  1. https://mysisterwifescloset.com/collections/all?page=1 The link still works and you can click away the purple we'll be back soon pop up and scroll through it. It's a rather strange collection of stuff that is usually sold cheap at markets, fairs etc. But they charge a lot for it.
  2. In addition to procrasstinator’s list of concrete things that Robyn did to Janelle and Christine (and Meri): Getting married in private when knowing full well that all wives wanted to be present for that. keeping this a SECRET (again!) because it was no big deal (she said) Not kicking Kody’s ass straight back to Christine when Truely was so sick but again claiming him to herself because she so desperately needed him. Being behind the last big uproot to relocate everyone to Flagstaff. Making others work to pay off her loans whereas she did nothing to pay toward those significant debts. (Apart from prancing in front of the camera.)
  3. In the early days, Janelle sorted out the finances for the entire family. Money at the time was tight and the family struggled on occasion. She felt responsible for everyone. She knew another wife would drain their finances even more. And then Kody managed to find one who had 3 kids in tow, no money in the bank, a shitload of debt and no ambition to work whatsoever. Robyn had every reason to be “afraid” of Janelle and was lucky that Janelle was too kind to actively call her out on that or even veto the decision to take her in. I think Robyn was smart enough to realise she needed more to secure her position. Sol helped a lot, but there was nothing better than becoming the legal wife and make Kody 200% dependent of her emotionally (and more…) He has always been madly in love with her, but we have all seen how she tightened her grip on him over the past few years.
  4. Yes he should shave it off. This hair, or what's left of it, is just ridiculous. He probably thinks that he is cleverly hiding the fact that he is going bald. Nobody is going to notice it and it the hair makes him look even more amazing! (NOT)
  5. And the lies are becoming more vicious and out in the open because Robyn realises she may now stand a chance to lose it all. With both Meri and Janelle out too, the end to Sister Wives is near, as there aren't any Sister Wifes left. Without the show, there is no pay check and no name exposure. And that celebrity status and name exposure will usually generate a lot more interest and cash in any other business. And yes, there are rumours Kody is not doing bad with his gun business, but I doubt that will be enough to fund their lavish lifestyle. Especially because they seem to have taken whatever equity they had in that mansion in the forms of those Helocs and extra loans. I think Robyn was perfectly fine with the situation as it was until a year ago. The wives scattered all over Flagstaff, with little or no contact. She could at least still keep up the appearance of being married with sister wives without actually having any of the negatives such as sharing your husband and have the other wives around a lot.
  6. Yes, I totally see what you mean here. It made me feel uncomfortable too and I agree she pushed things too far, probably because she hoped, against all odds, that they would all part amicably which could have opened doors for the future. But, I do stand by my assessment of her personal growth as a person and how she handles things way more maturely than any of her parents and sister wife moms. She was the only one who tried to balance everybody's feelings, careful not to choose sides, tried to please everyone and give everybody a chance to say their goodbyes. Most people in that family bear Christine no ill will and understand perfectly well why she wanted out. Letting Christine sneak out like a thief in the middle of the night would be all wrong and unfair to them. But yeah, she should have left Kody and Robyn out. And definitely mini-Robyn 1 and 2. I'm still appalled by the murderous looks on their faces and the utter contempt they showed toward Christine. The presence of the Robyn Clan destroyed everything she was hoping to achieve.
  7. We know Christine has clung onto the older kids before, particularly on Aspyn. She seemed “to have unintentionally used” the older girls to fill in a void; the lack of a partner to raise the kids with and could also be your friend and confidant. Aspyn married and managed to create some literal distance between them. Mykelti has now taken that place. Christine still feels that emotional emptiness. A thing I noted during this season is Mykelti’s remarkable personal growth. She’s gone from quirky, slightly stand-offish and a little self-centered to a mature woman who is aware of other people’s feelings and sorted out mom’s mess and moved her back to Utah. I think she knows Christine really well and is very aware of her flaws and the tendency to cling too much to her kids. Good for her to draw a line and sets some boundaries. I’m sure she’d otherwise end up with Christine being there every single day….
  8. In the spoiler and SM thread there was some speculation on whether Robyn was the cause for the falling apart of the marriages a few days back. Was she indeed? Or was it the reality show that knocked on their doors? I believe this being the case, with Robyn just being the catalyst that sped up their path to ultimate doom within that same show. Without the show, they would likely still be unhappily stuck in their big house in Lehi, ensconced within the “safe”and clingy environment of their polygamous community that dictates every move. There are a lot of unhappy marriages in (strict) religious communities and they generally don’t do divorces for that unless it’s an absolute hopeless case. They would have been told to suck it up and deal with it and be the best mom and grandmom to their own kids. And the kids would all have been doomed down the plyg path, including Leon and Gwen…. Not sure where this scenario would have left Robyn if she had indeed married. Maybe in an annex to the big house with Kody spending more/all time there like he does now. But from what I gathered from these marriages that often happens.
