and Georgia. Wasted! Season 6: Hate the season for so many reasons, Anna, April, Christopher, Luke being a moron, Sookie is a bitch, Michel should be fired. Emily and Richard are out of touch with the times and Rory. Oh Rory, Rory Rory. 'Nuff said.

Oh I completely agree. As I have said, I had no problems with Lane finding out sex is not what it was all hyped up to be or not to be, but it went too far. Then I had no problem with Sookie saying: "We have one of each, let's move on." No, it's basically order the nurses to handcuff Jackson to the out patient waiting room and then he gets there and they let him go and he just says: "Just tell my wife I got it and fake the paper work and I'll justy say I paid the bill off." Then get's pregnant after Sookie went off birth control when she was under the impression that Jackson was snipped, because doctors even say wait a month after the procedure to make sure all sperm are dead and then just tell women to wait at the worst 3 months and then go off birth control slowly. Here it was almost a year later. What the hell? I really was and when he was working at the other inn while the Dragonfly was being finished, he was still the same. He was really, really bad, but that's sadly the one thing I did find realistic sadly. How many times have we worked with someone like that who was the friend, cousin, big boobed, lazy relative of someone and no matter what they did. They would have to commit murder before being let go. I lost my job applying for a transfer and because two employees were leaving the place a mess. But since I worked before them, it has to be "my fault". Then after I was gone they realized it was still happening and then fired those employees, but by then it was too late and they didn't want to look like morons so they just chalked it up to: "Well, opps!"

I just decided to watch that episode and yes, Straub said that didn't "complete" Princeton like the rest of the men in his family and after what was said to Lorelai in that same episode. It seems like he tried another college, but didn't make it either. Why he was doing odd jobs and had built up a rep to be a consultant with a private company that was making money. So, he fell up to success, but still didn't hit him in the head he didn't know how to be a father and his idea was just throwing money out and trying to adapt back to a lifestyle he was happy with ie Lorelai and being with her. Why he said that kissing Lorelai was the best moment of his life and his other idea of "growing up" was being there for Sherry since he got her pregnant too. But then his idea of "being there" was just paying the bills. When Sherry left it was AS-P's classic: "Feel sorry for poor Christopher, he just can't catch a break." Where I wanted to say: "Yes, that was horrible, but the man has to grow the hell up and be a MAN!"

Actually, Straub said if it wouldn't have been Lorelai or Rory, Christopher wouldn't have dropped out of school. Then he had told Lorelai he still would have dropped out. I took it more that he went in, but barely made it to his first semester/year before saying: "Forget this!"

The problem with DeLuca is by now, besides as many have said he should tell Baily that his being beaten over something he didn't do should not be an inconvience to her. I'm surprise he just hasn't just said to Bailey or even Alex and said: "Jo isn't even her real name. She is still married to someone and she was drunk out of her mind." "So, why don't you go ask her what this shit is about and go beat up her husband Alex, because she was afraid you would if she told you the truth." I mean he is letting everyone screw him over and he has no obligation to Jo to stay quiet like this.

Right, and it would have had Chris going back to why he dropped out of college himself, but was over different reasons. Yet, they couldn't think of that.

I agree and I know that David Sutcliffee was busy due to various factors, so hence they changed to the Elder Gilmores, which still made sense. However, continued to paid Chris as oblvious to his oldest daughter's issues. When AS-P and her husband kept saying: "He's learn and give him a break." What crap!

I completely agree. I get the 16 year old being cut slack, considering his age, maturity and his view on everything from his own family and on. However, that's where everyone seem to focus on. His 16 year old self not being ready and constant excuses that a man in his 30s, who got a very good job, home, inheritence continued to be a guy who was happier to have sex and be married to his original daughter's mother than to care about either one of his kids unless it suited to be with Lorelai. That is where the line is drawn.

Right and that's where problems where with Anna IMHO too. It was like: "See, she sacrificed everything to be a mom to April." Instead it came off as: "Luke is a complete moron for not tearing a new one to Anna and thinking handling everything in secret was a good idea instead he was a spineless coward about it." I think if AS-P or her husband (How I refer to him) were parents they might have seen this instead of having a hard on for Rick Suttcliff or other actors they thought had great chemistry, but were piss poor characters.

That's why I got so sick of Chris, everyone acted like he was involved more and he wasn't, he just wasn't. He was involved if it involved Lorelei or related to her. I don't care how much "in love" AS-P was with Rick Suttcliff or the chemistry he had with Lauren Graham, he was a spineless, oblivious asshole and always got a damn pass because: "He's Rory's father." Oh shut up! Anyone can be a sperm donor, takes a man to be a father and Chris just wasn't.
