  1. I have watched every season, and there were a few designers that I didn’t recognize at all. I don’t see Anna making it very far. She seems very manic. Cute baby though! Loved the first challenge. It’s a retread of the “do-over” challenge, but using the design that sent them home or their worst design is a chance to see how they have changed/grown. Looking forward to seeing the second chance runway.
  2. Oh, Dateline. You are really trying my patience. Enough with the 2 hour re-hashing of older stories and calling these episodes “new”. Adding 8 min of previously unaired tidbits is not worthy of titling the other 112min as “new”. ( Especially if it means I have to slog thru those 120 min with Andrea Canning repeating her own questions, and the interviewee’s answers, incessantly) “The Killings on King Road” was just another example of this waste of time. At least It wasn’t Andrea droning on and rehashing the tragic Idaho murders. Maybe use the time better and revisit older stories and provide updates. And if there isn’t enough new material to share, do a one hour show.
  3. I don’t get the Tucky. Cropped shirts look good on subsets of people: young and skinny. I do not belong to either category, so I am definitely not the target audience. But do people really want to wear a belt around their torso? I foresee rashes and irritation, especially in the warmer weather. And is finding cropped tops really a problem? When I go shopping with my 16 yr old, all I see is cropped! Tanks, tees, sweaters, hoodies, even pajama tops are all I see on the racks. I also found her perma-smile off putting. The Eye-Wris Dad was very charming. Loved his opening story about buying the wrong versions of groceries because he couldn’t read the packaging. Been there too many times myself and came home with Mac n cheese with jalapeño. But like already mentioned, wouldn’t those readers get scratched up really quickly, being banged up as users rest their arms/ wrists on counters, grazing against objects as they go through their day? Once again, I am old, so I have no idea who Tank is. I also do not use a lot of social media. I find the rise of “influencers” sad, troubling and a bane on society, especially for young people. A lot of damage happening because everyone depends on being “liked” and “followed”. Tank’s game doesn’t feel like it’s a home run IMO. Who is this game for? Obviously not my generation or older. And anyone under 25 is too enamored with these Influencers to poke fun at them via a tongue in cheek board game. LOVED the young woman pitching Tones of Melanin! So happy she got a deal. She is going to be successful no matter what she does in life.
  4. Ricky’s murder was covered before, and I don’t think there was very much new material aired in this rehashing of Amy’s plot to kill Ricky. Yes, Ricky should have cut ties with Amy long before getting to the moving in stage. On the law books, and in Ricky’s parents’ minds, and probably most of the audience watching, a 20-21 year old has no business being in an intimate relationship with a 15-16 year old. But it happens, right or wrong. I assume Ricky was covering the majority of these teen thugs’ expenses, and I think Amy’s parents were happy their girl got her hooks into Ricky’s family. They appeared to be well off and had a good business. They had a boat and went on trips. Was anyone checking that Amy and her roommates/girlfriends (with equally idiotic parents) were attending school? Were they working? Or was Ricky solely supporting their party lifestyle? I find it more heinous that Amy’s parents were of the attitude, “oh Amy has a mind of her own! What can we do? She luuuuvs him!” What could you do?? Um, say no to dating him, and most definitely NO to MOVING IN WITH HIM. Get assistance from local resources? Call the school? Your pastor? A counselor who treats families and adolescents? Amy’s parents were absolutely contributors to creating their monster daughter. So clueless and completely devoid of remorse on behalf of Amy’s actions. Stupid people shouldn’t have children. Amy’s mom was so smug about how “educated “ her kids were about abstinence and birth control. How’d that work out for you, lady? Now you have a granddaughter whose dad was murdered because of her deluded, immature jailbird mom. I sure hope you didn’t raise and “educate” that young lady using the methods as your own evil daughter.
  5. At the risk of being mean, I didn’t much care for the woman’s way of telling her story. She seemed as if she were performing somehow. Not that she was lying, I believe everything she said. Just her emoting and telling the story felt very “one woman show” at certain parts. What happened to her and her kids was certainly horrific. I felt a lot of anxiety as she described her kidnapping and sexual assault. Her daughter probably has a lot of guilt over her role, but I wish healing and health for all of them. That psycho should never see a day’s happiness for the rest of his days.
  6. I had a dollhouse that a family member made for me, but I didn’t have a lot of furniture. I made stuff like you did. I used the those white plastic coffee creamers that you get at restaurants and made lamp shades from them for my Play-doh lamps. The beds were cut up kitchen sponges.
  7. Honey lady’s voice made me cringe. Had to mute until her pitchy - pitch was done and she was off the tv. The clothing concept seems like a great idea. I hope they get help to grow. Like others, I don’t get the lunchbox toy. Good for a car ride maybe? Not into cactus chips…these may be delicious for some people, but I tried some years ago in L.A. and didn’t like them.
