Valerie's Home Cooking - General Discussion
chediavolo replied to Meredith Quill's topic in Valerie's Home Cooking
She posted on TikTok oh in our 20s and 30s have none of us made a mistake? Yeah Valerie it was a mistake, not the word I would use. I can’t believe I actually used to like this woman. I now think she is vile. -
How long does it take for a show to be on demand? I still haven’t seen the season finale it’s not showing up on demand
-
She looks better than age appropriate. My first thought was that she is too young to be Al’s wife but she must be younger than him & she looks like she’s in her 60’s. The daughter on the other hand should be much older. ‘This show lacks the originals humor & chemistry. I’m going to try a couple more but it will never be as good as the original.

S03.E04: Call Me Donor Four-Five-Seven
chediavolo replied to Door County Cherry's topic in Call Me Kat
I thought that convo was pretty crude and gross for prime time. I don’t want to think of Phil giving a blowjob on this type of sitcom. It just didn’t work. This show is going off the rails. Nasty, anorexic going blind, mother, seemingly bipolar daughter, shitty best friend, the two bar dudes are strange, little gay guy made me cringe, hardly any cats. I don’t know why I keep watching. Mayim can do so much better than this. She is reduced to portraying a loon. -
Pleasantly Surprised: Shows That Were Better Than You Expected
chediavolo replied to ybrik's topic in TV Show-Related Talk
Has anyone seen “Mohawk Girls”? It’s streaming now on Hulu. There seems to be a need for quite a few more forum/show topics here. I can’t seem to find a lot of shows and some of these threads are really dead. what happened? -
Wow, a bit of ageism here. Have to wonder if this is coming from younger people. I loved Lithgow & Bridges in this, great chemistry. I just, let’s say, went along for the ride on this & enjoyed it where I could. I agree a lot of it was not plausible & I also called Emily being Hamzads daughter very early on. I can’t help but find the life and minds of people in this line of work, which becomes their lives really, You don’t stop at 5:00, incredibly interesting. Even if this was an extreme & unreal example. I’ll watch season 2.

Does anyone know how to ask a question to the administrators of this site? I thought there was a forum for HBO and a forum for documentaries? Ever since this changed it while ago I can’t find anything anymore.

I don’t buy him at all as a young Jeff Bridges. Disappointing casting.

The baby is 13 months old. Being petite, large chest, pregnancy. I bet she is at a new set point & it’s going to be hard to lose.

Jimmy Kimmel Live - General Discussion

Julia Roberts is insufferable. 🤮 And those booties on her stick legs made her look like a witch. That she is besties with George Clooney makes me think I wouldn’t like him either. -
Sucks. No cats. Is Randy getting her way? Don’t like her.

I don’t know how I missed the backstory on Caleb. Can someone explain how his aunt and uncle let him go into the foster system after their sibling died?

I’ve been pretty intoxicated and I don’t think even in that state I would be looking to hop into bed with someone like what?, two days after my significant other was murdered, for fucks sake! All these characters are running around town having threesomes, hooking up with someone they just met after their wife died, no one is really concerned much about the three women in the hospital who are supposedly dying. Especially not their own children or any other relatives. What a crock of shit. The show has become some thing other worldly. It is really no longer like the old days of our lives and I really miss it. But I just can’t stop watching out of habit. Boring old mousy Ali all into having a threesome just makes me want to vomit in my mouth.

Welcome To Flatch - General Discussion
chediavolo replied to BetterButter's topic in Welcome To Flatch
I’m watching. I like it. I like the two cousins although they are a little immature. Her father is just awful to his daughter. Not thrilled about Jamie Presley joining the cast. Not a fan. Did they think the show needed some “star” power? Because I think all that’s going to happen is she’s going to hijack all the scenes. I like how they have the written facts in between some of the scenes about rural life. -
Just finished watching it on Netflix. I don’t think the last season was as good as the first two either. And why did they have to go there with killing off Claire’s dad? I loved sister Michael and it was so sad thinking she was going to be moving out of a place where she felt like she was doing some good. I really hate that about the Catholic Church how they move around priests and nuns just when you’re starting to get used to them. Really should have spent the last 5 minutes on an update of what they are doing now. I feel really let down. What the hell? That would’ve been perfect.

S48.E02: Brendan Gleeson / Willow
chediavolo replied to formerlyfreedom's topic in Saturday Night Live
Though I have watched this show since it’s inception I think I’m getting too old for it. I don’t find very much of it funny at all. i’ll probably keep watching though and fast forwarding. It’s one thing to be in your teens and watch obviously ridiculous fairly comedic shall I say idiotic comedy sketches and then to watch them as an adult. There have been some terrific Saturday night live episodes, or even a couple/few skits inside an episode, but lately , not so much. -
( see bummers of Derry Girls) Ha ha, so true! Someone who looks like Swoozie shouldn’t be throwing shit at a perfectly fine looking Mayim Bialik who looked great in those classes by the way. she is a total bitch of a mother. I love them too. The way they lift your eyes up at the edges. If anybody finds anything similar please post it

I don’t know if I can continue watching the show after four episodes. I absolutely love the actor playing Lucifer. But the actress who is the cop is so God awful she may stop me from continuing. I’m surprised this show had so many seasons. It’s so typically Hollywood. I’d love something a little darker but still fun based on the true Lucifer and his story.

I would hope so, but look at some of these petite female police officers we have, I wouldn’t want one of them coming to my rescue. Hoped the FD had stricter requirements. -

S04.E03: Americans and Their Dreams
chediavolo replied to jewel21's topic in Bob ❤️ Abishola (Bob Hearts Abishola)
She definitely knew he did not have a heart attack. It didn’t play that way at all. There was no reason she had to drop caring for her patient to go see what her ass of a husband was up to. I was hoping her friend would say “ where the hell are you going? You are in the middle of a job” very unprofessional and potentially dangerous. And Bob should know better than to harass his wife at her very important job taking care of the sick. But maybe they are trying to show his oncoming mental breakdown/ midlife crisis. It doesn’t have to be that he turns his company or part of it, into a nonprofit. There is plenty of potential for laughs having Bob volunteer at an animal shelter or whatever and this country needs to see more altruistic behavior on tv.
