  1. Oh I don't think Robyn had secret credit cards or did a lot of shopping. Let's be honest: Victoria's Secret purchases are as much for the guy as for the woman who wears it😉 I just meant that I suspect she had the cards/loans in her own name which is why she still had them after the divorce. Not because she so kindly and lovingly (or ignorantly) took them from him as she wants us to believe. Robyn doesn't do nice or anything at all for that matter unless she actually gets better from it, not worse. So it would definitely go against her nature to relieve ex-hubby of those debts.
  2. When it comes to their previous financial situation, we only have Robyn’s account which happens to be very favourable about herself again. She said she offered to take all the debts after their divorce (when she tried to qualify for her mortgage and had to explain all het debts and credit cards in 4 different names!) I always found that story unbelievable. It’s just stupid to just let your ex off the hook after a divorce and take all responsibility for a huge debt, particularly if you have to provide for your kids like Robyn. It just doesn’t make sense. She said it was easier to do it like that back then. Really?? Her life became hugely complicated for years to come because of that. A more likely scenario is that all loans and cards were just in Robyn’s name. In such cases, Jessop would have been under no obligation to pay for his ex’s debts. (Per common law. . And whether that’s fair is not the point of my post. I guess it also depends on whether he knew she had them and why she got them…) If true, it’s interesting to note that it does fit Robyn’s modus operandi of depicting herself as a saintly victim (graciously accepting huge debts because her ex wouldn’t pay for them)
  3. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-11529163/Inside-twists-turns-polygamist-Sister-Wives-star-Kody-Brown-wife-leaves-him.html Ha, the Browns have made headlines in Europe too! That's pretty interesting as I can't remember many instances where they actually made headiness over here. It's just the gossip websites and magazines that occasionally mention them, if at all. But there you go....the news is out in the open internationally as well. Edited to add: Hadn't seen Sunny's post who mentioned the article a few hours back. But there's still the fact that it's "big" news over here 😉
  4. One thought regarding the (possible) adoption by Kody of Robyn's kids that keeps popping into my head: Would a judge take the family's reality show into consideration when deciding upon the adoption? In all fairness, such an environment is not ideal to grow up in with your life so fully exposed. Especially when it involves minors who have little or no say in what happens and definitely cannot oversee all (future) consequences of living in the spotlight. And I haven't even mentioned the fact that it is a funny family that divides public opinion in more ways than one. And a family that has openly admitted to using the system to keep going (food stamps, going bankrupt etc) I can see how a very conservative judge could have some problems with taking custody from what seems to be a fairly normal American, to grant it to KodoucheKotex. But that may be me... It may be far fetched but we have often commented about the Browns 'milking' situations for more drama and another story line.
  5. Wouldn't surprise me at all. With Meri they can still pretend they're a polygamous family, without actually having to put up with a sister wife. She knows Kody doesn't want Meri in his life, so she's a very safe choice to keep around for show purposes.
  6. Iirc Leon even said “I wish she’d just say she made a mistake/was wrong.” That would definitely have changed things. But that’s Meri…. (And Kody too for that matter) it’s always somebody else’s fault. You can’t argue with such people. And quite a few long standing feuds or damaged relationships have begun with situations like this. The person who made the mistake failing to admit so or to say they’re sorry. That’s the first step towards forgiveness.

    Mykelti

Conceiving twins isn’t that special; a lot of single pregnancies actually start of as twin pregnancies but often one stops developing/dies at a very early stage. Losing blood in the early stages could be an indication as are certain anomalies on scans. But most people never know. I read somewhere Mykelti had an emergency section ? Not buying the breeched story as a reason. They would have know the positions of the babies. In such cases, a section is almost always planned as it is very hard to turn twins. And since both Robyn and Christine were there and had time to pose with Tony in an OR coverall, it’s clear they had plenty of time. An emergency section means one thing: “The baby needs to come out now!” It means dropping everything and fast-tracking you into the first available OR. No fun and quite scary. So either it’s adding a bit more Brown-drama as usual or something else happened which required immediate action.
  8. Yup, Garrison did speak up every now and then. Never said he was silent, but compared to Gabe he seems to be the more introvert, quieter person. Gabe is more emotional and outspoken of his feelings. (And right so) So glad some of the kids do actually counter their dad. Not that I generally approve of this behaviour but Kotex’s behaviour asks for it. He fully deserves to be told off.
