  1. A team he was on won when he had to help balance something. If I'm wrong about him, I'll gladly own it. But when I see him, I'm not thinking speed, endurance and the ability to hang onto a tiny platform that starts swinging around. "I'm picking you because you remind me of my best friend." He literally got picked because he reminded Frenchie of someone else.
  2. There's plenty of people who go to the Crossfit gym I go to. It's become a social gathering for a lot of them. Maybe I'm wrong about him, but that's not a lot of muscle under that shirt.
  3. Ok, I may get crap for saying this, but picking Derek F makes no sense to me. He's gonna be a liability in most physical competitions. Tell me how horrible I am for saying it, but most of you are already thinking it.
  4. I just binged this one over the last 3 days. As a baseball fan, I friggin' loved it! Comedy gold. Azaria played the character perfectly.
  5. My wife and I REALLY enjoyed the first two seasons. The third season just felt so disjointed and random to me, but I let it go under the assumption that they were setting up for the back half of the series. I need Netflix or someone else to pick this up so I can know. For the record, don't ever be afraid to comment because other people hate something. I will die on the hill of defending the last episode of How I Met Your Mother lol
  6. I'll get blasted for this, but I like the show for what it is. Sometimes I just need something mindless to sit back and watch and this provides that. The fact that I'm an animal lover may help, but I think it's a fun watch.
  7. I hated this entire season. I found the last handful of episodes pretty difficult to get through. I felt like the Cal stuff at the end with "dead" Grace (cause really, who knows?) was just more weirdness. In a show with so many questions, they don't seem remotely interested in providing a glimpse of an answer to any of them. And I'm still completely let down that it got cancelled because my Jack Shepherd disease makes me wanna see how they can possibly tie up so many loose ends into something that makes some amount of sense. So I'm hoping it lands on Netflix because I'd like to suffer through a few more seasons.
  8. She's been in France with her father if I understood everything correctly. I guess she left him there and came home to screw up her kids' lives.
  9. I really liked the finale. I can say as someone with a teenage god-daughter, I would've probably reacted pretty similarly to how Gary did it. I'll swing by later with my thoughts on each storyline involved in the finale.
  10. It probably is. But I'm old so I didn't know there was a spelling difference LOL
  11. A follow up for anybody who really gives a crap: I met my god-daughter's friend and her companion at my god-daughter's graduation party/cookout yesterday evening. I told them I was genuinely trying to understand and that I had been told "they-bey" was acceptable. After thanking me for trying to understand, they told me that the "they-bey" term was the right choice. Otherwise, it's "companion" or "partner" and that many teen who are gender neutral feel like those terms sound too "old."
  12. Yes! Defamation of Character. I kept thinking slander but I knew that wasn't right. Thanks!
  13. Quite possibly my least favorite episode of the season. I assume it was to set stuff up for next year, but that felt like a total snooze fest to me.
  14. Without physical proof blasting him on Facebook opens her up to a long list of potential legal ramifications. Definitely not the route she should take. Why does she have to be the head chef for the restaurant to be in operation? I didn't understand this at all. Is she the only chef in the city? I didn't mean to multiquote this box and have no idea how to get rid of it. Maybe I could find a book at TARGET that could help me understand how to better use message boards ;)
  15. I didn't like the dirty look over the game, but I understand not being ready to leave Theo alone with him. Eddie is an addict who has relapsed recently. I wouldn't leave him alone with a kid either. I'm pro Gary and Maggie, so I was glad to see the Darcy thing ending. Even if I'd happily wife Maggie up myself lol Loved seeing Rome swallow his pride and agree to do the cringe-worthy commercial. Tyrell needs to hop off his high horse and accept that sometimes adults have to do jobs we hate in order to make the money we need to live. Tyrell seems to want Rome and Regina to take care of him and his "expensive sneaker habit" but I don't ever hear him mention a part time job of any kind. Sorry kid, sometimes grown ups have to do grown up things. Finally, the scene between Rome and Sophie: Oh my God! One of the better scenes I've watched on this show between two characters who rarely interact. Raw, real, emotional writing and acting. "Don't knock on my door, you knock down my door." Absolutely loved it.
  16. I'm only vaguely familiar with how it works in my state because of my wife's grandparents fighting for custody of her younger siblings. My wife's bio mother is a drug addicted POS and her grandparents fought for years to get custody of her younger siblings (now 21 and 17). They actual got arrested for kidnapping at one point for refusing to let their stoned mother drive them back to her house. There's no way any lawyer would tell them they could hold the kid, let alone in another state. I know we're supposed to sympathize with Max, but the story is just so unrealistic that it makes it hard to even care.
  17. Once again, Max managed to piss me off. "We must use these thousand vaccines before they expire! Wait, no! You can't give them to people with money! I only give a rat's ass about poor people." This character is so determined to be a savior for the downtrodden that he would rather let vaccines expire than give them to people who won't be permanently indebted to him for rescuing them from their economic/racial/sexual orientation/other minority status. Christ, he's a nuisance and continually proves to be a threat to public safety more than a trustworthy physician. I did enjoy the Martin/Izzy/Stalker thing so that was nice. I immediately picked up on the "9th and 11th" thing and knew that it was an emergency signal, but I thought it was overall well done. As far as the grandparents and this kid, what lawyer would tell them that they had a good case? You can't sue for custody because your son-in-law works too much. If so, single parents all around the country would lose their children. It's an idiotic storyline that is an insult to everyone's intelligence. I'd also like to know how nobody has pressed federal kidnapping charges on the old bitch and her idiot husband for taking the kid across state lines and telling Max he couldn't have her back.
  18. Not a huge Darcy fan, so that relationship being strained doesn't bother me much.
  19. I broke both my elbows in January of 2020 in a workplace accident. My wife was allowed to attend my first appointment with me since I couldn't drive, sign papers or open doors. However, when COVID restrictions ramped up after that, I was completely on my own. They were incredibly strict about that. She had to wait in the car
  20. No idea how true it is, but my teenage god-daughter informed me that "they-bey" is an acceptable (yet funny) term. Her bisexual friend is currently dating a classmate who refers to herself as a "they" and both of them use the term "they-bey." That's what I've been going with when talking about Tess and Alex(?). She could be playing me just to get me to say something stupid though lol Edit: For the record, I just realized I called "they" a "female." I'm still trying to learn how all this works and I'm just 33. Makes me feel even worse for the adults that Tess continually yells at whenever they slip up.
  21. Contemporary Christian Music (in general) does suck. That's why I think Willie could find so much success there. A large part of the solo male artists that get played on those stations sound identical, terrible or both. I think that Willie could stand out and really make a name for himself.
  22. If shallow posts are accepted, I'd just like to profess my love for Maggie. That's my next wife 🤣
  23. Really solid episode, IMO. People can say whatever they want about Gary's sarcastic quips (I happen to enjoy them), but he's a hell of a good friend.
  24. Exactly. I was hoping that it didn't come across like I hate Tess because of her sexuality. I'm a very "live and let live" kinda guy. Sleep with whoever you want to, love whoever you want to, but don't be an asshole about it, either. They have made Tess absolutely horrible, and they've made Beth just as bad. Tess could be conflicted, confused and even angry at times without being this snot nosed bitch that they've turned her into. I'm sorry, yelling at your family because they're adjusting to referring to a single person as a "they" is not acceptable. There's a learning curve on this sort of thing. Getting mad because your mother doesn't want you making out with someone on your bed is unacceptable. My mama woulda slapped me upside my head. Tess is a bitch and Beth is so scared of a teenager being mad at her that she'd rather kiss her ass than be a parent.
