  1. Wow, no court in the real world would give custody to Karen unless they can really come up with stuff about the father. She slept with a father and son, was accused of killing the father, in direct violation of her professional ethics. She has admitted to picking up random men for sex in hotels, leading to an HIV scare, which implies unprotected sex. She was in the relationship with Alec and his wife...and these are just the things that they have shown. She then wrote a book about it, which the child can grow up to read. Her close friends and character witnesses are Joss, another accused killer which has a history of promiscuity marrying her sister's husband, a woman that hid the fact that her criminal husband was still alive. Alec can always argue that he became involved in the relationship because his wife was dying and he wanted to make her happy. it is not uncommon for men to marry quickly after their wife dies, and the new wife according to TVLine is a doctor? So we have a married doctor, who has a wife and stable job, was previously in a 20 year marriage, against single Karen (does she have a job?) whose claim to fame is a lot of failed sexual relationships, who has disciplined by the medical profession and slept with the person she hired to care for her child, indicating she has no impulse control. Only on TV would she get custody, so of course she will. Why would the show worry about Harry's sister with Joss' ex? He is sleeping with his sister in law whom lived with him and his wife as a family! On what moral ground could they stand?
  2. What writer or casting director thought the April/Mark pairing was worth watching? If they wanted to put Joss with one of Savi's men, why not the lawyer...instead of the brother in law that she lived with and helped "raise" her?
  3. Thanks everyone..you are doing a great job at making it unnecessary for me to watch the show but keep up to see if it will get better. The actor that plays Marc is not convincing to me as a mature male lead, nor is he attractive. This show initially started out promising hot men....who? Now they have moved into a smaller house and he is not working...and a recovering alcoholic? Seriously? She thinks this is a step up from an FBI agent? What about the guy in the first or second season that ( I think?) had a daughter at her school? I don't remember how or why that ended. I think he was a sports agent? Has April ever had a decent relationship on this show? What happened to Karen's partner or colleague that liked her? He was not attractive, but the closest she has had at a shot at a normal relationship. Has there been any back story to explain why Karen is so crazy? Never have liked Joss, even before they put her with Harry which is gag inducing. He has always been the weakest character on this show I knew the sister would be a bust.
  4. Please rid us of Rosie this year....please! Evelyn awesome as ever. Jesse and the daughter are not believable and just boring.
  5. I also think Pasqualino was great in this series. I also can't wait to see what they do next, however, being in the U.S. I probably won't see it until months after it has already been shown in the UK! Oddly, although he and Milady had a lot of scenes/time in the first two series, Athos was the character I was the least interested in. I don't think it has anything to do with the actor because I actually thought Tom Burke was the best actor of the four, but I just did not find him interesting. For me it was not a lack of chemistry, but a lack of time to develop the relationship and show (in words) why they were interested in each other. Besides, it is hard to have peasant woman look great in the type of clothes they were supposed to wear, and yes, I think it makes a difference that Anne and Milady were shown in great gowns with their hair styled, etc. Then again, I think they were trying to show that Athos was interested in more than just the physical with Sylvie. I would have loved to see D in a story without Constance. I think they missed the opportunity in the first season to have her killed in line with the books...and the second season with the beheading. the romance between them was really boring, and in my opinion they had less chemistry than anyone. Again, I would have gladly not had any romance and more action scenes, because the swashbuckling is what I was there for! I can't complain...I got to see Capaldi and Marc Warren and as you say, be introduced to more actors to follow. I actually think Cabrera is signed to do a show onShowtime, HBO, Cinemax or one of those type of channels. Not sure about the others. Burke strikes me as the type to do plays.
  6. I am sorry, but has Cullen been shown with a normal woman? i get that he is supposed to be "damaged" with this sad back story, but first he has sex with a young girl in a barn with her family a few feet away, and now he is sleeping with someone who is pretending to be a man? Then there was the flirtation (at least on her part) with the religious girl. Can he have a normal relationship and see where that goes? After the sex in the barn with Naomi? the "rough" sex with Mei was disturbing. What are they trying to say about him? I keep DVR and fast forwarding, and I have done that so much I no longer know what is going on in this season...Eva, Mickey, Durant, I have no idea. I don't even know how Cullen left the railroad and why they took him back.
