  1. True, I admit Spanish shares many of the same words and roots and English and is much easier to learn. But Jenni has been there 3 years and it seems she hasnt even made an attempt to learn a thing! Im sure there are local classes, not to mention several easy to use apps to learn from.
  2. Good lord yes! I learned basic conversant Spanish in a couple weeks before a trip to Mexico City using Duolingo app on my phone. By now she should be able to understand just about everything they are saying. Is she that lazy? I guess so judging from the dead bugs and piles of dirt on her kitchen floor last week!
  3. Sorry if this has been answered already, but has Angela even appeared yet? also I cannot stand Bilal’s wife. Ppl that “demand apologies” from others are nuts
  4. Jibri please SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!
  5. Wow really???? As a white person who is not racist, I know that I shy away from discussions of race except with people of other races I am very good friends with just because of the word police thing where virtually ANYTHING you say can be twisted to imply that you are racist. I know that many white people refuse to discuss any racial topics in public for this very reason. Being so pedantic does more harm than good, in my opinion. Anyway, Sutton has an awkward way of saying things but I do not detect an iota of malevolence from her towards non-white people (or should I more correctly say ethnically non-European?). I believe in that conversation a year ago Crystal was just looking for Sutton to say one thing the 'wrong' way for her to jump on. I think this is exactly what Garcelle was talking about.
  6. Wow---I thought Max murdered someone or was caught molesting a 6 year old boy by the histrionics of Moriah. A girl kissed him and he stopped it. He was mature enough to willingly fess up when she may have never even found out about it! Even if Max is sugarcoating his story a little it still isn't that terrible. Yes it sucks and Moriah has every right to dump him if that is her wish, but come on. She's been moping around for months now over a kiss? If THIS devastates you that much you are in for a world of hurt, honey. And for Micah to act like Max is a horrible person now...give me a break!
  7. Agreed. I felt the same way about Walt's plan of poisoning Brock. I guess it didn't bother me as much as the ricin scenario because I wasn't spoiled for this one.
  8. Gahh Theresa is an absolutely disgusting person. I think she's even worse since serving time in prison.
  9. Fell asleep a few minutes into last night's airing (will watch on Discovery + later). Was just wondering.... What is the difference in the pronounciation of Datien vs. Dacian? And Deniko Derrico???? Ouch what a name! Do we have any info on Deon's father/Marian's husband? Was Derrico his father's or Marian's surname. I would think not as Derrico would be a very rare name in Arkansas, doubly so for a black woman to have a non English/Scottish derived surname. I would assume Derrico is derived from D'Errico, an Italian name. Do they have Italian ancestry? Just wondering as I'm a genealogy fan.
  10. The bad thing is, they are really not very good either. There is no little Michael Jackson amongst this brood. Everything is the same clapping with a very repetitive 'song'. Nothing against them--No one would have ever wanted to listen to me sing either! But-if Derrico is thinking he can make money off of their 'entertaining'--I hope he has a backup plan! The bad part is that he speaks to all of the children--including teen Darian in the same way. It almost infantilizes her and the older children. The only ones he should still be calling 'babies' are the triplets, and even they are toddlers now.
  11. Derrico's properties are all probably in foreclosure. The house they live in is definitely in foreclosure.
  12. None of what these people do or say makes ANY sense! So Karen goes on and on about Darian going to the same school as 'Mommy'---but how is she supposed to do that if they are only going to be there 6 months of the year? I understand the desire to have interaction with and form relationships between your children and your side of the family, but does moving there for an arbitrary 6 months of the year really make sense? Why not spend a month there each summer? I don't get the feeling that Matu (can they please tell us what her real name is for goodness sake?) or any of the other relatives they showed are dying for them to be in South Carolina anyway. Their house and God knows what else back in LV are in FORECLOSURE, so how are they going to afford to live 'bi-coastal' (you know LV is nowhere near the coast, right?)? Where is the money going to come from for this Derrico Pavilion? Building a successful theme park type of operation that would actually be successful takes a huge amount of capital and tons of work. Neither of these two have any of the qualifications necessary to run such an operation. There is no way they would ever be able to get the funding or run such a place, especially if they aren't even there half the year. No theme park has ever been opened or green-lighted based on a third grade science fair level presentation! Where is the money coming from! I was curious so I looked on a map and calculated the distance from Kingstree to Atlantic Beach, SC. They are 80 miles (hour and a half) apart! So they really weren't even staying that close to Matu. I wonder how often they even got together with her the whole month they were there. If they move to SC, are they moving to Kingstree, or Atlantic Beach? None of this makes any sense!!!!! Whatever happens, I'm sure the grown man Eric will follow them wherever they go---which is kind of weird for a non-family member. As a side note, were people still really beaten for not 'bringing in enough cotton' many decades after the end of slavery? I could be wrong, but it was surprising to me that Gigi stated her mother--who couldn't have been born earlier than the 1920s or so was beaten for not bringing in enough cotton. I believe Karen may have said the same thing about Matu, who can't be much more than 65!
