It is their fault because they were on the front of the OC bandwagon. Other HGTV shows do non open concept or a more realistic mix. The brothers do ONLY open concept and then talk about it as if it IS the only way you can design a house.

She needs to leave the children the hell out of it. I refuse to watch her exploit her own children. It's sick.

I'm wholly sick of the open concept is the only concept cult that the Property Brothers have. Because of that I've stopped watching them.

NYC has a family atmosphere too and there are tons of parks and green spaces. A child doesn't need a bit of manicured green behind their house to know what the outdoors is.

I totally agree with the obsession with watching children. But as for the doors maybe the homeowners were like me: bug haters.

What in the heck are people doing in their bathrooms these days?! So many require HUGE bathrooms. Not just dual sinks but tonnes of floor space. Are they realising that open concept means that their bathroom is the only place to get away from people? And wouldn't bathroom/closet combinations make for musty clothing?

How many horrible people "seem" so nice... 😉

I had no problem with her not wanting to prep dinner all the time. Especially if she's coming off of a year or two working two jobs AND doing all the domestic work.

Yet another open concept nightmare. Her houses are like the expensive version of builder grade.

Why do people bother claiming they want character when what they really want is an open concept grey/white house with a white kitchen, ss appliances and white subway tiles?

The programme being only 9 weeks means that the people coming to study abroad only stay for 9 weeks, not that the business she's running will only be up for 9 weeks. That's why she was were worried about school commute.