  7. I believe in the previous episode Thursday says something to him about talking to her and he indicates he is staying away from everyone and he encourages Endeavor to tell her himself. That still did not explain why both of them acted as if she was just a stranger. I understand being professional and addressing her as "nurse," but there was absolutely no facial recognition by either of them towards her...it was an odd scene. I am not saying they needed some big breakup scene like she was the love of his life, but this was strange.
  8. I'm trying to learn. What makes some names bigger than others, and what kind of money are you talking about? A couple of thousand per episode (and I am assuming travel costs) or over 10K per episode?
  9. Are they paid to go on this show? I think most young, single people would have a hard time turning down money to go to an exotic location even if it is just for a few days if they don't have a job. If they have a job...how are they getting this time off, unless the "appearance" pays more than the job they have? I personally would like to see more former participants RUN away, instead of trying to extend their 15 minutes of fame. I watched some of the Bachelor this season, 1st real time, and was shocked to find out there was a Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.
  10. I am so tired of any Rosie or Carmen story. Rosie is consistently the weakest part of the show. The show should have been about the Powells. Zoila is also annoying
  11. This episode, and the last, just highlighted to me the mess that the writers made of this series. The baby with Naomi should never had happened, nor should the Swede have existed for so many episodes. I can barely watch anymore, I just fast forward through most of it.
  12. I agree. I did not read the ending at all that they were retiring to a quiet life in the country. Maybe I missed something. I will have to re watch. Yeah, I felt like some things were rushed, but there was a lot to cover in only 10 episodes. I actually wish they had killed Louis sooner. I guess they can't make everyone happy. At least we all had favorite seasons and episodes. Hope to buy this in a boxed set.
  13. I don't know if it is the pregnancy or not, but I felt that Athos/Milady took up way too much time in both Series 1 and 2 and no one complained, but now that it is Sylvie there is a problem. Evoke sympathy...like when the sister in law tried to hang Milady...hmmm. I think overall Sylvie was portrayed as a strong character that stayed true to her beliefs and was not afraid to fight for what she wanted. Chemistry is sometimes only as good as the material that is written. Porthos' attention came in the manner of exploring his birth and his family, so although this season was not heavily Porthos, I don't think he was short changed because he got time in Series one an two. Constance and D'Artanguan took up WAY too much of Series one and two (and they really lack chemistry) so they already had plenty of focus, as did Anne and Aramis. Far as I am concerned there were too many Grimaud scenes and Louis scenes if anything. The only explanation I can come up with (other than the fact that there were new showrunners) is that Porthos, D'Artagnan and Aramis have always been pretty solid in who they were and what their conflicts were. What was Porthos going to change into? He was always a fiercely loyal warrior. D'Artagnan was already farm boy turned hero, and we'd already had two seasons of Constance being in peril and having to be rescued in the last two episodes of Series 1 an 2,as well as them having to rescue Anne, Aramis' love interest. Aramis was solidly the spiritual man conflicted by his carnal desires. Why not have Athos change? We had two seasons of him being conflicted, drinking and brooding. I thought it was evident that he was weary of the fighting and not really enjoying leadership. I am not sure they were hinting so much that he wanted a "quiet life in the country," or more that he had just come really close to losing a family he had just found and