  8. Of course it’s awful that Courtney was murdered. Her mother shouldn’t have had to lose her child. But the sister’s story is just off. Like some of you here, I have some major side eye and shade in Lace’s direction. It appeared to me in her interview, Lace was aware of the affair between her fiancé and her sister? And while Courtney was still alive? The cheap ass fiancé/killer bough a ring set, and split the two rings between the sisters, and Lace realized it? WTF? Why wouldn’t Lace have dropped these very pertinent details during her interviews with the police? Andrea Canning continues to excel at being the worst interviewer ever. As soon as Lace’s fiancé was mentioned being a pall bearer and Andrea repeated it a few times, I said, “Well, we know who did it now…too bad we have to spend another hour and forty minutes listening to Andrea parrot every single response she gets to her inane questions.”
  9. Can someone remind me of what year we’re in Maisel Land for season 5? I caught the 1981 flash forward, but can’t remember where we left off after the blizzard.
  10. Did I miss an episode or five?? Who the hell is/was Crash? I thought I had watched every episode in both seasons, but I either missed his storyline, or I need to see my doctor about my sudden memory loss.
  11. The only things that caught my attention in this episode: - there’s a Heidi? And someone named Brandon? - at least I won’t have to see the schmoopie - woopie showmance As for the rest…Zzzzzzz
  12. Rebecca wasn’t getting a call about a positive or negative pregnancy test. She had fertility labs and tests run to see what are her chances of getting pregnant and carrying a baby to term. She’d have to do that whether she wanted to try to conceive the good old fashion way, or via IVF. The doctor was calling with her fertility assessment. Gotta say, Keely has never been in my my Top Five characters. I like her even less this season. She seems like a very sweet person and has a knack for PR, but she is still being written as an air head. Her staying has always been OTT, and it’s cute most of the time. Her hairstyles though have been awful. Is it bad wigs? If she and Jack are meant as a short term thing or more serious, I don’t care either way. I just don’t think she should get back with Roy or Jamie. And if there is a spin-off with Keely as a main character, I don’t know if I would stay watching. Unless she brings Sam, Dani, Colin, Beard, Rebecca, Trent, Leslie, Roy, Jamie, Doc into her PR firm. I would want Ted too, but then it wouldn’t be a spinoff!
  13. If Georgiana marries the broke Duke, yes she gets a title, but she loses her fortune…it goes to her husband by law, doesn’t it? Why does everyone keep telling her in order to stop idle gossip, and further lawsuits, and keep her fortune, she must marry? In that era, the only way a woman kept her own money (and a level of independence) was to remain a spinster, or out live your husband and pray he didn’t squander away the money before he died. I am certain a woman of color with Georgiana’s story probably faced a lot of racial discrimination and injustices. The money may have opened some doors for her, but life must have been difficult socially. That said, Georgiana’s petulant sneer and pout every episode is annoying. Charlotte makes some pretty bad decisions. She wouldn’t be my first go-to for boyfriend advice, that’s for sure. If Augusta has witnesses how weird her uncle and Charlotte’s “I despise you!….no wait a sec…I would die for you!” relationship is, why would she seek out Charlotte for what her best move is with her mystery man? I hope Lady Denham, Lady Susan and Miss Hankins all get to ride off with their soul mates. I’m more invested in them at this point.
  14. This show is boring. This season is boring. The most exciting thing for me has been changing my mind about a player. Usually, I form an opinion over the first 2 episodes and it sticks. I gave Carolyn major side eye at first. Now I am actively routing for her, and embracing her disdain of the other players. I want her to win. Admittedly, I haven’t watched very closely this season, but has every challenge been “crawl under something- climb up something - unlock something -do a puzzle”? I don’t have an encyclopedic recall of all seasons’ past challenges, but this time around it feels exceptionally repetitive.
  15. Didn’t Danny give us some rhapsodic tearful declaration of the love he has for his daughter? Would he like to see his little girl so blatantly dismissed, and ignored and ridiculed and insulted like Carolyn was? What an asshat. He can take his meditation and faux Eastern philosophy and shove it in his measured breathing hole.
  16. I like 99% the main characters, & secondary and tertiary roles. I can’t take much of Christa Miller or her character. I find Liz unfunny, aggressive, abrasive, overly intrusive and just unlikeable. I think the actress isn’t a great performer, never liked her in all of her husband’s other shows. She should stop with the fillers and the eye lift surgery ASAP. The fillers must have done something to her facial muscles because she sounds like she has difficulty speaking certain words. Can we please get a show put together with Jessica Williams, Ayo Edebiri, Quinta Brunson & Janelle James immediately? And Sheryl Lee Ralph can be their mom?
