I'm so lucky to have amazing parents and a small but mighty PTA, plus our school foundation awards grants, but mostly for non-consumable items. I spend more on snack items than anything else. My husband KNOWS not to comment on the grocery receipts. Hungry kids can't learn. Sigh. I love this show, lots of real education topics. Their lunches are way too long though. Most elementary teachers barely have enough time to throw down some food and use the bathroom. Visiting another school or a trip to get nails done (last season)- no way.

Two different women named Michelle Williams. One actress played on Dawson's Creek (White) and has done other film work. Second (Black) was in the group Destiny's Child and has been successful in musicals.

Sad to say, but many teachers at my site spend their own money on wipes, hand sanitizer, basic supplies like tape, scissors, staplers, pens, etc. Not to mention snacks for hungry kids. There's a old saying, Teaching is the only profession where employees take supplies from home to work. Yep.

The cold open was amazing! Barbara getting all the names mixed up. The Office had a lot of great cold opens as did Parks and Rec. Great job show. I called it that the blonde teacher was Melissa's sister!

S10.E08: A Big Fat Wedding -- But Not Mine
BAForever replied to PrincessPurrsALot's topic in My Big Fat Fabulous Life
Just finished the show, a few thoughts. The wedding venue was lovely and nice weather. Jessica and Will's dance was ♥️. So much emotion. Really worried about his health, wonder if Jess was too. Jess is prettier more natural IMO, but maybe since she is in gym gear all day, the dress up was what she wanted. Whit, Glenn, Babs and Hunter looked nice. One time I saw Glenn looking at Babs and I think I read his mind. He was thinking "are either of MY kids going to get married?" Several times Whit looked very genuine. During the ceremony, with Babs before the wedding and at the reception. It looked like a wonderful day. -
Loving this season. Kody's befuddlement (never get to use that word) over his relationship with Christine is gold. And Robyn's lies are growing bolder. So proud of Christine for recognizing the benefits of Ysabel moving away. Perhaps that wisdom was gotten from watching Robyn's children and their lack of independence leaving the nest.

Kody Brown: The Man Who Survived a KNIFE to the KIDNEYS!
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Reason #3267 why I hate Kody- he refers to HIS children who are disobeying him as "Janelle's kids" or "Christine's kids". So wrong. No doubt battle lines have been drawn. It's Robyn, Kody and their 5 vs Janelle and Christine and their kids. Meri is person non grata and Leon is wisely staying out of the fray. -
Families move all the time for jobs, military commitments, extended family reasons, etc. What galls me the most is the move to Flag wasn't for any important reason other than Robyn wanting to helicopter mom Dayun and Kody bowing to her demands. Janelle should have said "I'll meet you after Gabe's senior year." Both Kody and Janelle are to blame.

Yes! Thought the same thing. Ben Wyatt was the only one who didn't get Little Sebastian.

Oh, staff development to start the year. All elementary teachers want is to be in their room working not going to meetings, workshops, playing games, etc. Gregory, listen to Barbara. She will steer you right. Melissa, sad I think we are going to see you overwhelmed this year. Janine, wish my sons had you as a teacher. Your teacher heart is amazing. Ava, love you in small doses. Jacob, am certain Abbott is a Title 1 school (percentage of students who qualify for free/reduced meals). You can get some college debt forgiveness teaching at a Title school. Glad this show is back. Its a good take on the teacher I aspire to be.

S10.E07: Hand-Fed Bananas

Yes to the Stitch Fix clothes. Plus, the clothes she wore in the Wal-Mart commercial were cute, covered her well, were flattering and inexpensive. I think she has simply given up. -
All Episodes Talk: Small World, Big Lives
BAForever replied to NewOrleansLady's topic in Little People Big World
Sorry Chenoa33. I discovered this gem of a show very recently. After a few weeks I just HAVE to comment. Since all of you have seen this sh****** ages ago, I just try to briefly comment. -

Up to S10. Jer is off to college, Amy wants to do a cookbook, Zach is failing to launch. Matt wants to buy the farm next door. No idea what Molly and Jacob are up to. Amy is no cook. She tastes cooking food in a pot from a spoon, then stirs with same spoon (company is coming, not just feeding her fam). And she tells Matt the food is nutritional. I would have used the word nutritious. And the clutter- the whole fam is heading to Santa Barbara to check out Jer's college, and the house is trashed as they are heading out the door. -
Robyn Brown: She wanted the family, but got stuck with the man.
BAForever replied to Rhondinella's topic in Sister Wives
Totally agree. Janelle, the oldest kids (Logan, Maddie, Hunter, Myketli and Aspyn) all had more day-to-day care as children by Christine than Janelle. Sounds like Gabe and Garrison feel the same. Those kids remember their childhood and who was there for them. Kody is gonna be left with Maddie, Dayun, Aurora-Brianna, Sol and Binky-mouth. Christine will revel in grandparenthood. -
Finally watched! It's my reward for surviving another workweek. So proud of Christine! She didn't really lay blame just spoke from her heart and stayed controlled and on point the entire time period. She was rational and calm. She HAS to have had help/support with counseling in order to handle herself so well I'm guessing. Good for her. @the-grey-lady, you rock!

Hope you are right GeeGolly. I'm jaded, I think she's got some new Rice Krispy recipe or a new product to shill.

What does this mean? A. It's too hard to parent him due to your lack of rest B. He's so "stinking cute", you are overwhelmed with love Tori, you are allegedly an educated person. Clarify
-
Why post such a bad picture of Josiah, Tori?
-
This whole thing has nothing to do with covid. Garrison and Gabe get that. Kody can't stand that his kids are smarter than he. Wait, I guess they are "Janelle's kids", not Kody's. Janelle, you deserve better than adequate. Ditch him like Christine did. You and your kids deserve better.

Up to twins getting drivers' licenses. They had to take their drving test in Amy's white mini van. When I had to do that with my sons, we were notified in advance that car being driven must be clean on inside. My DMV would not have allowed their instructor in that car. Also Molly's 14th birthday. The vacuum is in the living room as they are opening gifts. My mind still boggles at the clutter I see in the house. -
Haven't watched yet, but a few questions. Did Robyn ever help with Christine or Janelle's kids? I realize their kids are older, but still.... Also, Christine knows it's over. She talked about Robyn being favored. GIVE EXAMPLES!! The secret nanny, why the move to Flagstaff of all places, why Robyn gets so much more house with 3 kids who are young adults and the other 2 in school? Christine, you are never going back. Stick it to the Dark Wife and Kody. 99% of us who watch the show know the score.

90DF Live Chat 3: I Gave Up Everything To Be Here
BAForever replied to Frozendiva's topic in 90 Day Fiancé
Not watching, save for end of week as my reward, but stop in for some witty snark to combat the Sunday night blues. Jenny has such thin hair. She maybe should go shorter with layers. Long hair can really age some women. What does she do in India all day? She doesn't clean or cook.... berate Sumit can't take all day, or can it? -
Am LOVING this very contrived storyline where Dawn is jealous of Jared's dad and stepmom. There's some reality to that story. I get the idea was hatched during pre-production, it's one of the better ones this season. Jared's mom (Sherry?) is the one person who is telling Dawn the truth. Belle is cute.

New episode Monday the 19th. Just saw a preview.

Still working my way thru episodes (have slowed way down, stupid job). Matt has a love/hate relationship with the farm. No doubt, it's in his blood and he sees the beauty in the land. Matt also loves to boss people around and bitch and moan. He's happiest when supervising others. Whether it's the trebuchet, repainting the twins' room, moving the church, he wants to order others and then be pissy when they don't live up to his expectations.
