  1. If that was true they, and every other HGTV "designer" wouldn't be so obsessed with huge kitchens being the "heart" of the home.
  2. Worst place for a barn door is the bathroom off a bedroom. The bd's are loud to open and close and don't actually give much privacy.
  3. Who cares about what's in style?? White and grey are horrible to me because they're so ubiquitous. Same with open concept. I want my house to look like mine, not like an HGTV flip.
  4. Not all women want to be touched a lot or at all when they're giving birth. And the pair aren't together. He's just a sperm donor at this point. And what was up with Steve's we aren't telling people she's preggers thing? He's already told tonnes of people! Does he think those cameras and boom mics work by themselves?
  5. Do the laundry once his father gets home. Duh. Safetywise I'd be more worried about the pool.
  6. The hurricanes may not be getting worse, but they're landing on places built in the floodplain and into areas with more concrete than natural areas. Plus there are more hurricanes.
  7. Well, their open concept cult doesn't allow them to be in a kitchen that isn't in a big room with every other public part of the house.
  8. I don't like parents who whine about not having enough money/time when they CHOOSE to have six children. No one forced you to have all those kids.
  9. I wouldn't mind having that family room in my house. The only change would be stopping the paneling halfway up the wall. The green and orange table and chairs in the kitchen were groovy too.
  10. What was the point of Christine in that last episode? Seemed like it all could have been easily done without her.
  11. I loved the bathtub in that LA house. The denim blue all over, including the front of the tub was lovely. I didn't like the sink they chose though. I didn't go with that rest of the decadent tiling.
  12. According to pretty much everyone who has a programme on HGTV I am the ONLY person in America who doesn't want all the public space in my house to be one giant room. Can this be true??
  13. Very true. I wonder if that skull cave can be turned into commercial space?
  14. But didn't they mention that the light, airy flat wasn't going to be light and airy once construction around it was done?
  15. I wanted to know why they couldn't just keep their money separate and have him add a bigger chunk if he was the one so interested in a huge house.
  16. For the foster mother's hose I was sad, but not surprised, that they made the outside of the house grey even though the owner made sure to say how much she loved yellow. Especially as there were already a bunch of neighbouring houses that were grey.
  17. I thought the North Hollywood redo looked boring. I was hoping for some personality, but nope. Grey/white open concept. Booorrrriiinngg.
  18. $1200 a year is a good chunk of change. A lot of visits to restaurants, bars, and trips around south Asia.
  19. How do you think they got there? A good percentage weren't born there.
  20. Really? A lot of the ones that were renovated or designed within the past 5 years look exactly alike to me.
  21. Nope, but they've done a number of episodes there. I remember Schoolhouse Beach.
  22. There are lots of other reasons. Jobs, family, education, money, adventure....
  23. Her accent didn't change at all. I could hear from the beginning that she'd grown up in Bermuda. My father-in-law only lived full time in NYC for nine years and then spent summer holidays there for another seven and he still sounds like a Brooklyn cabbie lol.
  24. I loved the wife and the agent wondering about what he wanted so much privacy for in the backyard.
  25. That step-father in Upper Arlington OH came off pretty unfeeling. At least they picked the good house in the great location. I loved the bathroom and some of the older touches. Nothing cookie cutter. From the way some parents talk you'd think children under eight have never taken a shower or children over eight have shared a room.