  9. Garrison is by far more quiet than Gabe, though I agree Gabe is the most emotional of the boys.He has always voiced his anger and grief. The other boys never did so. But I totally agree on them disassociating themselves from him. I also fully agree on families being complicated. You’re bound by DNA and often a feeling of owing your parents for raising you. Parents often feel they can claim their kids’ allegiance because of this. In reality, it doesn’t work that way. Yes, it’s family but respect and unconditional love is earned, not simply given just because…
  10. My 11-year-old just walked by, saw that picture, backtracked and said “mom are you looking up pinkvibrators for Christmas presents”? I nearly chocked on my drink! Where the heck did he get that wisdom from?? He’s eleven years old!! Not sure how I’m feeling now: shocked? Amused? Embarrassed?
  11. Out of where exactly? They haven’t had a shared household since Vegas and he barely sees her. Frankly, not Kody’s approach but that whole article about Meri’s ideas of their obviously non-existing relationship is disturbing. There’s no shared household, Kody has said several times there’s nothing left and he totally ignores her. On top, Kody has also said that he doesn’t see a future for them and definitely doesn’t want to work on it. Like it or not, but he does have that right. If you ask me, he’s been very, very clear about it. The only thing in her defence is the show where he still pretends to be married to three wives. But that bit is limited to the intro only if you ask me.
  12. Re. Janelle leaving: Which is why I said “the internet is buzzing with rumors.” I haven’t taken it as fact, nor will I until it is proven right. I did do some speculation on her financial challenges if it were true. What problems would she face then? I’d like to add though, that I got this from In Touch, not necessarily the most reliable source on the planet! Which is why I called it rumors. The Sun actually came a bit late to this show. The story came out hours before the Sun reported it, which is indeed as reliable as the weather forecast😜
  13. Apparently, such rapid eye movements are linked to your brain working like crazy to retrieve memories. It is also claimed that it is a giveaway for people telling lies, though not everyone agrees with that. I do find that theory very plausible though: if you tell too many lies, you will get caught in your own web of lies. Simply because you have to remember all lies for facts that did not happen. And then you need to reproduce those ‘facts’ at unexpected moments, making sure you do not say that contradicts previous things you said. It does sound a lot like Kody and Robyn Brown come to think of it….
  14. The internet is buzzing with rumours that Janelle’s left Kody too. Please…let it be true! My only concern is her financial state. Let’s hope she manages to salvage some of the profit of her LV house. I don’t think it’s going to be an easy fight. When Christine was planning to sell her house, Kody was under the impression that she’d pour the money straight back into Coyote Pass and it came as a big shock when she refused. Iirc, Janelle explained some stuff regarding their finances in a recent episode and she alleged that there was a decent amount of money in the bank. Part of her frustration came from the fact that both Robyn and Christine were allowed to use family money to buy property, but Kody would not extend that right to her…. She still owns a decent piece of the CP land together with Kody, but I doubt it’s easy to sell without any basic amenities in place. And because they never sorted that out, it is probably going to be too expensive for Janelle to start building alone. Kody might want it, but he’d probably need yet another loan to pull that off. (And with all the mortgages and loans in place for CP and the mansion….good luck!)
  15. I recall more physical confrontations, particularly among the boys in earlier seasons. One notorious incident was where one boy hit another (Gabe?) in the face and caused a nose bleed. Here too, Meri was the one who immediately reacted, which was only fair. Janelle usually had this “whatever…approach” and seemed to simply let them be. As for Gwen and Paedon. No idea what happened between them. But Gwen has always been quirky one, speaking before thinking. She also seemed unaware if any offence was taken from what she said. Add to that Paedon’s rather explosive character and inflexibility… I can totally see why this went wrong. (Not saying this to excuse Paedon’s actions btw!)
  16. Ah, I got it! His rants when he doesn’t get what he wants are finally making sense: Kody is in his terrible two’s……
  17. I'll probably never understand how you can be so afraid of Covid, enforce strict isolation upon your family, lock out all family and friends, condemn everyone who doesn't agree with your rules but fail to do the one thing that could keep you and your family safe?? I'd be first in line for my vaccination if I had Kody's immense fear to catch Covid. And the family members that were so vigorously attacked and accused by Kody for not taking Covid and his protocol serious, turn out to be the ones who actually got the vaccinations. And King Kotex and the Dark Queen did not... (I suspect their kids didn't get it either) Now why would that be? Any thoughts?
