A new activity for the family that has been approved by Pops.

Erin and Chad's weekend to spend at the farm with Mama Jane and Papa Bill. Erin did a lot of baking before leaving and will stock up their freezer with goodies. I imagine that Erin will also cook while she is there. Perhaps her visit will be a helpful one.

If they put in a fiberglass pool, it could be done in a 6-week time frame, like they have mentioned. Maybe with Katie's apartment pool they decided to hold off? If and when they decide to update their viewers on the pool, it will happened very organically, like this. C&E are in their backyard playing the with kids and Carlin will say, "Did we ever update them on the pool?" And Evan will say, "I can't remember." And then Carlin will say, "In case we forgot to update y'all on the pool, here is the latest ..." The heading on the title page for the video will be "POOL Update!"

One time Carlin was decorating for something outside at the farm, maybe a Thanksgiving. Under tents. Mama Jane had asked the kids not to get on the tables, yet Carlin stood on one of the tables in her shoes, to put some decor up. Mama Jane didn't like it when she caught her doing it.

Kelly said her chicken salad recipe came from her granddad. She then told Zach that her grandmother, Nana, owned and worked a little deli or something like that, and it was her chicken salad but that she learned it from her granddad. Zach did not know about his grandmother working or owning a business. A big deal was made on how Kelly only uses the cylinder can of Morton's salt in her dishes and that Zach has "fancy salt" and grinding dispensers for his salt and pepper. And he uses a fancy mustard like Grey Poupon and she just uses basic generic mustard.

Kelly Jo "guest starred" on Zach's youtube cooking show this week, making chicken salad. They went on and on about how it was a staple in the house when Zach was growing up. They would boil bunches of chicken and then save the broth and all the shredded chicken and she would make several chicken dishes from it. Chicken Salad, Chicken Soup, Chicken and Dumplings. Kelly Jo showed how to make two types of chicken salad. So, I guess she did some cooking when the kids were growing up. I was floored to learn this. Would have been nice if their TV show would have lent itself to some things like this. The only Chicken Salad the show ever talked about was from some store or deli that Michael catered her wedding with and it was proclaimed to be the best. But on Zach's show, Kelly Jo's was the best. If you haven't watched any of his cooking videos his tag line is, "You'll thank me for it later."

My post above certainly didn't age well. Haha. I just knew something was off with the move. Now I know. I think it didn't hit Carlin how often Evan was around other women until they married and he probably came home from his day and told her what he did. Then she got super possessive. On another note, Katie doesn't seem sick with this pregnancy. When pregnant with Haley she was like Aylssa and was sick from early on until giving birth.

I know that she needed Austin's permission to get treatment for her PPD, but I wonder if she had to go before Michelle and Jim Bob too and what they had to say. I am glad she is talking about it because she is right, she might could help or encourage another mom to get help. And if other in her cult are watching, that could be a good thing.

It seems Travis' music stuff in Nashville will involve his parents coming down. Maybe they are in on the venture with Travis. So perhaps Katie and Travis moving to TN and leaving his parents won't be as harsh, if his parents come to Nashville some too. Maybe Mama Clark will come down when #2 is born and keep Haley for them while Kelly comes and goes with gifts and sweet words.

I went and watched Carlin's stories after reading here. I thought the interaction with Papa Bill was sweet. His interaction with Zade and the flower was so tender. And even Carlin finding out that yellow is Jane's favorite color. Her (or Evan) showing a little of what Papa Bill is going through doesn't seem wrong to me. They have all explained that he and Jane are having issues now. For selfish reasons, I found it interesting to hear Carline say (with Jane's urging) that she was the one who came up with the idea of doing the boutique and apparently asked all her older sisters and Whitney to come aboard. I guess only Erin and Whit were interested. Having said that, the promotion for the BSB birthday sale this weekend was too much. She didn't need to have that "commercial" in the middle of her porch time with Papa Bill and Jane. I feel like Gil has asked his oldest kids to go and spend time at the farm so that he doesn't have to go as often. It does probably help out his siblings, giving them a little break in the responsibilities and gives Jane some much needed help and company. She seems to love the great grands being around. It would probably be more helpful if Gil's kids went one at a time, so that it isn't as overwhelming to Jane or Bill. Lawson and Tiff should have waited and gone next week. 1.Zack/Whit, 2.Michal/Brandon, 3.Erin/Chad, 4.Alysa/John, 5.Nate/Ester, 6.Lawson/Tiff, 7.Tori/Bobby,8.Josie/Kelton, 9.Katie/Travis, 10.Jackson/Emerson, 11.Trace/Lydia, 12. Gil/Kelly Jo. They would only have to go once a quarter if they did it like this and of some variation. Like Alyssa went alone with the baby. (Not sure I got all the couples and also, it was HARD coming up with all the names.) I would think the grandkids are loving that one on one with Jane and Bill too. Probably didn't get much of that growing up.

