  1. There's going to be a Doctor Who graphic novel from Penguin Books that will be released on November 16 and the synopsis says (or said) it ties in with Episode 2 of Series 13 and involves Captain Jack Harkness and the Torchwood Institute. It's written by Jody Houser who writes the Doctor Who Titan Comics. Cultbox has a writeup about it https://cultbox.co.uk/news/headlines/doctor-who-series-13-captain-jack-novel-ties-in-with-episode-2 You can see the page for the novel and the synopsis on Amazon (US) (unless it gets altered, like it has at the Penguin website and Amazon UK) https://www.amazon.com/Doctor-2021-Event-Jody-Houser/dp/1787737527/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=doctor+who+2021&qid=1619108477&s=books&sr=1-2 There's no information at this point on whether John Barrowman makes any kind of appearance in Series 13. It's all pretty intriguing
  2. I will absolutely not be surprised if it turned out he abused her. Or she killed him
  3. Between Natalie, Will, and possibly April previously, they’ve gotten the ethical violations all sewn up. Sheesh I wonderful if Charles’ daughter is acting out as fallout from the pregnancy and its failure? The post Covid patient apparently has endometriosis in her lung (which I’ve never heard of, so fascinating), but nothing was said that it was affecting her uterus and it would likely affect her getting pregnant
  4. An update! Netflix will be streaming Season 2 starting May 31 https://www.usatoday.com/story/entertainment/tv/2021/04/21/new-netflix-may-2021-amy-adams-woman-window-selena/7299739002/
  5. Last episode I wondered if Nxly was faking her niceness, and boy was she. Either that, or the Zone was affecting her mind Pretty fun episode, especially with Brainy’s zany eating and quips. I fully expected he wouldn't know how to use the Ghostbusters gun but I guess he’s smart enough
  6. They were apparently filming at what was apparently Neath Abbey yesterday. Instagram post with pictures and information that's probably just speculation based on crew comments https://www.instagram.com/p/CN3ExFxspqJ/ A Facebook post saying they were filming at Neath Abbey https://www.facebook.com/paul.davies.5832/posts/10158142202184646
  7. This was a good and entertaining episode I actually thought Kemi might offer her grandkids to Cheuy's mom as stand-ins for blood-related grandkids, but maybe the culture doesn't think like that, otherwise that would have been brought up. I felt bad for Kemi when she called one of her sons and he didn't have time for her. Poor Cheuy is going to be so hen-pecked by his mom and Kemi, but at least Kemi can go toe-to-toe with the mom
  8. For all we know, Q could have been (or started as) Russian disinformation
  9. Good episode overall I could swear Nolan’s professor had a British accent before, but maybe I’m just remembering the actress using a British accent in a previous role. Does the actress normally have a British accent?
  10. In the DVR numbers, for the first 2 episodes of the season, the 18-49 demo was 0.2 vs 0.3 in the first season, while the viewers were down more, 0.81 and 0.71 vs 0.99 for the Season 1 finale. The overnight viewers at the beginning of this season were actually better than the beginning of last season, but have fallen below last season for the last few episodes. And yes, the drop seems to coincide with the nearly 7 weeks off and change to Sundays. Why do networks continue to mess with their shows' schedules like that?
  11. I didn't read the New York Times articles related to this (this was before I got a subscription; is the Magazine different from the paper?) so I'm looking forward to this. I'm sure it's going to be controversial just like it was for the NYTimes
  12. Longer ago than I remembered it seems!
  13. I think it was maybe a season or two ago they sort of became exes-with-benefits. Still part of each other's lives but not married or living together. Fairly interesting stories all around, though I'm not sure how it was ethical for Erin and Jack to be on the same case as opponents (and her asking him to defend one of the defendants). Eddie definitely needs to be in a different precinct as Jamie. Working under him is not really working for them as a couple
  14. Given there are 3 episodes left, I assume there will be an episode on the 18th. I guess part of the problem is that since there are only 3 episodes left, I assume NBC wants to show them all in May with no breaks (also, the finale will be an hour later because it will be following The Voice)
  15. Per EW, the season has been shortened by 2 episodes to 16 for pandemic reasons. It will return May 11 and its season finale will be on May 25 https://ew.com/tv/this-is-us-season-5-two-episodes-shorter/
  16. Miralax mixed with Gatorade or something like that for mine a couple of years ago. And you are asleep for the procedure, which has some risk, so it’s not nothing. But probably all of it better than in the 80s I think I enjoyed the IRS plot the best
  17. It wouldn’t surprise me if it only lasts another season or 2. Its 18-49 ratings have really fallen in the last couple of seasons, though the viewer numbers are still decent against the competition
  18. Regarding the renewal, I wonder how much longer Selleck wants to be doing this given his health stuff and how much he has slowed down. Of course, his character could retire and the younger generations would be fully front and center. But then, how many of the older viewers would still watch without Selleck?

  21. I'm both intrigued and horrified by this show. I'll stick with it for the season for now, but I'm not sure I'll be there for a season 2 unless it gets way less cringey
  22. Is there a show reason Cisco seems to always be taking off every few episodes or is the actor doing other projects (you would think The Flash would be in first position for his acting priorities)?
  23. I haven't had a chance to watch the 3-parter on Hemingway, but I've heard it's good Some interesting stuff coming up this month (days and times will vary with your local PBS stations): There's an interesting documentary on WETA called "When My Time Comes" on end of life issues that was shown last night on WETA. Diane Rehm, a former NPR reporter, whose husband suffered a lingering death, looks at medical aid in dying and the pros and cons of it. I don't know if it's only for WETA or if other PBS stations have picked it up Nova has an interesting 2 hour doc called "Picture a Scientist" premiering tonight on my local WETA station that looks at woman and People of Color in STEM and the harassment and bias they suffer American Experience will show the doc "American Oz" starting on the 19th about Oz creator and writer Frank L. Baum PBS Newshour has a special called Critical Care: America vs. the World set for the 21st Frontline will show the 2-part "The Virus That Shook the World" on April 26 and 27 on how the pandemic affected people "Greta Thunberg: A Year to Change the World" is a 3-parter on the young climate activist that will be shown on Wednesdays starting April 28 in my area "Human: The World Within" is a 6-parter that will look at the body's inner workings and starts April 28 Season 2 of "History with David Rubenstein" will premiere April 30. I don't know if it's just available in my area as it's a WETA production, but it's a half hour interview show of people who have done history projects
  24. Former Bachelor Colton Underwood came out as gay in a taped interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America this morning