wanted to protect them for a little while away from Paris ( where Sylvie also had distracting obligations) that could pose dangers. He had also come close to death himself and had his confidence shaken by Grimaud. I think they did a great job with showing the conflict between what both of them believed in and finding common ground, and deciding what they wanted from the relationship. I could have taken Sylvie or left her, but since that was the direction they went in, I can't say it was just terrible. If it makes everyone feel better, I don't think he was ever shown as telling her he loved her. Her flogging scene was no more dramatic then Constance being rescued from being beheaded in series 2 or being rescued from Milady and crew in season 1. I never understood the fans wanting Athos to end up with Milady. She slept with one of his best friends and tried to have that friend kill him, not to mention her other kills, including trying to knock Athos out and burn him up in his own house. She watched a man shoot Treville, someone that Athos cared deeply for. I could not imagine all of that being forgiven and them riding off into the sunset. I had forgotten about how much she wanted to kill him until I re watched Series 1. I did, however, think they needed a different goodbye scene than what was shown. The idea that they would "never be free of each other until one of them was dead," had to be proven wrong, and I think the writers did a good job of showing that he had moved on. Besides, it was supposed to be 4 or 5 years later, and according to Treville she had not stayed on the "straight and narrow," so what did he owe her? As an Athos fan, even if you don't like Sylvie I would hope one would want more for him than a toxic relationship with someone that could not be trusted. I agree with a previous poster, chemistry or not, I don't see her moving on from her past, and I don't see his friends respecting him in a relationship with her. Constance, knowing she had slept with her husband and held a knife to her throat...uh no. I personally like action and adventure and fight scenes, so as a whole I would have been more than happy with no one having a real love interest in the whole 3 series and devoting more time to the brotherhood and fight scenes. I don't, however, blame the writers for wanting to end everyone on a happy note. Seal fell in love with Heidi while she was pregnant by someone else pretty quickly, so I could buy Porthos and Elode bonding and his raising her child. It was a different time, people did not live long lives so I think relationships, etc. did move along pretty quickly. I do, however, have an issue with Anne making promises to Louis and then doing one of the main things she knew would bother him with Aramis' ultimate role at the end. Although I understand the dramatic affect and how it ultimately impacted other decisions, I wanted Treville to survive. I think they did a good job with making Louis more mature, however death will make people look at things differently. Rupert Everett annoyed as Feron, although he did have some great lines! I wish they had not made the decision to end it after season 3 and would have liked to see what would have happened with Milady if there had been a series 4 that she could contribute to. I would have also like to see Anne develop more and focus a little on the cadets at the garrison.
  14. I enjoyed season 3 as well. It is a shame that the BBC is treating it so poorly with the scheduling issues. I am sorry that there has been a lot of negative reaction to Season 3
  15. I can't tell you how upset I was to have to get Hulu to see the series. The best thing about it though is I was able to go back to Series 1 and 2 to recall some details. I was also able to see "Line of Duty," which was amazing. I am so disappointed in BBC America, similar to the decision to discontinue Law and Order UK. Kept it beyond the free trial, but don't really see anything else on Hulu that is worth watching. They also canceled Copper, so I am wondering what I actually watch on that channel.