I am sad for Jill. To lose a baby that far along would be very difficult for me or if it happened to my daughter. I do hope her siblings reached out and offered their support and comfort to her and Derick.

This get away was all for content. How much time was spent on getting just the right picture or video. It was all set up. Just so sad to me that they don't even see how they are missing so many moments by pretending they are in the moment.

Did Evan say something about selling an Explorer to get the Jeep? When did they get an Explorer? They sold Carlin's car a while back and it wasn't an Explorer. Not that it matters, but I am very confused by this. So now they have the Tesla and a Jeep but before that they had the Tesla and an Explorer that sat in the garage?

I totally forgot she had another baby. Didn't even miss him in the videos.

I'm glad Nurie got something. Sorry I didn't see that she did.

When Jill was trying to show the porch veranda, she didn't switch the camera around to show how pretty it was, she stayed in the picture so all one could see was her. Then when she did turn the camera around it showed the girls up at the cash register and looked like Nurie was putting her wallet back in her purse and she didn't even get a drink, I'm assuming because she is pregnant. And then they took group pictures all dressed similar with black tops and blue jean skirts. All different shoes though.

I felt like Jana and all the younger Duggar girls wanted to do anything except this Q&A with Joy. I wonder why Joy wanted to do this for her weekly video. I haven't seen any of these younger girls in so long. I wish Joy would have let them introduce and talk a little bit about themselves first. What are they doing these days? What are their hobbies? What is their jurisdiction this week/month? Listening to how Josie talked about her American Doll was strange to me. Trash? Yes, it was sad that her brother and Tyler broke the doll as soon as she got home but odd that she said they filled it with trash. It was also sad to have Jana in there with her little sisters. How old is she now, 32? And then Hannie is almost 18? Hannie mentioned wanting to know more about construction but yet never looked or acknowledged Jana's experience in this. Infact none of the younger Duggars mentioned having watched their older sisters be good at something and that inspired them.

Not that I heard. I do skip over a lot.

Carlin and Evan mentioned the pool. It's a go. A friend from church is going to build it. Evan said it would "be awhile" but later said they would be swimming this summer. Carlin is enrolling the kids in swim lessons.

I can see how this probably manifested to what it is. Several months ago: Travis: I'm going to start flying to Nashville twice a month and stay a few days to see if this music thing can happen. Katie: That's a lot of travel for Hailey, plus I want to get pregnant again really soon. Travis: You and Hailey will stay here, I'll just go. Katie: How do I stay here without you? What would I do all day? Plus, I'll be sad knowing you are so close to my family, and I am here in NJ with just Hailey. Why don't we move to the Knoxville area and while you are in Nashville, I will have my family to keep me company. Travis - Ok. They also said that they were not going to make their Youtube channel a priority since Travis will be busy with his music and won't have as much time for filming and editing. They have over 217k followers. I'm surprised they are willing to give up the SM money.

Can someone remind me what Nurie's two sons are named? I saw Newman in a post above, so I know that is one. Is he the oldest? What about the other one.

This is what popped into my head when this reveal was made. I remember when Jill posted about what Kaylee was praying for and felt sorry for Kaylee. She probably told her mom that in private and wanted it to stay private. It was awkward watching the kids after the reveal and how they just stood there. Finally, one girl went over to Nurie and gave her a side hug. The littles looked like they had just been told there was no more food for their lunch.