  9. I think we’re forgetting something very simple when it comes to Kody:He is the product of (part of) his upbringing and his own delusional lifestyle. Any man that calls the shots on 4 wives with an ever growing brood of kids and is famous (albeit D-list), will develop some god-like traits. Especially if the 4 wives shape their lives around his needs and wishes, no matter how stupid or delusional these are. And he could simply drag all those kids along. In his mind, he was this God-like creature with not 1 wife with 2 kids, but no less than 4 that kept pushing out babies to keep him happy. I can see where this inflated ego comes from. He was King of his Kingdom. His erratic behaviour has dramatically increased over the past few years. And it coincidentally increased with his Kingdom falling apart (kids moving away, kids and wives questioning his motives and ideas, wives deserting him) He’s losing control and his God-like status and he cannot control it anymore.
  10. Yet she had no such issues when she was pregnant with Evie... So it's my guess that she doesn't want to go back to this specific birth center and sees no options to safely have this baby at home. Don't know about regulations in NC though a quick google search taught me it can be difficult indeed. Also, home births are usually only considered when there is every reason to expect a normal, uncomplicated birth, so most experienced midwives will probably be reluctant to take her on for a homebirth anyways. Maybe she has finally realised that hospitals can be a "good" place to be after what happened to Evie and all the extra care she has needed so far. It may have cured her from her initial discomfort and mistrust. Hopefully, Caleb has a decent health insurance in place for his family. I don't particularly like Maddie, but I sure hope that she finally has a chance to experience a 'normal' uncomplicated and rather fast delivery, ideally with some good pain relief. PS that picture of her at 30 weeks... she looked great but I do feel sorry for her: that baby bump is HUGE! And the hardest weeks are yet to come...
  11. I re read their book not too long ago and you are right in your assumption of not being head over heels in love. Janelle was previously married to Meri's brother Adam. So she knew Kody and Meri, the family and their lifestyle pretty well. They kept in touch after her divorce and the book implies that Meri and Kody sort of felt responsible for her and stayed in touch. It seems that for both Janelle and Kody, their spiritual marriage was more of a convenience marriage than a romantic or passionate relationship. Janelle said that she was in love with the lifestyle and got along with Kody really well. Basically the same goes for Kody who wanted a 2nd wife. Kody did call her "extremely attractive' at one point in the book and Janelle called him handsome, but that's about as romantic as it would get. They only talk about a spiritual connection, buddies, destiny, etc. Kody also said that Janelle was the only one with whom he could have long interesting conversations on a wide range of topics. (I presume that this was the pre-Robyn era) Hope this bit from the book helps...
  12. Awesome, if she does, I'll let you do the reading and wait for the recap! 😁
  13. He told her he didn't love her anymore He told her he didn't miss her He told her he saw her maybe twice a year He told her he felt they weren't in a relationship anymore He told her that he didn't consider himself married to her anymore He told her to move to Parowan And there were a few other phrases like that along the way too. How much clearer does it have to become? It's not so much a problem on communication from Kody's part; it's a matter of understanding on Meri's... Each and everyone of us would have gotten the message and packed up a long time ago. Then why does she stay? Apart from the dollars from TLC, I suspect that she convinced herself a long time ago that this relationship could, and would, be mended over time. Strange? Definitely! But it does fit Meri's delusional reasoning and talking. All she posts on SM have nothing to do with the real world and what is going on. She clearly lives in her own delusional bubble with her own truths.
  14. As much as I agree with what you are saying, we're talking about an idiot here who doesn't know the meaning of the words sympathy and empathy. There is no way he would understand how his actions upset other people. There is only one true vision of the world and what is going on, and that is his vision. So, unfortunately, it's going to be pointless to ask him to reflect on his behaviour towards others. You'll just get the same angry and accusative reply.
  15. Wow, I hadn't thought about that, but they could very well be onto something! In my previous job I had several bodybuilder colleagues. They all used hormones/steroids and all went through a significant change in behaviour when using that stuff! Most notably aggression and explosive reactions, mood swings and some expressed manic behaviour. It does sound a bit like Kody come to think of it. (And it can cause hair loss!) We know Kody was into training and weightlifting (or so he wanted us to believe) and he is stupid enough to want a quick result by using this stuff and to focus on a few limited areas (shoulders, arms, legs) and ignore others, which could explain that belly that seems to be growing for all the wrong reasons.
  16. Yes both Maddie and Mykelti were not accepted because of the show, or so it was said. It's interesting to note that Garrison was accepted though... Why was that? I suspect that the kids were asked to distance themselves from Kody and his polygamous lifestyle. Mykelti and Maddie seem to have a fairly good relationship with Kody and I doubt they'd comply with such a request. Garrison doesn't have such an emotional bond (or so it seems)and it wouldn't surprise me if he was happy to do whatever he needed to do to join that faith. He also seems more religious than the other two based on some of his SM posts and calling the LDS being the one true faith.