  16. Spoiler I loved this season. I have re watched the episodes numerous times. I also enjoyed it more than I did the previous season, with the exception of Grimaud. I too think his various escapes were unrealistic. I am, however, a fan of Marc Warren, so I reserve season two as having favorite episodes just because of him. I can't help but wonder what the show would have been in Capaldi had been able to stay as the Cardinal. I understand that the actress that played Milady DeWinter was pregnant and therefore possibly unable to participate in this series to the extent needed. I don't necessarily feel that her story with Athos was incomplete. Their time had passed, and I think they both realized it. They had not seen each other in years, and I think his reaction was more shock and relief at realizing that she was still alive and just emotions coming to the surface more than a longing to be with her. I think it was needed for him to realize he was ready to move on, and did not like the person he was when he was with her. Unlike others, I never enjoyed her redemption arc and had hoped that they would move Athos on to someone else last season, so Sylvie was a welcome change. I think it was unrealistic to believe that a man with his moral code would forgive her offenses and fully trust her as a romantic partner, and it appeared she had not changed her ways. I felt, however, that the Queen was sidelined a little. I agree that they showed tremendous growth with Louis, and Treville was my favorite. Hugo Speer was so darn attractive in his wardrobe, and his scenes in "The Prize," were amazing. I enjoyed the fight scenes, the relationships, interactions with others. I liked watching Brujon grow and feel that D'artangan made the most changes and was portrayed as being a great mentor. I bought that he had matured over several years of war and I think his fighting technique was the most sound. He seemed the only one that was truly capable of taking on Grimaud in a fight, and in general looked the most believable in most of his action scenes. I also think they showed Aramis' spirituality effectively. The Porthos romance seemed forced and rushed. Howard Charles seemed to be overacting or something this season, I can't put my finger on it. In contrast, I think they did an o.k. job with showing Athos' growing interest in Sylvie and his seeming confusion about what he wanted from the relationship. If you watch the episodes and pay attention to them isolated, he was always very aware of her actions/location and looked to her a lot for her reaction or to be protective. Tom Burke sold it with his intensity, smoldering looks and expressions of vulnerability. I thought they also had chemistry, although I read that a lot of people did not. I also appreciate that they did not show her exactly simpering over him, getting on with her life, and letting him know that she wanted more from him than just sleeping with him. I actually never bought Constance and D'Artangan, and it is their chemistry that I thought was lacking,, but their relationship was o.k. I loved the conflict between him and Marchaeux. (sp) My favorite episode of this season I think was "To Play the King," but many others are close, such as Brothers in Arms. Like the last poster, I shallowly appreciate the eye candy and everyone has their favorite, but for me this season it was Hugo Speer and Luke P. I am interested to see where these actors go from here. Unfortunately since I am in the U.S. I proably won't see them that much. I am sad to see the series end.
  17. Star Labs go away. It is a joke. Every bad person knows where it is and where to find the team to kidnap or threaten someone. I guess metahumans don't have to eat or use the bathroom. I would rather see more of the police station where TWO members of the team work, (and makes sense for a reporter to hang out looking for stories) than the same two or three rooms at STAR labs Barry show some skill at his job or as a scientist. It seems as if Season one had more of him at the crime scenes deducing things, etc., or maybe I just don't remember. Do not bring back bland Eddie! Give Wally something to do besides being annoying Stop with Harris Wells, Eboard Thawne, etc.I get they like Tom Cavenaugh, but he needs to go Have the team act a little more mature...hey, I'm not saying take all the fun and lightheartedness, but Cisco is too much and Caitlyn is worthless as a "professional" in her field Give Joe a personal life, at least a mention of one. What happened to the ADA or whatever she was they had in couple of episodes? Give Iris a job....she is not a reporter and if they want to go that route it has to be more than a few voiceovers and a romance at work...with an other bland love interest Give Amanda Pays something to do or just show her at all Stop with Barry messing with the timeline...it is repetitive and if so, show all of the ramifications Have Barry act more like a man than a little boy Stop with weak bad guys and go back to a different metahuman a week,or bad person that is not a metahuman....no more speedsters obsessed with speed...it is boring Decent love interests for Barry and Iris...if they are not going to put them together give us someone better than the boss, Eddie or Patty. Linda was great and they messed that up. If they are going to put them together, don't let it linger all season and finally have the two show a passionate kiss, one that Iris will remember and won't be erased. Create a blog so that I can find all of Candice Patton's clothes used on the show Redecorate the West house...it looks depressing on the inside Give Barry a really nice apartment
  18. I am glad I found this forum. Some of you articulate clearly what I struggle to say. I cannot put into words where the show went wrong. It has been almost painful to watch the show go from the first two seasons to what it is now.
