  1. Spurge will definitely be called in to "help". He's old enough to do things around the house or help Henry and Ivy with something if Jessa is busy with the baby. (And Ben is doing whatever Ben does.) Josh was a "buddy" at one point. He helped a younger brother brush his teeth, comb his hair, tie his shoes and get his jacket on. (Hopefully nothing more.) So the older boys are called on to help a little but once Ivy gets up to speed, it will all be on her shoulders for the real raising of those younger than her. She will be "Ivy Buddy" very soon.
  2. What? No gender reveal inside of Addison's 1st birthday cake?
  3. Thank you for finding this and bringing it here. Claire even had the same narrative this time around. I remember when Deanna was visiting with Claire and she was telling Claire how it felt to meet "the one" and Claire acted like she had never had that experience. I'm glad she captured Dale and is gone.
  4. Another sign that Spurgeon is favored over Henry .. Jessa won't cut Spurgeon's hair to save the curl but has no problem cutting Henry's.
  5. That is so weird that Jana's phone contact for her Mom says Duggar too. I have to keep in mind that her younger siblings know her as "Jana Buddy" so there is that.
  6. I thought Josie did much better in her "talking heads" tonight and she looked cute in her longer earrings.
  7. Wouldn't that plastic bin get really hot? Just asking for Gracie's sake.
  8. I think that was Travis' sister. His chaperone for this trip.
  9. I forgot about this. You are right. Also, why didn't someone tell Mommy Dearest that it was production that kept her waiting 3 hours, not Madison herself. She is AWFUL. When Pete and Madison don't make her she is going to be all in her son's face saying, "I told you so" and Pete will have to tell her she was right.
  10. Barb is awful and right behind her is Peter. He is his mom's son. Ug.
  11. I'll try to name them, but I could be wrong. l to r: James, Joy, Justin, Jason and Jed.
  12. I found it interesting that Michelle didn't seem to know much about Lauren and her miscarriage. Like she hadn't involved herself in it, hadn't called Lauren to talk to her about it etc. I find that sad. Lauren probably thought she was marrying into a close knit family that she could share life with and now finds herself isolated and only Josiah to talk with, Lauren's mother seemed very concerned about her daughter and it almost seemed like her idea to get Michelle over there so she could pay some attention to her daughter. Or, it just all just a fake set up for the camera. Regardless, I'm glad Lauren now realizes that depression is real and I do hope she takes what she has learned by her miscarriage and isn't snooty to other women who go through one. Did it seem like Jinger stayed with Jessa when visiting? Seemed like she was over there a lot. I agree with those who have posted above about the extreme awkwardness when Kendra came over to Jessa's and the three of them sat around and talked. Maybe they are stiff because of the cameras. I was very surprised to hear Kendra's feelings on how difficult it was for her to meet Garrett's baby entertainment demands. And now she is pregnant again. I guess she relies heavily on her family to help her with Garrett. Not so much the Duggars. The snippet of Jinger visiting with Grandma Duggar was sweet to watch. Jim Bob really loved his mother and I could hear his concern in his voice when talking about her strokes and how it had changed things, but yet, he was hoping for the best. Michelle, was just weird. Too bad she had to be there. It is interesting to me how open the Duggars will be with Grandma Duggar's passing but yet, many areas of their live they never open up for the audience to see. The show is just so far behind their real life, that it really isn't interesting.
  13. They had to have some kind of clearance to even land, right? Austin, John, Nathan and Lawson do have experience in medical missions and previous relief work … although I am not sure at what level. James and whoever the other Duggers are that were in the picture, have been through ALERT training … so that should come in handy, right? (Snark) I know at ALERT, they learned how to make a human chain and get things passed down it quickly like cases of water or cleaning off wood from a blocked road etc. Jana can be a welcoming face that residents can get information from … maybe? If anything, Austin, John and Nathan know how to work chainsaws and heavy machinery … maybe that will be of some assistance. They are not afraid of hard work. They are also pilots. And Lawson can play that guitar and entertain the children. It makes me mad that they now have this CORP and are asking for donations. Didn't they learned anything from the Dullards SOS mess? A few of them have some skills that can be needed there right now. Maybe they will join forces with a big, more organized relief group and can be of service. ETA: Just trying to make some sense of it all. I don't think they would have gone if they didn't know that they could land and be of some help.
  14. I don't know why Hannah just didn't tell Tayshia that she was confused when Blake didn't pick her for his date, especially after he had flown out to see her. When he didn't pick her, she made a connection with Dylan, thinking that perhaps Blake had decided to not pursue her. Later, Blake explained that he did still want to get to know her better and she was still interested. By that time, she didn't feel like she needed to tell anyone how Blake had flown to see her prior to BiP. *I'm wondering if she did say all that but TPTB edited it.
  15. Thanks for pointing out that was Jordan. I couldn't place her. I guess Jana is too busy helping her sisters with their babies so Hannie, Jennifer and Jordan are now recruited to helping Anna with her crew. Hope they got to participate in some fun things too.
  16. Not wanting to defend this family, but perhaps that saved all year for the trip, like a lot of families do. They probably stayed with her sister so they didn't have to pay for a hotel and ate most meals at her sisters home. Of course, I don't know how they had the money to go, as I don't know anything about their income … but know a lot of families that save all year so they can go somewhere for a week in the summer.
  17. Can't believe James is 18. He had been crafty in avoiding the cameras all these years. (Or ignored and forgotten.) Last time I really remember seeing him on any Duggar show is when he would chaperone for Jill and Derrick. He looks the most unique out of the kids. I also didn't know he had gone to Alert.
  18. I wish Kate would have put on one of her "not ready for beach waves" bathing suits and left the room, went out to the beach/pool/bar, flirted with guys and enjoyed a cigarette. That guy she is married to is abusive and a loser. Poor, poor baby, didn't get his way on "Married at First Sight". I was glad she put on her sunglasses and didn't have much to say to him as they were packing up to leave.
  19. This makes the most sense after watching the birth show and then this one and listening to all the comments. Mary keeps asking her sister-wives, "Why should I be guarded?" She wants them to admit that they talk bad about her to Kody and want her relationship with Kody to not be healthy.
  20. Why would Becca even show up tonight or tomorrow night? I'm losing respect for them all.
  21. I guess that will be tomorrow night. Two more hours.
  22. Does he not want to leave until she gives him her blessing? Asshole.
  23. Derick's use of "wifey" in the "omelet to go" post felt like he was making fun of Jill. It read like he was mad at her and was taunting her. Just seemed disrespectful to me. #weird
