  1. I guess I wasn’t paying enough attention early on because I thought he was Monica’s regular attorney. It was only when his name was said when Monica and the agent were talking to him that I realized I was confused. I definitely remember him as Lewinsky’s attorney once the scandal blew up though not all the details
  2. The guy playing attorney William Ginsburg was awesome in his few scenes The scene with Coulter and friends going through the tapes and being annoyed by it was funny Lewinsky really did well holding out on those guys in the hours they were holding her. She was a mess but managed to be smart and crafty as well
  3. Never should have happened to Monica for, I think it was Monica who said, a personal affair and lying in a civil trial. Ken Starr and company clearly were reaching when they couldn’t get the Clintons with the rest of his investigation
  4. Update: Given The Activist series imploded due to protests, it looks like SWAT will continue on in its Friday timeslot for now according to The Futon Critic, though it will likely have reruns at times
  5. The executive producer/showrunner Meg DeLoatch and Beth Behrs discuss the miscarriage storyline with TVLine (possible spoilers for future episodes) https://tvline.com/2021/10/11/the-neighborhood-miscarriage-explained-gemma-dave-losing-baby-season-4/ DeLoatch talked to TVLine in a September 19 article on her approach as new showrunner https://tvline.com/2021/09/19/the-neighborhood-season-4-premiere-meg-deloatch-new-showrunner-preview/
  6. Good episode. Some very nice scenes between Dottie and Olu and Tunde. I was not expecting Dottie to be able to walk, but it doesn’t surprise me that she could and hid it
  7. One of the show's producers Matt Strevens posted on his private Instagram account the other day that said he was going into Wales for the last time for a Doctor's appointment. The suggestion is that they are filming final scenes for Jodie's last special, which sounds about right as it's been speculated they are almost finished filming
  8. There is speculation they are talking about Rochenda Sandall and that maybe she'll have a recurring role in Series 13 like Jacob Anderson
  9. Sony Pictures Television (part of Sony Pictures) is set to become the major stakeholder in Bad Wolf. The article from Broadcast. You need an account to read, but you get 5 free articles per month https://www.broadcastnow.co.uk/indies/sony-set-to-snap-up-bad-wolf/5164166.article Screen Daily summarizes the Broadcast article https://www.screendaily.com/news/sony-set-to-snap-up-his-dark-materials-producer-bad-wolf/5164171.article From their summary: "A rival bidder is understood to have offered a higher sum, but the indie is understood to have considered Sony the best cultural fit for the business. Some of that will likely stem from the shared history between Tranter and SPT president of international production Wayne Garvie. The pair worked together at the BBC in the early 2000s in drama and entertainment respectively, and again at BBC Worldwide (now BBC Studios) in 2009, after Tranter began heading up the production arm’s US operations, reporting to Garvie." Just to note, the BBC still owns Doctor Who and makes the decisions. This will just make the co-producer bigger. We'll see what changes this brings. Hopefully more money in the budget. Maybe they'll mostly take over producing from BBC Studios
  10. Just to note, the Who social media accounts were back up yesterday almost exactly 24 hours after they went down. Besides a slightly more orange logo, I'm not sure anything else changed. Other than getting fans talking about it, I'm not sure why they needed to be down a day. But they were back a half hour before the new teaser was revealed on TV
  11. Very enjoyable premiere, though I skipped over the snakes which aren’t my favorite things. The various babies were so cute
  12. I too liked this and thought it was pretty funny Those basement ghosts are seriously weird and their whole thing made me laugh. I hope we learn why they are isolated from the others
  13. It appears the show is now mandating Covid vaccinations according to Nancy Lee Grahn, apparently the only daytime soap doing so https://www.soapoperanetwork.com/2021/10/general-hospital-only-daytime-soap-vaccine-mandate-says-star-nancy-lee-grahn
  14. FYI, Series 13 premieres October 31. Here's the poster for it that the Doctor Who account tweeted. Gorgeous Series 9, Episode 7, "The Zygon Invasion"
  15. From everything I'm hearing, October 31 is more likely And the new promo, shown just a few minutes ago before Strictly Come Dancing. "The Flux is Coming" ETA: Yep, Halloween premiere is confirmed. And a subtitle, cool!
  16. My DVR didn't record Friday's episode because it thought it was a repeat and I didn't think to check in time, so I'm watching it now on ABC's website I like Phyllis so I hope she sticks around
  17. I enjoyed the 2 parter in spite of the implausibility of 2 people taking on a group of paramilitary soldiers and winning. Those guys should give whatever they were paid to charity for such poor work
  18. Next doc: "Jagged", November 19, 11pm ET, which seems a little late to me; the Futon Critic right now is listing it at 9pm. It's about the life of Alanis Morisette's centering on the release of her 1995 album "Jagged Little Pill
  19. Several things happening since yesterday: 1. The BBC Doctor Who social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc) went down yesterday and fans are going wild speculating what's up. It's either intentional leading into more Series 13 promotion (see below) or some sort of glitch 2. One or more billboards in Liverpool were showing a clearer version of the glitchy teaser 3. Sometime today an electronic advertisement showed a number to call and if you call (from the UK), it's a voice mail intro from the Doctor (Jodie) saying there's an invasion of Earth and please report what you see 4. There's a lot of speculation that something might be revealed during one of the BBC's primetime shows tonight 5. As part of Part 3, there's some sort of link on the Doctor Who page off of the BBC page with terms and conditions about some sort of game or something in relation to the upcoming season about reporting alien sightings to the Doctor. Some fans believe it's an augmented reality type game 6. I guess one last thing. Because of the social media outage with no explanation, the hashtag "#WhereIsDoctorWho" was created by a fan and has been trending since last night
  20. What a fun episode. My favorite bits were Tom cutting loose because he thought he was high and his wife Marina trying to get the best of her nemesis Kirsten(?) via text messages at the club with backup from several people
  21. Clinton and Lewinsky were certainly wrong in wanting to lie in depositions and at trial about the affair, but so many people were trying to use the affair, and anything else they could gets their hands on, just to get Clinton. It’s disgusting, and Monica got used and abused by them as a weapon in their war against the Clintons. Ken Starr’s 2 assistants (was one of them Brett Kavanaugh?) were chomping at the bit to find any way they could, including the affair, to keep their investigations going to find something on the Clintons. Involving the FBI and everyone else for something that was an affair just seemed like overkill. I guess some of that was due to accusations Clinton and Lewinsky were going to lie on depositions and a trial, but that wouldn’t have happened if Tripp hadn’t involved herself with Lewinsky and trying to get something on Clinton. What a mess that ended up being
  22. Part 2 of TV Line’s interview with the series producers on how Afghanistan affects the season after the premiere. Part 1 can be accessed in the link https://tvline.com/2021/10/07/united-states-of-al-recap-season-2-premiere-explained-afghanistan/
