  1. I also remembering Mark Sheppard saying that they wanted to demote him to reoccurring instead of a regular and have him sign a contract to keep him from working on other projects while working on SPN.
  2. After watching the trailer again I wonder if they're testing everyone's powers in the same scene. They showed MM hitting Butcher with a huge wood plank it looks like and it immediately snaps in half.
  3. This makes a lot more sense than Becca willingly having an affair after seeing how much she obviously loved Butcher. And Homelander is far from charming so I don't see what the draw would have been with him vs her husband outside of his fame.
  4. As a SPN fangirl I wonder if Jim Beaver who is Bob Singer on The Boys and Bobby Singer on SPN (really Kripke??) will have any interaction with Soldier Boy (Dean Winchester on SPN) at all. It will be a nice touch for SPN fans if they do. 🙂
  5. He looked the same during the purge speech and when he told Dean that he would be the one to end Benny (paraphrasing) so I would say that it's just Jared's acting style.
  6. And who knew how to elevate the mediocre writing that was written for him. 20-30% of what made the character so iconic was writing, the rest was all Jensen.
  7. That's because the writing for Sam was already written to make him look better and be smarter than Dean. Even when he was hooked on demon blood and under Ruby's influence. Jared didn't have to tweak anything.
  8. I think that it's pretty sad that fans still think that Becca willingly cheated on Butcher with Homelander even after she confirmed that she was raped. I watched a review on Youtube and the majority of the comments were that she had an affair and called it rape because she felt guilty for cheating. That makes zero sense to me.
  9. Which is standard with anyone that Sam connects with. Rowena was just as evil as Crowley and one could argue that her cruelty towards him during his upbringing was what shaped Fergus into what he later became. Since Crowley only bonded with Dean they couldn't bear to regard him with any sentiment after he was gone even though he literally sacrificed himself for their cause.
  10. With the exception of a few episodes this is a good thing.
  11. One could argue that Ruby served the same purpose. Even before Sam and the demon blood he was willing to listen to a demon when she appeared in season 3 when neither brother had any reason to trust them. And let's not forget Amy Pond who was also brought out of Sam's history as a beloved friend that had never been mentioned but drove a wedge between the brothers just the same.
  12. And Mark Sheppard said that Crowley would naturally gravitate towards Dean because he was an obvious leader. Yup! I read it on this very forum.
  13. Agree so much. Benny was immediately mistrusted by fandom (aka Sam stans) because they didn't want him to turn out to be good and they desperately wanted Sam's (irrational) distrust to be justified. They hated that Benny died being a good bro and still blame Dean for having the audacity to cherish their friendship. Complete and utter BS; Benny deserved better.
  14. Add Davy Perez to that, aka "I didn't watch 1 episode before I got this job!" and totally drunk Dabb's anti-Dean koolaid.
  15. Love this point. For all of the codependency in their relationship Dean was always shown to be able to function without Sam. Sure he obviously missed his brother, but he accepted the situation and moved on. He was even capable of working with another partner which was evident during his hunt for Raphael with Cas during season 5. Sam went on without Dean, but his life always looked bleak and empty as shown in season 5, season 8 and in the finale.
  16. While also gleefully erasing everything that the previous showrunners did that was vastly superior to the dreck that he churned out.
  17. I wonder if he will have an advantage since he was born a supe while Homelander was injected with Compound V as a baby. Has the show talked about natural born supes as opposed to the ones that received V as a child? I can't recall.
  18. I've been rewatching to get myself pumped for season 3 and I hit this episode tonight. The way that Homelander can go from the jovial savior to a terrifying psychopath on the drop of a dime is unreal. Antony Starr is amazing in this role.
  19. I think that it was actually because he had planned for the series to end after the conclusion of season 5. Sam and Dean would be known as the brothers that gave their lives to save the humanity which wouldn't be a bad legacy to leave behind IMO. When the network wanted to renew they rewrote the ending and Sera Gamble took over. This is just what I've read but if I'm wrong, someone correct me please!
  20. The SPN community was and still is divided between who's the better brother/actor the minute there was an uptick in Dean/Jensen's popularity. It doesn't surprise me that it's still ongoing with the new show.
  21. That's what I read also. Sam being trapped in the cage while Dean lives a regular life is what actually happened in the show, not how Kripke envisioned the ending.
