  1. Maybe there are apartments going off to the right of the mailboxes, or on the side where the audience is.
  2. Neither fell. Hanyu outscored Chen in the presentation score 94.34 to 88.86. Chen outscored Hanyu in the technical 115.48 to 112.33. Totals Hanyu 206.67, Chen 204.34.
  3. That scatting was actually pretty good. Every time I think they are going down the road to make the Rose family caricatures, they fool me. I actually like them, but when I started watching them I thought I would just be laughing AT them.
  4. Glenn and Cheyenne bonding was great - I'm glad Glenn got a "win" out of it, even if he didn't really do anything. I'm glad they're not actually showing Dina and Garrett making out - just implying it is enough for me.
  5. Yeah, that was crazy. Especially for a nest that large; that many wasps could actually kill someone. I was a little bemused at all the services available to order via app in a large city. We don't even have Uber here, so the idea of ordering someone to BUILD A FIRE is just something I can't even conceive of doing.
  6. I thought Peyton Manning did a pretty good job. Boy, he's tall. I also hope Phil's development works. It seems like he would have to get a lot more people investing, though; that's a huge project!
  7. I'm with Katie on this one! The point that different people have different "love languages" was very interesting; who knew you could learn something on a sitcom? When Angela made that vulture sound, I cracked up.
  8. I think the 90s hairstyle ages her, but yeah, IMO her playing 28 is pushing it.
  9. Was that older guy the doctor from "The Love Boat"?
  10. When Bonnie went into the bedroom to wake Adam, I thought he was going to be dead. And I thought, "well, I didn't see that coming!" I'm glad to see the end of Adam, and I'm glad Bonnie didn't backslide due to his influence.
  11. Oh, I would really like to see Sheldon and Amy babysit!
  12. Those waxing scenes made me think "what have we become that women feel the need to be as hairless as a child?"
  13. Just a guess - I think the FCC rules on language just apply to broadcast shows, so a cable-only show would be able to set its own standards. And the time of day might make a difference too; I've seen shows on Comedy Central that bleep words during prime time but don't bleep them at late night. I remember the first time they aired "Saving Private Ryan" on TNT, they didn't bleep out the language but during the (limited) breaks put up a warning about the language.
  14. Adam was in a horrible accident and lost the use of his legs. The pot might have been medically prescribed for pain. (It's California, right?) The cookies weren't in a tupperware, they were professionally wrapped, probably purchased from a dispensary. I don't think they have ever said anything like that in the show, but it's very likely he still has pain from the accident or even from sitting in the chair so much. In the real world, he would have told Bonnie about the cookies, but then we wouldn't have had a show. The pain also might be the source of his excessive drinking, although he really needs to get a handle on that; it can wreck his health. Anyway - it was fun watching all the ladies having a blast!
  15. She got mono and missed a lot of classes.
  16. It's hard to imagine someone would be on one of those Cottenelle commercials without being a paid actor.
  17. I like Ashley too. Her programs are different and fun to watch. I like the way her programs have to coordinate with the music; with those lyrical classical pieces, the skater is less challenged to synchronize with the music. This has been going on for so long, I don't see how she can continue without a major change in SOMETHING.
  18. I don't have as much a problem with old TV shows. Maybe in the old studio system (where an actor was hired by the studio) actors were given elocution classes.
  19. Count me as one who is tired of the hype around Gracie Gold. I just can't care about her any more. I enjoyed all the top 3's programs, but performance-wise, I preferred Ashley Wagner's program. It was just so much fun to watch. She really knows how to grab the audience.
  20. That happened to me and some friends at a restaurant in the Keys in the 90s; I don't know if it was something common back then, but that really made me mad to see it again. Poor Evan; that hair was awful!
  21. I think one of my favorite TV moments of all time was when Bobby asked Hank if he could get a gun rack for his bike, and Hank replied that he'd never been so proud. That show just NAILED Texas!
  22. At our next family gathering, I'm going to play People BINGO!
  23. I loved the scene where Viv was telling Katie about her first husband. That really helped humanize the character. The ending scenes with Oliver and Luz, then Oliver with the family, were sweet, but that was such a dramatic change of heart for him; I guess I can cut him some slack since he's a kid. I hope they make him more likeable, because he's been pretty insufferable up to now.