  19. Well, at least it is clear that they do not read forums and listen to fans. Pretty much everyone agreed early on that this season was not shaping up to be good. I have consistently heard criticism of Caitlyn and everyone was tired of Barry whining and being upset. I am mystified why they had to bring Wally in, and reconned Harry did not need a daughter. I was bored with Cisco's family concerns. Zoom never really had a good motive, and the device he was trying to power at the end just did make sense. Joe was also not used well this season, and they basically did nothing with Henry considering that he was supposedly Barry's driving mission in Season 1, to free his dad. No real development of Barry the scientist. I am fine with no Iris and Barry and I thought Eddie was weak, but if they want to do an "Arrow" and change the lead love interest, why not leave the girl that worked with Iris? I thought she and Barry were good together. I finally figured it out....when Barry is not whining and being confident, as he was in some of the rooftop scenes, etc, in the 1st season, Iris and Barry do have chemistry. When he is whiny, etc. it is hard to see how someone as confident as Iris would be interested in him. We are supposed to go from Season 1 when everyone, including Eddie, Joe and Barry's love interest , realized that they were attracted to each other or in love, to them being lackluster. I don't think any character showed development this season.
  20. I am a superhero fan, but I admit I probably now the least about The Flash. I was mad when they made a Justice League cartoon about how important the Flash was, because to me he does not hold a candle to Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, et. al. I have not idea what Flashpoint is, but if it is not a way to go back and fix the mess this season was, I am not invested at this time. I am sorry, but Caitlyn brings nothing to the show. I am all for her embracing her darkness if it will make her one iota interesting. I still don't believe these people in their professions because they act so immature. Flashpoint or not, Barry's actions are frequently so selfish and reckless, Cisco is the class clown from high school that tries to be cool. Iris does not seem to have a purpose except to prop and console Barry and be a fashion plate. If they are not going to pursue a romance, write her out, although I think she is one of the better actors on the show. In some ways Jesse L. Martin seemed to be phoning it in part of the season. Is it terrible that I don't remember most of the episode because it was so bland? After the big Zoom build up...a race? Zoom was not well developed and his motives seemed really stupid. No passionate kiss before the race, a hug or acknowledgement that this may be the last time they see each other? Wally was annoying, and so was Jesse. Unlike others, I have not liked Tom Cavanaugh in either role, but preferred him as the evil Wells. Both Flash and Arrow were must see tv fo me in their first seasons, but have now just become something to pass time, or to watch with the small hope that they will get better.
  21. I am sorry but there were too many predictable things in this episode. I also cannot get into Cisco's constant "quips." I hate his Vibe scenes. Caitlyn was her usual boring self and I have never liked the re-conned Wells. I am also not interested in his daughter on any level. I wish they would focus on the metahuman of the week and not the "big bad" for the entire season. That is where Arrow went wrong and even Suits when they stopped the client of the week. Zoom has not been compelling and all they did was recycle last year....big death with Eddie, big death with Henry....Zoom is a traitor, Wells is a traitor....Iris doesn't know and finds out at the end in some dramatic way....Wally finds out in some dramatic way...rinse and repeat. Still no development of Barry as the scientist good at his job....and there is no way to buy them as a couple and grown ups when after all the trauma they have been through he says something as bland as "let's give it a shot," or words to that effect in a roomful of people. No rooftop meeting or anything to bring back the romance or tension to their relationship ,but just a throwaway statement.
  22. So sorry Daisy is still with us...the show would be better without her. Didn't like the character of Lincoln but would love for Luke Mitchell to find a show that works for him. I think John Hannah's character will be the next big bad, and it appeared to me that Coulson and Mack were not acting normal. Love that May is still with us...hate that they killed Andrew and Blair Underwood! Please let Ward go.....
  23. This season has been so underwhelming. I can't think of one episode that was not predictable or disappointing. What age range is Wells or whatever his name is? Maybe Tina is for him? Wally finally did something that I liked. Seriously H&M or one of those type of shows should have an Iris West line. Her clothes are so cute. Do they have a wear to shop guide for the show? I drifted off..why did they think Zoom was dead?
  24. So predictable and still no sign of affection from Iris to Barry....and of course next week will be too serious to get flirty. I thought they had decided last week to give it a try? Black Siren was boring, Zoom was boring, and Henry's death was predictable.
  25. Will the therapist be back?
