I know it's stupid to still be shocked by anyone else's stupidity but I a large part of me can't believe people pay more for a house because of things like staging. It seems like a pointless, money wasting, middleman.

Then you have places like neighbourhoods south of the Anacostia River in Washington DC where house prices are over half a million dollars but it's a food desert. Or places where you have to live a 2 hour drive away from your job because not only isn't there any affordable housing, there's very little housing period.

I've got to disagree. I think in this situation Sandy was being the opposite of the micro-manager she's always accused of being. She left it up to the head of the department. It's not Sandy's fault that the HoD dithered around wanting to make everyone happy instead of doing her job.