  13. The 'fight choreography' in this was not good at all. None of this made any sense. The way they just stood there waiting for the battle droids to reach them made no sense. The Wookie getting shot multiple times yet still moving (and then magically better a few minutes later) was stupid. The 'Mods' and their candy colored Honda motorcycles are almost as cringe-y as the Dex's diner scene in Attack of the Clones. I also really didnt understand the overall reason for this fight in the first place. Something that has been bothering me since the the beginning of the sequel trilogy - what happened to the sound effects in the Star Wars universe? Is Ben Burtt no longer involved? One thing that I always loved about the original trilogy (and even to a certain extent in the prequels) was the amazing engine sounds, the blaster sounds, etc. The blasters, guns, and artillery sounds now are so bland, wimpy and without any oomph. Finally, wonder if we will ever see Threepio, Chewie, Leia Organa in upcoming seasons of this show or the Mandalorian.
  14. Yes! I can't remember the exact words, but I couldn't believe she said something to the effect that she knows what to say to hurt her older sister, and totally seemed to enjoy doing so. It seems to me that the older sister is the only one that even remotely calls her on her BS and maybe that's the reason for the hostility. Shauna just seems like such an abrasive little asshole. I laughed at the post above that said maybe she could make her name as the world's smallest dominatrix. I am really confused what the issue is between those two. i appreciate that the older sister wasn't really in to pole dancing and penis props for her bachelorette party. I feel the same way as her. Why does everything these days have to be so crude and crass? What's wrong with a nice brunch? You can still have fun without being vulgar. I find the youngest sister a little odd as well. I would guess her to be 14 - 16 based on her looks and behaviors, not 18. This is very shallow, but if I knew I was going to be on national TV I think I'd look into some Whitestrips to fix my very prominent yellow front teeth. Is the father's primary source of income puppet shows? I wasn't really paying close attention during that scene. I was kind of surprised to see that next week (only ep 6) is the season finale. I guess TLC, like the rest of us, realized there just wasn't that much interesting going on with these people. Does anyone know how it's doing in the ratings? Wonder if it will be a one and done?
  15. Agree! I haven't really been watching intently but have caught most of the episodes in bits and pieces. Wow is she annoying! I don't know if she's just a rude bitch or if she's using her snappy mouth and aggressive behavior to overcompensate for her small stature. She really stated that she can't go to college because of her size??? WTF? Jen Arnold is a freaking doctor and her physical limitations far exceed Shauna's. I get that it would be annoying constantly explaining her physical situation, but unfortunately many people have aspects of their lives that suck; however they can't just sit home and do nothing without even trying to face their challenges. Fail to see why going to college would really be that big of an issue for her. Ditto with the driving. Her older sister that no longer lives at home seems to be kind and pleasant in what we've seen, but Shauna brags about how they don't get along and how mean she is to the sister. She's such a rebel with her tattoos and vaping isn't she? We have already seen several reality show staples such as the axe throwing and now pole dancing. I was bored with the setups to illustrate the surprised reactions to her age about 15 minutes into the first episode. I fail to see how TLC thought this woman and this family was interesting enough to sustain a 1 hour special, much less an entire series!
  16. I just want to beat Ben with a baseball bat (not really but it's a fantasy). "I love you so so much baby" is not the type of conversation that indicates you are a SOULMATE. Has he ever even spoken to her over the phone before? I can't remember. He may be the most egregious 90 day player I've ever seen when it comes to projecting a deep spiritual relationship based on NOTHING! He looked like an absolute douchebag reading that cringe-y poem. He is not a bad looking man with a good body (wonky eye aside). I'm sure he could find someone suitable in the US.
  17. It would seem Noelle is a more mature person, but from what I understand she may have gone off the deep end as well. I read somewhere that she has changed her name to Gwen, has decided to convert to Islam, and her online posts have been mighty strange. I always thought she seemed profoundly depressed. I wonder how true Jazz's friendship with any of these people are. Reading between the lines, I would guess no.
