  1. Sandoval is not winning. VPR is maybe a year or two from total demise. He is 40 years old and his bar is struggling, his band is a joke. Ariana is going (round 2) on Broadway. No, he is definitely not winning.
  2. Ariana has refused to film with one person. And that refusal has not stuck. She filmed with him countless times through the season. She can refuse to talk to him. Well within her rights. Of course, all this happened BEFORE she landed the show that is going to delay the next season of VPR, but based on the sour grapes in the last five minutes of this episode, I can imagine every last one of them is madder than a wet hen in a hurricane. If Ariana left the show, she might be missed, but what with Chicago on Broadway and the TV show hosting gig and the commercials, she wouldn’t be hurting and the rest would still be relying on their days ten years ago. Ariana did not go looking for these opportunities; they came to her. And that just trips the trigger for every one of these lost souls that cannot get away from their 20s when they are in their 40s.
  3. I thought it was incredibly inappropriate to confront Carl's mom at the shower about everything. She wanted to create a scene, but just made herself look quite juvenile.
  4. I am lukewarm about the responses to Carl and Lindsey. She is someone to be frightened of, based on her normal behavior. She is gaslighting Carl six ways from Sunday - I remember from the opening of the new season where he apparently let her know the wedding wasn't going to happen (not a spoiler, since this entire season is a flashback as to how they got to that point). First thing she did was run to the phone to get her story out before Carl's truth got out there. She is a conniving individual and cannot ever be seen in a bad light or seen to be wrong. Carl on the other hand is still in his recovery. He shouldn't have gotten engaged or even into a fulltime relationship until he'd settled into his recovery. In addition to his recovery, he had to deal with the loss of his brother and, as he said in the previous episode, get used to his 'new family', when his mother re-married. For a normal person not dealing with addiction issues, his family issues are a lot to cope with. He also needs to make his OWN decisions about what he wants to do with his life. Lindsey is not supportive of ANYthing that takes Carl out of her orbit where she can control him to her liking. The others on the show see the issues but are smartly staying out of it before Lindsey goes on the attack against them, too. I cannot imagine what next season is going to look like with the fall-out of the failed engagement. Either Lindsey or Carl will have to figure out if they can be part of the show if the other is also involved - I can see Lindsey trying very hard to keep her spot on the show, so she doesn't have to go to work like the rest of them do. We could lose Carl in all of this and that would be one more destructive factor in his life, along with all the others.
  5. And as is true with nearly every full-length dress on all of the Bravo shows, no one gives any consideration as to how the outfit will look while sitting, which is 90% of the positioning on any of these shows.
  6. Say what you will about Scheana, but she has finally hit the nail on the head with Sandoval in the last scene of the episode tonight. Everything that Ariana did wasn’t for her. Not the eggs freezing, the house, or any of the rest of it. She did all that for both of them: Tom and Ariana. Not just Ariana. And it’s about time Tom acknowledges that in light of all he’s done to Ariana. Scheana wins the episode tonight.
  7. Given that this all went down at a party with LOTS of alcohol, which we know from history, no one on this show other than Carl can handle, in the light of day and with the fog of hangover lifted, Danielle did what I would expect. She didn’t blame alcohol of course, but she did try to make right with Gabby in the light of day. Doesn’t excuse the behavior, but puts a light on it.
  8. Just watching the show today. Ick didn’t sound too convincing when Dani said she wasn’t coming to Rio. Also, his response to her announcing the pregnancy was underwhelming at best. And yet, they now have another child to raise. That makes four, including Ick.
  9. Trying to generate interest in the Valley, which I won’t even start. I appreciated Scheana going after Sandoval. No one seems to realize that that restraining order will appear on background checks for Scheana for the foreseeable future. That is damaging to most anything she may want to do, post-show. Sandoval dismissing her anger about it doesn’t help his case for acceptance at all.
  10. West is barking up a difficult tree. Ciara just isn’t going to have time for him. He is just a toy for her and I don’t mean that to be insulting to her. Probably would be better for him to focus on getting a job again. The writing is on the wall for Carl and Lins. She isn’t ready for marriage. Not one bit. Substance abuse recovery is a long process. She is not the person Carl needs during recovery.
