  1. I don't like Kyland either, but I can't see any scenario where he wins. X, IMO has kept this whole thing operating. He could've won any comp he wanted to, but he knew when to fall back and helped ensure that they made it this far. He's been my guy from day one, so I'm gonna ride it out with him.
  2. So happy that we can expect Tiffany and her "I'm a bad bitch" attitude to be out of here soon. I love controversy and manipulation on my reality shows, but her false sense of superiority just irritates me to no end. I guess Kyland figured that he's returning the favor by "giving her a hand" out the door. X has played the puppet master role throughout this whole thing wonderfully. Hoping he wins. If he doesn't, I'd be good with Hannah pulling it off. Just please, please, please, ANYONE but DereF.
  3. And apparently Azah and Hannah are so boring that you forgot to even discuss them! Don't worry, most of this cast has been pretty forgettable. THANK YOU! I hate the nonstop shout outs on eviction night. Get rid of somebody and leave. Nobody cares that you said their name on TV.
  4. I guess I approached it from a statistics point of view. Alyssa was completely outnumbered, and outside of one comp had never shown that she was capable of doing anything other than being hot. I feel like most of this season (outside of a couple little "blowups" that quickly got moved on from) has been a campfire, "Kum-ba-ya" singalong. I wanna see people betray each other. I wanna see lies and deceit. That's why I watch these shows. If I wanted to watch people get along all the time, laugh and giggle, I'd go hang out at my parents' house. I watch these shows to see people do whatever it takes to get ahead and win money. This year has been sickeningly sweet overall. As long as X or Hannah ultimately wins, I don't care. As I mentioned up there, I'm so incredibly bored with all the niceness (90% of which is total horse shit) this year. I'm hoping that we at least get a full-blown Tiffany meltdown. Hell, maybe they'll decide to vote out DereF and he'll show us how "dangerous his mouth is." There's finally potential for some interesting interactions about who's getting the axe.
  5. I kinda figured she was just pouting that Julie didn't just hand her the competition.
  6. There wasn't much doubt they were gonna pull it off when the last two comps (HoH and Veto) relied heavily on mental capabilities. Alyssa is too dumb to understand that being called dim is an insult...I don't think we had anything to be nervous about. At least we'll get about 3 weeks of exciting gameplay. Watching them all turn on each other and go for the throat should be enjoyable.
  7. Alyssa had to win one of those to be around next week. She gone. Oh well. Go X! I'd also be OK with Hannah winning. I can't stand any of the other 4 though.
  8. Pure class from Claire. I would expect nothing less. No need for all the phony weeping and "I love you" crap at the door.
  9. Can't imagine that there isn't a season 24. Even though ratings for this season are lower than last year, ratings are still pretty good overall. As someone mentioned up there ^^^, the show isn't expensive to make and taking up 3 hours a week during the summer is incredibly valuable.
  10. If X somehow orchestrates a move that keeps his +1 safe for a longer period of time than initially planned, it will further cement him as one of my favorite houseguests. I'm also in favor of anything that gets any combination of Tiffany/DereF/Ky off my screen as soon as possible.
  11. I got you. I thought you were dismissing A, which can easily be applied to the CO.
  12. By all means, it's fine to speak from your own experiences. Hell, my wife has relatives who won't speak to her because she married a white guy. If my grandfather was alive, I'm sure he would object to my being married to a black woman. I was simply pointing to the fact that I obviously don't have issues with African Americans. I do find the point that my "discomfort" with their mission should make me feel a certain way about the alliance a bit presumptuous. However, I too can read too much into the written word. I'm not sure you were actually trying to tell me how I should feel and what I should think, so I won't respond as such. My wife pegged the CO as racist on the episode where the rolled the idea out. While I have my own feelings on topics, I generally take her opinion into deeper consideration on things like this.
  13. Alright. I was being genuine when I said that I didn't know if you purposely left the other definition out. Obviously, none of us know each other, so we don't know the intent of posts on a forum like this.
