Reminds me of a fabulously smart-ass nurse I worked with several years ago. She went car-shopping and ran into one of those types. The more he went on, the more she was trying to (politely, because that's how she was raised) figure out how to get away. He wrapped up his spiel with, "So, little lady, what will it take for you to make a deal with me?" She snapped, "An act of God!" and stomped off.

True, but I think he's just saying if he'd had a chance to get her to take it more seriously (by giving her a ticket), she might have stopped texting and still been alive. Sometimes teenagers need a metaphorical slap upside the head before they listen. I say that as a former teenager who definitely fit that description.

I have to confess, I can't stand "Moon River". Too old-fashioned for me, although there are other old songs I quite like, but this isn't one of them. Here's an old song I like (written mid 1800s): I find Rayvon and Clark technically good, but very boring singers. There's a spark missing there. Really, it would have! He's been on the show long enough to take that exposure and run with it. He would have gotten quite the publicity over it, too, and it would have been true to his "just telling it like it is" persona. I have little to no filter, myself, but know enough to spin it as both my greatest strength and my greatest weakness.

And it's not like any of this on the show is out of the sheer goodness of their hearts. They want a hit, the judges want money, the mentors want exposure, the singers want fame... Harry had no business being huffy on behalf of everyone not the singers, and Quentin should have been upset more quietly, instead of both of them blowing up at each other.