  18. This! And in one episode (when they lived in Vegas) Kody mentioned something about Robyn having to drive to Montana to drop off the kids so they could spend the summer with their dad. So, something is clearly not adding up here. And if you listen closely to what Robyn said over the years, it is very obvious she thrashes her ex constantly, making Kody the big Hero-dad. She just does it in the typical Robyn-stealth like manner. It's subtle, you don't notice it unless you pay attention to it. And the "adoption scene": It was discussed at length back then and most posters felt that something was 'off" Was it acting? Maybe. I certainly didn't get the official formal courtroom vibe....Also, there was some discussion as to whether any judge would indeed allow a reality show to film.
  19. Ah I wouldn't worry too much about them making money as they burn through it with the speed of light. It's probably going to add to the fun their misery as Kody is bound to make more stupid financial decisions and count himself a lot richer than he actually is.
  20. A few words on Mr Jessop here: I think it's very important to note that we know next to nothing about him. He's always been happy to lead his life away from his ex-witch-wife and not seeking the limelight, despite all the nasty claims she made about him on national tv. (If it were true, the kids wouldn't have spent a lot of time with their bio dad in the past!) Mr Jessop could have sued Robyn and the show for slander but he didn't. He never told his side of the story, nor contradicted any of it. That leads me to believe that he either doesn't care or doesn't want to for whatever reason. Not everyone 'likes' to go to court, no matter how big the rewards could be. Taking all this into account, it seems highly unlikely that he would sue them or TLC for telling lies about the adoption. It could have been real, but I doubt it. We have some amazing sleuths out here and none have ever found any legal evidence of this happening. But... it could be that the three children had their name legally changed to Brown, which was then passed off as a so-called adoption. It can be done, even if a parent objects, and it will be granted if it is in the child's best interest. In this case we had one huge family and they literally stood out for having a different last name. (and lots of kids take on the name of their step dad) But this bit is pure speculation from my side. As for TLC or Discovery: they produce a lot of reality tv and it wouldn't be the first time where they got into serious trouble because they forgot to properly check and 'vet' their stars or storylines. (Think about the Willis family, Josh Duggar and all the previous convictions and known drug and alcohol abuse of the Deadliest Catch stars, just to name a few) In such cases, they simply cancel said individual, or the entire show if they have no other option.
  21. Nevada and Utah were probably the most logical states for the older kids to settle. They lived in Utah for a long time, so it must really have felt like home to them. Then they had their formative teen-years in Nevada where they started to build their own lives with their own friends. So it makes sense to stay there or go back to. iirc, Maddie went to North Carolina because of Caleb. Not sure why Leon and Audrey ended up in Denver. My gut feeling tells me that their wandering about is part of their journey to figure out who they are and where they want to be. Garrisson’s decision to settle in Flagstaff has always amazed me. He was 20 when they left LV and I always thought he’d stay behind or move to Utah. Kody’s claim that Flagstaff would be the place all the kids would call home and potentially settle, always baffled me. Why? There was nothing that bound the older kids to that place.
  22. My poor grandmothers had 11 and 12 kids in 14 and 15 years time… It wasn’t really a choice back then. My maternal grandparents even had lengthy talks with the Pastor about their duty to bring children into this world! (They were staunch Roman Catholics in the 1940s) A lot of fundamental Christians or mormons seem to have similar beliefs, which is why Janelle and Christine had so many I guess. IChristine must have been very aware of how unhappy she was and how Kody sucked as a husband and dad. But being raised conditioned like she was, there was no way she could ever admit that. I always found her “too cheerful” and “too enthusiastic” in the first few seasons. I can clearly remember thinking back then “Christine you are a terrible liar! You’re not as happy and cheerful as you pretend to be.”
  23. The one good thing I can see with this potential scenario: At least it would force the eldest three to spread their wings and fly since there’s no room in Janelle’s Robyn’s RV to house 7 people…. It would be good for them to get away from their mom’s toxic and suffocating hold. And yes, Dayton may (or may not) need some assistance finding his feet but I am 100% convinced he’s up to way more, if only his mom let him.
  24. Taken from Christine’s thread: Robyn seems to be the one expressing this anxious behaviour all the time. It only makes sense this is projected on the kids and you can expect them to copy it too. Robyn’s anxiety seems to be getting worse though. Not sure why, though it wouldn’t surprise me if Kody’s constant frantic presence is to blame, as well as the family issues and the general stress surrounding the pandemic. She likes to be in control and she’s not.