  14. Not sure if you purposely ignored the other definition or "racism" from Webster's Dictionary or if it just didn't come up in your Google search like it did mine. Either way, I believe if we're going to use definitions, we should use all of the available ones (except for a Wikipedia definition that carries less than zero credibility). Per Webster's Dictionary: rac·ism /ˈrāˌsizəm/ Learn to pronounce noun prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against a person or people on the basis of their membership in a particular racial or ethnic group, typically one that is a minority or marginalized. "a program to combat racism" I know several people will point to the last part that says "typically one that is a minority or marginalized," but "typically" doesn't mean "always." X is my favorite houseguest this year, and I've mentioned multiple times on here how Azah (as annoying as she is) looks very similar to my wife. So before I get roasted for being a "closet bigot" or whatever else we're gonna call anyone who calls the Cookout racist, according to that definition, the term could definitely apply.
  15. Eh I disagree. Annoying people have been kicked out, but there are still plenty more. Can't stand Azah, Tiffany or Alyssa. And I've been on record more than once as saying that DereF is potentially my least favorite houseguest of all time. I'm watching this thing through because my wife and I watch it every year. But God have mercy, this one ending feels like putting me out of my own misery. If we could double evict every week to speed this mess up, that'd be great.
  16. I can't wait for this season to end. Not only has it been largely boring, but several off the HGs have been so incredibly annoying that I find myself truly disliking them as people. Additionally, all the arguing about the CO on every platform known to man will finally go away. Go X. And to hell with everybody else.
  17. I keep hearing/reading about how David got screwed, but no one can tell me how. Didn't he lose a competition, setting himself up to be picked off?
  18. I just got around to watching this one during the Sunday marathon CNBC is running today. I missed the original airing, and now I wish I had missed the repeat. Thomas was an absolute dildo (hopefully that term's allowed here). The new girlfriend was a twat (I'm trying to be nice) who had no say in anything but somehow inserted herself constantly. What did we learn from this episode? That you can be an average (at best) looking guy with a horrible personality and can still pick up women because they're attracted to guys who own struggling pizza shops. Jesus.
  19. People overvalue their own businesses in the same way people overvalue their own homes. I'm a real estate agent and when people want to list their home for sale, they usually think their home is worth around twice as much as it actually is. When I do a listing consultation, I look at all the facts about the home and comparable sells. 90% of the time, my valuation of their home is nowhere near as high as theirs. I think people view their businesses the same way.
  20. He's an idiot. I truly don't think there's any risk of him winning a mental comp. When I saw those discs, I started cracking up. That poor thing was giving it everything it had right there.
  21. I couldn't believe he held on as long as he did. I got told week one that I was being unfair by saying he would never do well in an endurance comp. Gah, I LOVE being right.
  22. Big D: I know I can debate and argue with anyone and win. My mouth is dangerous! Also Big D: I gladly to evote, Sara Beth. He thinks his mouth is dangerous, but biggun is too frickin’ stupid to say four words coherently. God, I can't wait for them to send Sleepy D out of there. Could be my least favorite houseguest ever. I will say, I didn’t expect him to make it more than 30 seconds on the swinging rope. Guess I underestimated him?
  23. I kept going back and forth between feeling sympathetic for Jeremy and finding him horribly annoying. Overall, I hope he gets it figured out.
  24. Ahh yes, we're in season three and Kim and Barry are still horrible, manipulative people who do nothing but try to control the way their children do everything. I've said it before and I'll continue to say it: if Kim is so against all sugary, processed foods, she should probably be thinner by now. Seems like Mama Bear isn't practicing what she preaches, but in families like that, I would expect hypocrisy. As far as the bashing of Olivia for "controlling" Ethan, I think he's probably so stunted that someone has to think for him. Hell, the first time he took a drink of Coke, he giggled like a 12 year old boy who had just seen boobies for the first time. Is Olivia mean? Probably a little. Do I blame her? Not at all.