  17. Ok, I fully understand that lots of things are on record and that you can’t (always) outrun your past forever. So, you’d assume that each and every bank, credit card company or money lender does a decent check on their client’s past, even if it’s across state borders. (And taxes and such of course) But in the Brown family case, it’s clear that most didn’t, or failed to unearth all relevant info when providing them with all those loans and mortgages they got over the years. They are a pretty big liability financially. Just in a few instances companies did check; we came across Robyn with all her credit cards and loans in 4 different names (how did she do that?) and I think Christine who struggled to qualify for her mortgage. Both qualified in the end, but probably against a higher interest or other terms and conditions. So, just from this family’s past, it seems worth it to at least try and cover some distance and state boarders and start all over again.
  18. It will be interesting to find out how Janelle gets out of this financial mess... We know Kody hates parting with money, firmly believing that everything belongs to him and Robyn. Not that there is a lot probably. And I'm also quite confident that he feels no guilt or obligation towards Janelle for wasting her inheritance and retirement funds as she was part of the family and she "benefited" from using that money too. (trying to explain Kody's brain farts here) Janelle fortunately owns a piece of Coyote Pass, so that may represent something. She alleged on the show that there is a a decent sum of money in the bank, if that is indeed the case let's hope the account is in her name too, as her 'marriage' to Kody legally entitles her to nothing at all.
  19. I have wondered whether their "state-hopping" had something to do with avoiding debtors, pending inquiries from local authorities or charities etc. I don't know that many people (apart from diplomats and the military) that dragged their families through 5 states (Utah, Wyoming, Montana, Nevada and Arizona) in 25-30 years and I haven't included the fact that they moved back to Utah and Wyoming at least twice. We know Kotex's love for uprooting and upsetting his family by moving them within a very short notice. There has never been a good and plausible reason for causing that mess (not counting the fake-escape from Lehi as we all know it was orchestrated)So it could very well be that they were indeed on the run for somebody or something.... No real proof for this assumption btw, other than those sudden and frequent moves across states, their disastrous financial history and them "using" the system to claim as much benefits like food stamps as they possibly could.
  20. Janelle seems genuinely happy in Flagstaff so she might stay. But she’s lived in many places and seems able to build a home wherever she is. I guess it’ll depend on what her youngest three will do in the future. Garrison bought a house in Flagstaff and he seems to have settled well. If Savanah and Gabe also remain local, she may stay there too. It’s probably the best place for her. Janelle isn’t as attracted to Utah as Christine and doesn’t have her kids there either. So there’s no reason to go there for her.
  21. I struggle to get through the recent SW episodes, because of Kody's awful rants and accusation. So, today I got to watch "The Worst Goodbye" and I was intrigued by Aurora and Breanna when they came to say goodbye to Christine. Those girls...the looks on their faces weren't pretty. There was no such thing as grief. It was utter contempt and anger. Why? They weren't close to Christine and had seen next to nothing of her the past few years. It's my guess that Robyn poured an immense shitload of poison down their ears: That Christine left because she was jealous of them, that Christine couldn't stand them and wanted them to leave and Kody said no. That's the only explanation for such hatred I can think of which is also plausible. Robyn did this before: When the others wouldn't adhere to their stupid Covid regime, she told the girls that the family couldn't be bothered to suffer a little to see them, so the family obviously didn't care for them. Robyn is definitely sick enough to set up her own kids to suit her own agenda.
  22. I know some kids don't mind it. My kids hated it though, which is why we do everything we can to not uproot them again, even if it means that dad temporarily only spends weekends with us... Though I will say that most kids adapt and rebuild their lives after a move. But we just don't want to put them through it again for the foreseeable future. From the footage we were shown on SW it was quite obvious the kids hated every move. The kids' reaction when told about the move from Lehi to Las Vegas was heart-breaking. And the chaotic move, and house-hopping before eventually settling down, didn't help either. One of Janelle's boys took forever to adjust (Hunter?) And I'll never forget Gabe's devastated look when he had to give up everything he had in Las Vegas to start again in Flag Staff....
  23. Is this (hopefully*) the end of the infamous Sister Wives saga? Why else would Kody now publicly give up on Janelle and Meri? If there was a chance for another season aka TLC pay check, he wouldn't pass it over and certainly deny any rumors about spiritual divorces. * I'd love to see this train wreck coming to an end though I'll be sorry for what it means to this forum!
  24. I heard it too and it wouldn't surprise me if it indeed was a favour. Let's be honest, she simply wasn't good enough to make the team without help. Why wasn't the favour extended for another year? And then there's the matter of that very awkward and cruel culling among the veterans toward the end of training camp. It was cold, unexpected, unfair and extremely brutal, without any respect for the veterans who had dedicated a year (or even a lot longer like Hannah and Brennan) to the team. Meredith was one of them. I do wonder what that action did to the friendship? So, not necessarily her cut, which was fair because she lacked the skills, but the way it was done?
