  1. Nathan was really smittened by Ashley and it was cute. He was really glad to see her. He has grown into such a nice looking young man. Jackson is going to be very handsome too. (I think that was his name.) I thought it was weird that Erin's sisters were so late to her baby shower because one sister thought the other was driving? So only the driver knows when it is time to load up and leave? Kelly and Gil seem a lot more relaxed about their kids mixing with the opposite sex than JimBoob and Michelle.
  2. Purely speculation on my part, but I wonder if Jana had her eye and hopes on a certain guy and she prayed hard that he would notice her or like her too, but the guy never noticed her or came around to try and get to know her so nothing materialized/ Maybe the guy even went on to court and marry one of her fundie friends. Perhaps that is what pushed Jana to be so sad and not want to invest in another relationship.
  3. Although it still makes me sad that these kids will never have experiences like Gil did (winning state in wrestling) I do like watching this family and what is going on with them. Gil and Kelly's PDA is in place, like only done where it should be ... like when they are alone celebrating Gil's birthday. They don't seem to be just all about the sex and the grandbabies like the Duggars, I loved seeing Nathan step up and everyone else helping out where they could. Loved seeing Kelly holding Bradley when they were over at Zach's house for the birthday party planning meeting. I think the only time I've ever seen Michelle hold one of her grandbabies was when they were first born, otherwise, they are at arms length. Anyway, cute show. Looking forward to season 2.
  4. Its really hard for me to believe that J'chelle let her daughters write in their courting book about her throwing up after eating when in high school and she never bothered to tell her best friend Cindy about it before the book came out. (I couldn't tell if Cindy was implying that when she read the book that is when she found out about it or if just reading about it made her cry. ) Also, when Cindy came to the house to pick J'chelle up, J'chelle did not seem very excited. She barely got up to greet her friend when she came through the door. That seemed weird. Probably another planned reenactment. J'Boob looked really off his game at the reunion. He was uncomfortable. A gathering he couldn't control.
  5. Interesting how Carly herself, and all the other ladies, thought it was Carly who would go home at the Deadwood rose ceremony. Wonder why that is? Carly was funny tonight, but she has taken herself out of the running. She is just support and comic relief for the other girls. I was surprised how well Kaitlyn, Britt and Carly could ice skate. I think Whitney is controlling and overpowering, but Chris doesn't see that yet. He just sees how well she handles herself in social situations, which impresses him. But she was so OTT when she realized those "fans" (?) were his best friends and the reaction to that mural. Did she think that Chris painted that and did all the work for it? Does she think that Chris thought of it and arranged for it to be done? She is a very outgoing and social person, so I don't know if life on the farm would be enough for her in that area. Having said all that, her "story" of her mom's passing and no relationship with her dad makes her the perfect person to start over in Arlington. She wants a family ... ready made in his and one to start with him. And if she gets him, she will wear the over-all's in that relationship which Chris will love at first and then grow to dislike as he begins to see what is going on. (Usually after 2 or 3 kids.) I think up to this point, Jade is his front runner in his mind, or he is trying to force her to be because she was his sisters pick. I think once she reveals to him her past "mistake" he won't be able to let that fly. I can't believe she didn't tell him right after she met his Mom and Dad about her rebel side. I'm sure his Mom went home and immediately looked her up on social media. Yikes!! Also, was there a rose on this date? Maybe that happened while I wasn't looking but I don't remember one. Maybe it was when they were practicing their "French" in the high school hall way. One of the ladies who sat behind Chris and Jade at the football game looked just like one of the ladies that spoke during the premier episode that was from his hometown. I like Becca. I don't know where she was last night, but I like her. I think she has the best personality to handle Chris' lifestyle, but I just don't think he has any feelings for her. We know by the previews that he visits her family, so I guess we will see her tonight.
  6. I didn't watch when Chris was a "contestant" so he is new to me. Ummm, Britt is a waitress in LA. Which means she is an actress wannabe and just waiting for her big break. Now she is hoping that The Bachelor will help that along. That is all. She knew what to say and how to act because .... she's an actress. IMO, she was a tad dramatic and over the top. But Chris ate it up. Maybe she is hoping she can become the next Pioneer Woman (Ree Drummond), but of farming instead of ranching.
  7. There is a picture on Pickles and Hairspray FB page of Benessa kissing on their wedding day and it is not good. Jessa is kissing Ben's chin and his lips are up near her nose. I think they have been practicing a lot since then to get this shot that she took and put on her Instagram.
  8. From the wetpaint link above, Ali looks so pretty in the picture were she is dressed up as a princess and Gracie is a vampire. Her hair is down and combed and she doesn't have her glasses covering her eyes. I hope she had a great Halloween with her Dad.
  9. I have a sugar hang over today from the stand up only reception. Anyone else?
  10. Robbie is smart. He doesn't have any intention of marrying her but just enjoying the goods. Jeremy screwed up big time when he went after Leah. If they divorce, I bet he will fight hard for custody of Cheetos.
