    Diana

Maaaayybe when she hit her late 30s or 40s, but she didn't want to or expect to work. She wanted a husband and children (who then were also raised by nannies and boarding schools). Maybe after she divorced her first or second husband she'd realise she needed to do more with her life. But it would have taken awhile to get to that point for her. An "excellent teacher/social worker" needs more than just a way with children. Plus, this isn't a dig at Diana but aside from the two she nannied for a bit, her year or so of being a TA and her own sons, who had nannies and boarding schools, she didn't spend time with children, especially not the way teachers and other professionals do.
  2. Nakey? I've slept naked but it sound like I'm missing out on some fun. I want to sleep nakey!
  3. LIOLI is the only programme that doesn't pause for a commercial before the announcement, so I've always pardoned the cheesy pause.
  4. Or they're like the parents and can no longer tell the difference.
  5. I love that they're not only saving some of these houses from being torn down and replaced with big white boxes, but they're also restoring them with real thought and good design. The history alongside is pretty interesting, though all decidedly one sided and a bit too Euro (read White) centric, but in many ways that can't be helped. I look forward to more episodes and more interesting design.
  6. This is a highly depressing programme from what I read on here. You can do shoddy work and still make over $100k profit? What's the point of bothering to do good work then? (Not that I think most of what Tarek does is "good work"). There are no consequences anymore.
  7. This programme has been way to obviously fictional for too long. Hiring yet another old, White man to be team leader was the last scoop of dirt on the decomposing body of NCIS. End it.
  8. I'm guessing they did have input. If they hadn't it would have been all white, N&J's preferred design. I wonder if they'll put in a second bathroom at some future date?
  9. Loved the Yonkers house. It was nice to see an upstairs being done instead of the typical one room kitchen. And to have wallpaper and colour used.
  10. Really? I couldn't get over the length of his neck.
  11. But she wasn't a sociopath. Sociopaths are less likely to be able to hold down a job as she did and are more erratic and hot headed. If she was a sociopath she wouldn't have been able to calmly answer questions as she did.
  12. DE, like Heatherchandler said.

    Diana

Charles didn't "have" Camilla until at least 5 years into his marriage. And I have no idea why the RF and Di's family thought the two would be a good match. Their personalities and basics interests were so different, and not in an opposites attract kind of way. Diana was much too immature and Charles was set in his way after more than a decade of the bachelor life. Not to mention they barely knew each other. Charles did have tools in his emotional toolbox, he just wasn't allowed to take them out and use them.
  14. Riley is lucky he wasn't shot.
  15. Yeah, wallpaper is a personal choice, right up there with creamy or crunchy peanut butter. It can be a big risk if you're not picking it out yourself. But if you like it why care what others think? Unless you're selling the place in 2-4 years make it look how you want, not what HGTV tells you you're supposed to want.
  16. Please tell me they're not going to replace Gibbs (old white man) with this FBI guy (another old white man).
  17. Kitchens like that are what happens when people have been thoroughly brainwashed that they NEED open concept and that the kitchen is the "heart of the home". I think one day soon nearly everyone on HGTV will just have a kitchen with a television as the entirety of their public space. A white and grey kitchen with a huge tv, of course.
  18. The Modesto guy seemed very selfish. Everything was about what he wanted. Does he spend any time with his family or is it all to do with his business, his projects, his golf, his pool table.
  19. It might have been jarring but it "worked" because it was jarring. Makes you think even more about things that are going on in America and the world while others make money and destroy.
  20. Only if you can find your hand twin like Joey....

    Season 04

I hope it is just a tired trope when the PR minded request that the FBI/police solve a crime quickly. I mean, do they normally take their sweet time? Isn't solving it as soon as you can be sort of the MO of their jobs?
  22. HIS career?! No way, SHE would be out on her ass and he'd be excused.
  23. Maybe it's just because I'm sooooo sick of white/grey boxes but I actually liked the design of Tracy's sister's house. She didn't spend a few million of her Daddy's illegally made money to just make it look like something she could have gotten for $200k. I wonder if she cares as much about the stupid sister feud as Tracy does?
  24. The London hunters have to be some of the most contemptable people they've had on this programme for a while. I'm really hoping they will never have children.
  25. Why? Sounds just up Duchess Kate's alley.