  17. I finally watched this episode and I screamed like an idiot when I saw the 3rd pub, Trafalgar Tavern. I was there in 2019 and it was amazing. Of the several fish and chip dishes I sampled while in London, Trafalgar Tavern was the best. Great atmosphere too. The enter Greenwich area was wonderful, and I wish we had more time to explore. We had a lovely Sunday roast at another pub that was also one of the best meals I ever had. Sorry to see the Scotch egg be the downfall of May and Dale. I love a good Scotch egg, but theirs was not one I would order. Now all I can think about is fish and chips with malt vinegar. Or a Yorkshire pudding. Or both.
  18. I liked it! Big ensemble cast, lots of familiar faces, so I am looking forward to character development. Speaking as an old antiquated person born in the days of yore…before everyone got a trophy, there were grades for work turned in, zeros for work not turned in, no extra time to take tests or submit late papers, valedictorian of the class existed, Honor Society and AP classes were seen as high achievements, teachers were allowed to give criticism, and parents didn’t tell their kids the sun revolved around them, their every thought was intelligent, amazing, unique, special and creative….I absolutely laughed out loud at precious Mr. I wrote my first novel at 6, and his Mommy and Daddy demanding apologies for telling their “gifted” child he was “mediocre” (at best). It’s one thing to support and encourage your kids throughout their lives. But to omit constructive criticism, or lessons on how to deal with failure and disappointment, or explaining not everyone outside your home will think Hannah or Jakey can shit rainbows is bad parenting IMO.
  19. I may be losing my interest in this show…the revolving door of nuns n’ nurses is really annoying. I do not like Sr. Veronica one bit. Hope she goes away soon. Maybe she can ride her brand new scooter off the docks. How will Sr. Julienne be able to tolerate blatant lies, especially if Sr. Veronica is scamming Nonantus House’s benefactor? Is it coincidental that in 1968, “The Flying Nun” was a a big tv show in the US, and at the same time, Poplar gets “The Lying Nun”? I don’t think Trixie and Matthew have any chemistry. Do we have to have a prolonged buildup to their wedding and wait for the Christmas episode to finally end this story line? Poor editing by the PBS a crew yet again. If I hadn’t read this forum, I would be lost. It was so obvious important, exposition scenes were cut. Maybe I will just stay away from PBS until “All Creatures Great and Small” comes back. Watching CTM is satisfying for me as it was 6 seasons ago.
  20. Can’t give any solid reasons for it, but I do not like Sara. Didn’t like her on the Kentucky season either. Dawn’s food usually looked great on her season, but she’s still a bitter Betty over not winning. Her pastry dish might have tasted good, but IMO it looked horrible. Love seeing London, and I am so excited for a Parisian finale. I’m going to London, Normandy and Paris in a few weeks, so I will be scanning the background for familiar sights as I watch this season. I’m not very picky about food, and I will try many things at least once. But I draw the line at any type of carpaccio. Shrimp carpaccio, with or without poop included, would be a no-go for me.
  21. I thought the sunscreen band was pretty smart, but the guy was too scattered. And his packaging looked like every tchotchke in a 7/11 or rest stop gift shop. No indication of what the product was…looked like a silicone watch band…without a watch. Cookies and cakes looked gorgeous. Very talented baker. I can see her success selling to the Kartrashian level rich people. Another “look at meeee!!! I have bespoke confections at my 4 year old’s Tea in the Tuileries bday party…in the actual Tuileries!!!” Very pretty, but not in my budget. More “disrupter” makeup? Pass. Sephora and Ulta are already bursting at the seams with vegan, plant based brands. The orthodontist was a good presenter, and she and her mom overcame a lot of adversity. But I don’t like the cartoon sized toothbrush.
  22. I just caught up on these posts after being away for work…I didn’t get a chance to watch yet. My biggest question…. Did Kween Klassy get her 24k gold steak? And did she comment on how the gold made it taste 24 times better than a steak with 0 gold on it? I will be so happy when these fools are gone, and all their plastic tiaras.
  23. Tom’s fall from Grace will be featured on “American Greed” on CNBC at 10pm Tuesday, 3/7.
  24. “American Greed” on CNBC will be showing Tom Girardi’s tales of lying, cheating, swindling, and financial fraud on Tuesday, March 7 @10pm. Not sure if the show will give us any new info that hasn’t been discussed and reported already, but I will be watching.
  25. Carnival cruise seems about that woman’s vibe vs. luxury yachting. Honestly, with many of these guests over the seasons, I feel like the crew members have much better manners, and awareness of what “high end, 5-star experiences” mean. At least while they are on charter…not so much when they are ashore for their incoherent drunken ass grabbing.