  11. Caught an episode today from 2012 called, "Planning the Future". J'ichelle and the oldest girls were invited to a speaking engagement at Cross Church for encouragement. So, that meant that Jim Boob had to watch the 6 youngest. All he did was try and do the little girls hair and get them dressed and then let them jump all over the couches. He even asked Hannie to keep an eye on Jordan and Josie while he changed Jenny. He kept waxing on about how when he and J'ichelle had the first six kids it was just him and her doing all the parenting (go figure) and that watching his youngest kids today reminded him of that time. So J'ichelle had the five oldest girls with her at the speaking engagement and Jim Boob was watching Justin on down to Josie, so he had six. Well, I got so pissed off at Jim Boob for saying that ... why did he say that he remembers how hard it was with the first six? He has had 11 kids since then. So how did they get raised? Oh yeah, Josh, Jana, JD and Jill had to start helping and as Jessa and JInger got older they had to help. I'm sure as soon as Jessa and Jinger could start helping, Josh and JD were probably allowed to give up some of the childrearing since it wasn't really a "man's" jurisdiction. (In one of the specials 14 Kids and Counting, they showed Josh having to try and calm down his buddy when he had to stay behind and take a nap, so I know he had to "buddy" just like his oldest sisters did.) He kept saying how thankful he was to the older girls during this segment. (Never thanked J'ichelle.) And Jill did a talking head where she said that he often calls when he is left in charge and asks when they will be coming home. I turned the channel after watching that part because I just couldn't take all the lies JBoob and MrsJBoob tell to cover up the truth in how they "parented" 19 children. They didn't do much at all after the first six.
  12. Its funny how I've watched this show all these years and I've never known that J'ichelle loved bling so much. I can't remember if it was on the show or not, but J'ichelle did an interview with the owner of the shop where Jill got her wedding dress and she was saying to her how she really wanted Jill to get a dress with bling. And now the fingernail wrap overdose. She has also been sporting that big necklace in the last few episodes. Its huge. I guess she didn't like all her daughters getting to wear those heart necklaces so she had to show them up.
  13. I know that JD, Jana and I think Jill were volunteer 1st responders with the fire department, but I sure don't remember it being mentioned that JD was a police man. Wonder if Jechelle stretched the truth on that one? I do hope if JD is renting his home he earned by clearing off that lot, that he is able to put that money aside and Jim Boob isn't taking it. After reading what Jechelle had to say about courtship, I can't believe Jim Boob let Ben even talk to Jessa. Ben has no way to support a household or provide for a house and Jessa certainly isn't going to work to help out. I wish TLC would call Jim Boob and Jechelle out on this. And what do Jana and Jinger do all day? I can't imagine being their age and just doing their Mom's housework and looking after their siblings all day. So sad.
  14. I wish Sadie had gotten one of the taller guys. That is all. :)
  15. Yes, those wooden bunk beds were new. I cringed when Jana said that she was just there to chaperone and leave the babysitting to Jessa and Ben because they would be in this situation soon. Ummmm, they aren't going to have 6-7 kids in a year ... they will build up to that. Why can't anyone in this family just enjoy being where they are in life? Why does a courting couple have to prove they can handle 6-7 kids right now?
  16. Boob said it is the summer of their 30th anniversary ... so I guess they are going to celebrate all summer. *insertyoungJingereyerollhere* Jill and Jessa did not appear to be "joyful" during the activities of the triple date. I felt for them too. JimBoob and Jechelle couldn't just talk to them about some of the struggles they will face as a married couple? I don't think it is wrong to let the kids do activities where they have to work together and encourage each other on, but handcuffed and at a public park? I really rolled my eyes when Jechelle told them at the park that they didn't cheer each other on enough. Geesh.
  17. Those nude little heels in the picture that truthtalk2014 posted above look so much nicer than all those clunky "natural" color shoes the bridesmaids wore. Jill said her colors were teal, peach and accents of gray .... but the bridesmaids had white in the hem and then the brown belt and shoe accents. And the alterations to that dress shown in the store had to have been extensive. Adding to the neckline, + sleeve and hem x 6. Poor Jana.
  18. I remember when Joe graduated from the boot camp phase of ALERT, Jim Bob asked him if he was ready to come home or sign up for more and Joe said he was ready to come home. Not sure if Josiah got a option or if Jim Bob just signed him up for more.
  19. I'm hoping when Derick got to the Duggar house as Jim Bob was just telling his Mom she was watching all the little kids for a couple of days was a reenactment. Derick did not even acknowledge Grandma. She was standing right behind Jim Bob and Derick didn't as much give her a look, not to mention a hand shake or a hug or a greeting. Just seems weird that he wouldn't honor her by saying hello and/or giving her a nice side hug.
  20. Corey has to be knowing something pretty strong to go after full custody. After all this time, through everything he and Leah have been through, he's never asked for it. He has always seemed happy with the arrangement of when he got the girls. But he was very quick to get this moving forward after he got the letter from Ali's therapy. If he was smart, once he asked Leah about it and she reacted like she did, I hope he called the therapy place and got more information before moving forward with his case. I really don't think Corey would do this if there wasn't a reason. He has always seemed to give Leah the benefit of the doubt and has never said much about the way she and Jeremy parent etc., until now. He wasn't messing around this time. I thought everything he and Miranda said when they were talking in the car was all very well thought out. (I had never heard Corey talk so much.)
