Long time lower elem teacher here and I loved it. So much truth. Bathroom time is contagious with little ones. Loved Barbara taking out the one working toilet. Loved Melissa getting help from Jacob. Loved Barbara seeing the light on mentoring newer teachers. Love Janine and her constant and unwavering optimism and to do right for her kids. Education NEEDS teachers like her. You knew Ava would have a bathroom palace.....

S10.E11: Relationship Status: Open
BAForever replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Me too CapeCodLuv. I remember watching the premiere and then getting on youtube and watching her original video with Todd. She was funny without the vulgarity of today. She had an interesting life, living and teaching in Korea. She was unique, a bigger woman who enjoyed life and wasn't going to hide because of her size. Then, all personal growth ceased and she morphed into the Whitney of today. -

Yes, times 1000. Tonight's episode- the whole Lenny/ leg pounding? She started the conversation. The disdain Buddy shows for her is hilarious. No wonder he travels alone on these boondoggles. -

Hate to say admit it since I've watched since Day 1, but this might be the end for me. I miss Todd and Tal. I miss somewhat believable scenarios, I miss Whitney working or pretending to work. Don't need the "Whitney can attract any good looking guy she sees with her sparking personality." I'll suffer thru next week's finale, but that might be it. -
Relationships with parents and gparents can be difficult. Throw in a somewhat dysfunctional upbringing, money, a family business, possible inheritances, step parents and significant others and people who are social media influencers (hate that term and what it represents), and you have a perfect storm of crazy. Cannot imagine playing out my life in a public forum. #theyarealltoblame

Agree. I think there will be pockets of kids who keep in touch with visits, and ones who don't. It will never be the whole fam or majority though.

Know absolutely nothing about any medications Leon may or may not be on, but many things can contribute to a more harsh reaction. That being said, I'm glad they are better protected from flu and "Covid 19" (Kody, like we don't all know it's 19).

Can totally see Tariq cooking. He's a "creative" (hate that word, have heard it recently on House Hunters). Now can he follow a recipe or recreate a dish? Probably not, but I'm a good cook and improvise a lot. Love this show.

Oh Gregory. Every elementary teacher feels your pain in this situation. Find a buddy teacher to send a child too. Principals let them play on the IPad and give them Starburst candies. Barbara is right. Connecting with kids is the best way to have a well-managed class. Relationships before Rigor (hate the buzz word Rigor).

Ok, some nice Primetimer needs to put the link to this (mis)adventure for all of us to laugh at. Please and thank you.

Only on S12. (stupid job interfering with my TV viewing), so Caryn isn't on the scene yet except as working at the farm. That being said, Caryn is Matt's girlfriend, she's not an inlaw or step parent. Not her job to offer olive branches. Can she facilitate and support a better relationship between Matt and Zach? Yes. But not her role to be offering olive branches. Matt's history with his sons and the farm goes back decades. She needs to stay in her role as girlfriend.

Christine Brown Woolley: Nacho Sister Wife Anymore
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Old saying in education. "If you've seen one person with autism, you've seen one person with autism." A birth order enthusiast would have fun with Truely's situation. She really doesn't have a sibling cohort, unlike most of the other Brown children. Raised by a single mom with a uninvolved but sometimes present dad. Moved around a lot, affected and somewhat isolated by covid. Not sure as to her schooling, a combination of homeschooling and online the past few years. ASD diagnosis or not, (I'm leaning no) Christine loves her and putting her in school with peers is a good move IMO. -
Social Media: What's Up With Her?

Anything to stay relevant and in the news I guess. -
My weekend reward!! F*** you Meri, Robyn and Kody. Meri- you're disappointed? Go look at the mountain then. You were so ready to bolt this family and now the Christine has the nerve and the strength to do it you find fault in that? Go to hell. Robyn, you look constipated wringing your hands and not being able to compute the situation. You got the man, bwwaaahh, he's all yours. Go to hell. Kody, you're a petty little man who is reaping what you have sown. Go to hell. Christine, so proud of your calm strength. You had answers for every question. I admire you for wanting a better life for you and Truly. Best season of this sh****** in years.

Rebky, me too. The secret was revealed in previews for next week.

I've been down the hall from multi-age classes for years. Some real advantages. Those students you are having a second year you really know them right when the school year starts and already have established relationships with them and their parents. Also, the older students can somewhat help out some of the younger ones at times. Disadvantages double the curriculum and making sure you're meeting the needs of both grades. Biggest disadvantage that I have seen recently is having a horrible child and knowing you get them again the next year. Makes for a depressing summer.

Chicago- she bugged. Between her overusing the term "hosting" and the ever popular "it's not really my style", she was annoying. And the whole curb appeal angle. My home has wonderful curb appeal, but that's not a reason to buy or not buy. They didn't seem like a couple to me, more like siblings. That all being complained about, they picked the right one. And don't get me started on the whole short term rentals. No matter how awesome it is, you will never get as much in rental as you think. Cleaning, insurance, wear and tear, etc all take a piece of profit.

Going to need to rewatch. I seem to miss some of the best jokes. I love this show, but it moves too fast for me at times. Unpopular opinion, didn't love Mr. Johnson tonight. Maybe because he took Janine's shawl, not sure though.

S10.E09: Let's Get Physical
BAForever replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Me too. Todd seems quite responsible and NOW we are learning that he is perpetually late? Not buying it. And Buddy at CVS looking for a rapid test? We still have 4 courtesy the government and got 4 free when covid boosted through insurance last week. Calling shenanigans. This show gets lamer and lamer. But still I tune in... -
Right there with you LucindaBelle. I miss the Starbucks gift cards from parents at holidays and the plentiful supplies, but love my team and my kids at my title school. This show really gets what it's like in elementary education. Maybe they'll do an holiday episode with a gift giving scenario. I've been regifted a lot, but that's ok.

A big thank you to those of you who follow these people on other media and share so the rest of us can enjoy. ♥️♥️

Whoa, so Maddie is driving from NC to Utah with two young children? That's probably 2000 miles. Wow

Haven't watched, but will and have read all comments. Christine is a new (and improved) woman. So proud of her. When I was younger, I never got why abused woman stayed in bad relationships. Of course I get it now as an adult- much easier said than done. Christine and Meri have been emotionally abused for years, while Janelle is simply ignored. Christine leaving is a victory. Too hard to predict if Janelle will follow, hope she does. Meri too. Living awesome lives surrounded by friends and children is the revenge Kody deserves. Have fun stuck in your McMansion with Robyn and your children.

We chatted about the camper a lot last summer in this forum. I think we had knowledgeable people discuss things like potable water and waste removal. Haven't watched yet, but thought she got a bargain on it or that it wasn't completely new. Someone will remember and chime in.

Hi Auntie Freeze and welcome! We love long-time lurkers who join in. I don't disagree with you about Kody's anger. For years we have commented oh his beady shark eyes. I think Robyn has him so whipped (hate the expression, but it's the only term I can come up with) that she will not be the brunt of his anger. It'll be Janelle's and Christine's kids, especially sons. We've already seen that with Gabe and Garrison.