  18. I agree, Greg, at least from what is portrayed on the show, is the MVP of the family.
  19. Wow this episode was mind blowing in so many ways. Be Kind bill - how do you legislate the way kids interact with each other? I'm not sure exactly what they are trying to put into place with this 'bill' but I dont think the founding fathers set up our system of government to dictate the behaviors of children. Bullying is awful and of course the teachers should not condone it, but there is no way for them to control everything kids do. There will always be picking on people that are 'different'. Sometimes people develop strengths and learn to empower themselves by facing a little adversity. Sander is absolutely ridiculous. He is actually going to force himself to date someone he has no physical attraction to just to prove what an 'Ally' he is. Hell if he's that hellbent on being so woke, why not just transition himself? Maybe that's the next step. What kind of high schools do people go to where they can make straight A's without even studying? I was pretty much a straight A student all through my school career but I actually did have to put SOME effort into it. Jazz is so delusional. She sets such high standards of excellence for herself. Excellence IN WHAT? Everything she has ever attempted on the show has been half-ass or she quit because it just wasn't up to her imaginary standards. She is too lazy to even get out of bed half the time. I don't think she's dumb but I don't think she's some gifted genius either. Sander's trans friend----sorry honey but no one should have to feel bad about themselves because they aren't physically attracted to you. It doesn't mean they are phobic or whatever -ism either. And to actually think it's not your romantic partner's business to tell them you were born a woman after six years of dating is ludicrous. I think they'd be able to figure it out just by looking. It was refreshing to see someone with an actual brain like Raymond telling Jeanette the unvarnished truth.
  20. I agree that Tammy is certainly depressed, but I don't think she is mentally challenged or delayed. If anyone is, it's Amy. Granted, maybe she's not qualified for MENSA, but there have been several times I laughed at some of Tammy's funny little quips. Never got the impression that she was dumb. I agree the scene with Tammy and Amanda was touching and made me sad. Tammy has been unhappy her entire life, and it seems like the only person she thought ever truly loved her was her grandmother. I find it kind of heartwarming that these siblings do really seem to care about each other. As a genealogy nut, I was not surprised at all with Amy's DNA ethnicity estimates. Most Southerners are overwhelmingly English/Scottish. It really would not be all that surprising if they were related very distantly to the Queen. Many English men of the upper class (usually one of the younger sons) emigrated during Colonial times to America as the oldest son usually inherited the entire estate in those days.
  21. I really dont get the hatred towards Caleb. I do not understand how it's 'wrong' that he didnt kiss or have sex with her within an HOUR OF MEETING HER IN PERSON FOR THE FIRST TIME! After a 20+ hour trip no less! With CAMERAS EVERYWHERE! When I see people I've known all my life after years being apart I even act a little awkward for the first few minutes because I'm a naturally shy person. I cant imagine being expected to be intimate with someone IMMEDIATELY! I thought it was very weird of her to question him about that the morning after. She's not 'thirsty' but she's almost begging for him to f- her. I also thought she was rude about his gift. Did she bring him one? The backpack may have been somewhat 'insensitive' but I don't think Caleb got it for her with bad intentions. The guy loves to hike and he wanted to be able to bring her places she could probably never go on her own. It's almost like no matter what anyone says or does in regards to someone with differences it will be wrong or offensive somehow. Elijah was a total asshole. Where does he get off questioning why Caleb didnt kiss her? What a weird question--how is that any of his business! It's almost like by him not immediately being all over her he's rejecting her because of her size. If he had acted like that, everyone would probably be saying he had a fetish and was taking advantage of her. Alina may be a lovely person (and I'm not so sure about that), but I just don't see long term how a relationship with 2 people so completely physically different would ever work. He would never be able to do the outdoors/athletic type things he enjoys so much without excluding her. It's so easy for everyone to criticize him, but I bet 99.9% of the people that are critical of him would never date someone like Alina.
  22. Has anyone ever found out what happened to Jacky? Of course I am referring to her eye, but her side profile looks totally unnatural, almost like she had cancer of the jaw/face or a botched plastic surgery. Something about the way she speaks makes me uncomfortable. I find it's hard to put what my feeling is into words, but everything with her seems so formal. It's almost like what she says is rehearsed a lot of the time. I find Grandpa Jack much more appealing and natural acting. I feel sorry for Jazz because this family has really messed her up. She should have never been forced to be an 'advocate' 24/7 at such a young age. I honestly don't know what to think about Sander. The oldest sister seems very dour all the time. Poor Greg always looks so resigned. The only ones I really think are somewhat normal are Griffin and Greg.
  23. I love Tisa! For some reason, I still have a shred of goodwill towards Tammy, so I hope she realizes that Tisa is the best thing that's happened to her in a long time. As others have stated, as a non-family member Tisa is in a unique position to stand up to Tammy. I sure hope she can break through and make Tammy realize if she doesn't start walking NOW, she NEVER WILL! Just can't imagine what their childhoods were like to produce such levels of dysfunction.
  24. Oh my gosh poor Evie. Thankfully they have the medical ability to help her.
  25. Gah Mariah and Audrey are humongous! Yea Meri you and bananas have a special meaning for each other.
