How depressing that there are so few affordable homes for sale. I personally preferred the two storey, but what they picked wasn't bad.
-
That's because for HGTV it's "personality" that sells, not design talent. (Well, actually it's being white that sells, but "personality is second....)

After seeing it I can understand her not knowing that was a radiator. It was covered in a bit of a strange box.

I wonder during all that time the Hawaiian couple spent trying to have children if they talked at all about what they would do with the child(ren) once they were there? Dad should have been seeing a therapist and parenting expert to deal with his abusive childhood. It's like people who spend a year or two planning the "perfect" wedding but never think about their marriage. I don't think kids need a lot of stuff to not be badly behaved. It was more how they were being treated by their parents, especially dad, than that they don't have lots of toys.

The house where they took out the closet by the front door was a bad move. Especially in a rainy, cold place like Washington you need somewhere right by your front door to put coats, shoes, boots etc.

No, it needs to have a toilet and sick to be a bathroom legally in most states. A toilet alone cannot be called a bathroom. Just as often a room that doesn't have a closet or proper window can't be called a bedroom.
-
That's illegal in some states. Most require a sink to be legally a bathroom.

He said attention he deserves, not applause. I liked his sense of humour.

Except for the pool it also sounds like the mom in the Rochester Mich episode.

100-1 it will still end with two men and a woman and the woman doesn't get a single vote.

Hope the current floodings are effecting any of their houses. Or others who can't afford it.

Why are people so more accepting of polygamy where it's all for the husband's benefit? What's wrong with a women getting what she wants in a marriage?

House Hunters International - General Discussion

The players would have alcohol poisoning with that game! As for the white, I think he knew she wouldn't allow a rug or paint or art. -
That condo was soooo overpriced. But I felt bad for the wife. She had to be her husbands freaking mother/secretary. I just hope she does good by that house and doesn't take out everything great and paint all the wood.
-
Did that? No one forced the husband to stay or to marry her in the first place.
-
Not one word about needing 'charm' and then wanting an open concept white/grey box.....
-
But the minister and his wife said it was outside donations.
-
The church house. Certainly a family with NO house could have used that 85k.
-
I'm behind an episode, and I'm sure some people will completely disagree with me but..... was 85k for people who already had a perfectly good house the right way to spend the money?
-
Open concept 100% of the time isn't function IMO. As for poo-pooing, it's more the owners say a garage or a screened in porch is important on our list and she just refuses to even consider it. I agree about closets. Those are pre-loaded ones that they show.
-
Work well with the people? You mean when she's poo-pooing what they want and telling them they should want something else instead? Or when she's designing the same 3 rooms over and over again. None of her designs are original. She could do three episodes and then just tell the workers "watch those episodes".
-
Doesn't make it right. Sadly most men see that as "women's work".
-
The Anderson family didn't really need Jo. All they needed was common sense and a father who gave a crap.
-
Yeah, I got sick of his insults about how overly emotional his future wife was. It also seemed like buying a house was more about winning to him than the future. He also didn't seem to put any time into planning their wedding.
-
Why? They use the exact same reno trends that are seen in California, and every other HGTV state.
