  1. When they showed her outside her eyes were white.
  2. It most definitely was but the Darkness being released at the end of season 10 was pretty cool too. Soldier Boy from The Boys.
  3. You're right, Carver was the writer. Which actually proves my point even more!
  4. I'm sure Singer had a lot of power but that doesn't take away from the fact that the showrunner is the one that has the final say. That's always been my understanding based on this show and others.
  5. But Carver was still the showrunner. Regardless of who was the EP he was ultimately the man in charge. He even directed the biggest "poor Sammy" episode from season 8 which was Sacrifice. He definitely added to the narrative.
  6. Carver was the showrunner at the time so it still falls on him.
  7. Which sucks because he gave Dean his most interesting storyline but also leaned too heavily into the "take care of Sammy" dynamic.
  8. This is a great theory. With that in mind I wonder if Stan Edgar will see Soldier Boy as his way to bring Homelander back in line since he's now out of his control.
  9. This is why I assumed the same thing.
  10. Personally I think that his powers being diminished in season 5 due to being cut off from Heaven for rebelling was the only reason that made sense. He was still stronger than a human but he wasn't the all powerful being that he had been. Later on it just became ridiculous.
  11. I get it. Just not as clear for everyone it seems.
  12. Simple mistake and not a farfetched assumption. 🤷‍♀️
  13. Agreed. I liked Castiel less after Point of No Return, by season 12 I was indifferent and by season 14 he was dead to me.
  14. In season 2 he said that his father killed himself trying to get justice because of a Supe so I'm assuming Soldier Boy may have killed his mother, siblings or both. I'm guessing that they were either Supe collateral damage or it was done with intentional cruelty like we saw from Liberty.
  15. Like @gonzosgirrl I thought that Vought had her laid up in a fancy-smancy hospital but since Homelander is the only one that cares about her it would make a lot of sense for her to be in his apartment.
  16. Yay, Soldier Boy! Love to see the 1st shot of Jensen outside of the photos from the 1st two eps and I also didn't expect to see that Stan Edgar was in the mix when Payback was in action. The actor is pretty good, he has Giancarlo's speech pattern down pat. I'm not surprised how Homelander is screwing with Starlight, Deep and A-Train right now but I actually felt sorry for Deep during the dinner scene. His wife is pretty fucked up to have enjoyed what Homelander did to him. And holy hell what an ending!!
  17. Suped up Butcher is somehow even more awesome than regular Butcher. I can't believe that Grace Mallory was a part of a Soldier Boy's coverup. I wonder if that'll make Butcher remove Ryan from her care or handwave his promise to Becca and cut all ties with them altogether. After seeing the differing reactions from Monique and her boyfriend's to Homelander's speech I'm kinda worried about her and Janine. He was a little too invested in what he was saying which makes me wonder if he was a Stormfront fan also.
  18. I could have done without seeing Termite disappear inside that guy's ass. I guess they thought that there was a missed opportunity when he dived into someone's vag in season 1. Still, too much Kripke! I love Frenchie and Kimiko so much and she seems so ready to enjoy life! I'm so sad at seeing what the outcome was with MM's family. He was so in love with his wife and counting the minutes until he could join them again. I get that Monique said that she never wanted to see him again but it still sucks. I'm glad that Hughie found out about Victoria early on; I was worried that they would drag it out until around mid season. It's nice to see that Butcher has a good relationship with Ryan but I wonder if his hatred of Homelander will overshadow his promise to Becca.
  19. It really goes to show what superior writing can do. The writers from the Kripke era wrote a truly chilling character, Gamble crammed him into Sam's lackluster "hell wall" storyline and lessened his prior impact while Dabb and Co. gave us a whiny narcissist and tried to make him sympathetic. By the show's end I was completely over Lucifer and Mark Pelligrino even though I've thoroughly enjoyed him in other projects.
  20. And what really sucks is that Mark Pelligrino got the sweetest deal because everyone involved cared more about Lucifer than the Winchesters. And let's not forget about the Colonel Sanders knockoff, aka Crowley lite.
  21. From what I recall after he was written out he said that he expressed his displeasure with the Crowley addicted to human blood storyline in season 9 and again with the Lucifer storyline in season 12. Both times he was shut down and I guess that they decided to double down on their treatment of the character and the actor.
  22. I agree. Also, this thread is to air whatever grievances that fans have with characters/actors so I find it confusing that we have to keep reiterating this point.