  11. I strongly suspect that Dannielle has already been abandoned by Garrick. He'd've done it whether Roberta hung around or this new one stuck around. Garrick tossed Dani to the curb the moment he divorced her in favor of Roberta. Once Roberta abandoned them, Garrick made no move to re-marry Dani or even give her any comfort or stability in their relationship. The video she shot of the two of them arguing over Nathalia's communication with Dani spoke volumes about both of them. She came off quite unhinged and he came off quite uninterested in her point of view. This is an abusive relationship, even though it's not violent, as they don't know how to communicate with each other about this activity and he's simply not listening to her and minimizing her feelings. I hope to read soon that they've separated, but at the same time Dani has no visible means of support and Garrick isn't going to willingly give up the few assets he has (meaning his business).
  12. Hell, I just moved back to Connecticut from Wisconsin back in August. Hubby will follow as soon as there is an opening in the CT branch of the business he’s in. I moved to Wisconsin almost ten years ago, but when I retired, he said we should move back and here we are. Far as I am concerned, this outcome was surprising to me, but no different than so many of the other relationships that didn’t make it past the honeymoon phase. Now I wonder what the financial implications are for the two of them with their more complicated finances.
  13. Good thing she did all that BEFORE he dumped her.
  14. When my now-ex husband attempted suicide in 90’s, the doctors we dealt with said that if it hadn’t happened then, it would’ve happened later. Suicide, they told me, isn’t always an impulsive move but is well thought out and planned. The same doctors told me that suicide isn’t something that someone else can stop. The recriminations of ‘I could’ve stopped this’ are false and unhelpful. My ex passed away in December, nearly 30 years to the day from the attempt he survived, but from which he was forever changed.
  15. Both show demographics have their casts in their 40s. Still pitiful and sad.
  16. When you get a chance to watch early seasons, you can see that Lindsey has NEVER respected her partners or her friends. She has some serious unresolved abandonment issues, or something, that push her into these rages on the slightest provocation, real or imagined. She should not be in a long-term relationship and definitely should not consider getting married. Look at what she did to Danielle last season, look at the ‘make ME a sandwich’ from an earlier season. She is deeply disrespectful in her relationships. She will continue to be single and not by choice.
  17. They need to get new people for the show. Ones that aren’t jaded and pushing or past 40. The interesting part of the show was the interaction at the restaurant. No one works there anymore. In fact, most of them just plain don’t work. Pining for an invite to DWTS and whining about not getting one is not a job. I am also avoiding The Village because, even in a different setting, these people have no redeeming qualities.
  18. Reminds me of that long-ago story where the female astronaut drove multiple dozens of hours to stalk a paramour. Wondering if, like her, they stocked up on diapers for the trip, so they wouldn’t have to stop during their 12 hour drive for necessary facilities.
  19. Agreed. Are the available story lines so lacking that they have to pull something out that happened ten YEARS ago to have anything to film. Stick a fork in VPR. It’s cooked.
  20. I think they are walking on eggshells around her, which isn’t healthy for her or for her friends. That said, if she did get on another show, she can walk away from Vanderpump Rules and not look back. She won’t have to interact with any of them or them with her. Hopefully, that contract comes with a bit better money for her too. This all leaves Katie in a lurch and she hasn’t done much to endear herself to the rest of the group. Constantly sour-faced and acting the sycophant to Ariana isn’t a story line.
  21. Re: Danielle and Ick. Always remember and never forget: They got divorced so Roberta could come to America to be married. Danielle has no obligation to stay with Ick except for the kids. They will eventually be old enough and she can leave. I hope she is banking her portion of the TLC checks, so she will have a nest egg after all of this. Divorced, she gets nothing from Ick.
  22. I guess this show has such low interest, there isn't even an episode thread for this week.

    The Valley

Let me be the first to say: This is like watching paint dry or grass grow…..
  25. Lindsay is definitely making the story about how awful Carl is. He isn’t. But she has a history of narcissism where she cannot be to blame for anything. It is always someone else’s fault. Look what she did to Danielle last year. Look what she did to the previous boyfriend a couple of seasons back. She is perfect for the public relations field, which I imagine she will have to return to after the break up, because she spin anything. Great PR person; lousy mate.
